Precautions
Before using this product, carefully read this manual and retain it for future
reference. Read also the instructions
for the PlayStation®3 system.
- The vibration function can be turned on or off from the menu that is displayed by pressing the PS button of the Wireless Controller.
- Do not use the vibration function if you have any ailment or injury to the bones, joints or muscles of your hands or arms.
- Avoid prolonged use of the PS3™ system and Wireless Controller.
- Stop using this product immediately if you begin to feel tired or if you experience discomfort or pain in your hands or arms during use. If the condition persists, consult a doctor.
- Do not expose the product to high temperatures, high humidity or direct sunlight.
- Do not allow the product to come into contact with liquids.
- Do not put heavy objects on the product.
- Do not throw or drop the product, or otherwise expose it to strong physical impact.
- Take care when using the Wireless Controller’s motion sensor function.
- Before using the motion sensor function, make sure you have enough space to move around.

Exterior protection
Follow the instructions below to help prevent the product exterior from deteriorating or becoming discoloured. ˎ Do not place any rubber or vinyl materials on the product exterior for an extended period of time.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the product.
- Do not use solvents or other chemicals. Do not wipe with a chemically-treated cleaning cloth.
Battery life
- The battery has a limited lifespan. Battery duration will gradually decrease with repeated usage and age. Battery life also varies depending on the storage method, usage state, environment and other factors.
- Charge in an environment where the temperature range is between 10°C – 30°C. Charging may not be as effective when performed in other environments.
Storage
When the Wireless Controller is not used for an extended period of time, it is recommended that you fully charge it at least once a year in order to maintain its functionality.

Frequently Asked Questions
I cannot turn on the PS3™ system with the Wireless Controller?
Make sure that the Wireless Controller is fully charged. If it is not, charge it for at least two hours.
The PS button of the Wireless Controller does not work?
Make sure that the Wireless Controller is turned on. If it is not, press and hold the PS button for at least seven seconds to turn it on.
I cannot connect to a wireless network?
Make sure that the Wireless Controller is turned on and that you have correctly entered your wireless network settings in [Settings] > [Network Settings]. If you have not yet configured your wireless network settings, refer to “Configuring Your Network Settings” (page 23). If you have already configured your wireless network settings but cannot connect to a wireless network, try connecting directly to your modem or router using an Ethernet cable. If you can connect to a wireless network by using an Ethernet cable, there may be an issue with your wireless network settings. Check your wireless network settings again and try again. If you are still unable to connect to a wireless network, contact your Internet service provider for assistance.
I cannot connect to a certain server when playing a game online or using an application or service that requires an Internet connection (PlayStation®Network)?
Make sure that the Wireless Controller is turned on and that you have correctly entered your login information for PlayStation®Network in [Settings]
[Account Management] > [Sign-in Information]. If you have not yet configured your login information for PlayStation®Network, refer to “Entering Your Login Information” (page 36). If you have already configured your login information but cannot connect to PlayStation®Network, try connecting directly to your modem or router using an Ethernet cable. If you can connect to PlayStation®Network by using an Ethernet cable, there may be an issue with your login information. Check your login information again and try again
Is the charger included with this?
Every controller I’ve bought from Amazon doesn’t include a charger unless it’s specifically mentioned in the product description.
If the 5-volt battery is fully functional. I recently shipped some bogus joytech back to China.
The controller has the following information on the back: “Wireless Controller DC 5V 500 mA also, just a comment, the vibrations are spot on and phenomenal, not feeble, very strong vibrations.
Is this a genuine PlayStation 3 original controller or an aftermarket model?
This PS3 controller is authentic and official from Sony. Both the front and rear of it bear Sony branding.
Will this connect through Bluetooth on a Mac?
I can’t say for sure because I haven’t tried it. I’m aware that they don’t function on PCs until you download software that makes the controller functional, so perhaps you could locate an equivalent solution for the Mac.
Is there a USB charging cord included with this?
No, unless you purchase the kit, which, from what I can see, also includes a game, controller, and cable.
I don’t want a knockoff of the Sony Dual Shock 3 controller for the PlayStation 3?
