Optimal Shade Performance
Due to the manufacturing process, to assess optimal shade performance and

- Remove mounting plate from bracket. Turn mounting plate so holes align with side. Snap mounting plate and bracket together.

FOR WALL MOUNT
- Position brackets; mark screw locations • Wall mount
- Position the mounting plate so that the holes in the mounting plate align with the bracket holes you need for your installation.
FOR SIDE MOUNT
- Position brackets; mark screw locations • Side mount
- Position the mounting plate so that the holes in the mounting plate align with the bracket holes you need for your installation.
Install bracket covers, if no valance
Slide covers onto brackets. Bracket needs to be tucked underneath the
bracket cover lip when fully attached. The bracket cover should be completely
flush with the bracket cover lip.
Mount shade in brackets. Ensure hem bar is facing forward and shade installs in the brackets from left to right and the plungers snap into the bracket openings.
- Keep shade completely rolled
- If it is a dual lift shade, when installing the shade, make sure the clutch and chain is facing down.
WARNING: Ensure shade is fully raised before removing.
Shade removal
- Make sure the shade is fully raised. Do not uninstall if the shade is extended at all. Push the clutch end of the shade in so the plunger is compressed. Compress the plunger until the hooks clear the bracket. Lift the shade out of the bracket.
Dual lift: Install chain guide
- Mount chain guide on the wall or window frame, leaving some slack in the chain. The chain guide will need to be assembled by snapping the two ends together around the metal housing.
Optional: install hold-down brackets
- Press or hammer pins into holes in ends of bottomrail. Screw hold-down brackets into position. Lower shade and place pins into holes.
Dual lift: shade operation
- Pull cord in front to raise shade; pull cord in back to lower shade. The opposite is true for reverse roll.
Cordless lift: shade operation
- To lower: gently pull straight down using the hem bar grip. Lower shade to the desired position.
- To raise: gently push straight up using the hem bar grip. Raise shade to the desired position.
Cleaning and care
Lightly vacuum panels with a soft brush attachment or wipe with a duster. Do not use water or liquid cleaning solutions. Shades may also be gently wiped with a clean damp cloth. Allow the shade to dry completely before raising. Do NOT completely immerse.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Optional: Adjust Shade Brake
The shade brake is calibrated at the factory, but if the shade creeps down
or is difficult to lower once installed, the brake may be adjusted. To do so,
remove shade from the brackets according to the instructions in Step 6. Next,
insert a 5/32” Allen wrench. If the shade creeps down, turn the wrench
clockwise ¼ turn to tighten the brake. If the shade is difficult to lower,
turn the wrench counterclockwise ¼ turn to loosen the brake.
If shade does not raise fully
- The stopping point at the top of the shade can be adjusted to consumer preference. If the shade is too low and after ensuring your shade is fully raised, follow the shade de-install steps below.
WARNING
Ensure shade is fully raised before removing.
- A Remove shade from bracket
- Insert a flat head screwdriver into the bracket removal ramp and rotate.
- B Remove clutch
- The clutch’s outside ring will also need to be removed from the shade.
- C Wind shade and reinstall clutch
- Simply rotate your shade clockwise or counter-clockwise until it is at the desired height. Reinstall the clutch and ensure that it is facing downwards before reinstallation of the shade. For detailed instructions on how to reinstall, refer to Step 5 found earlier in this installation guide.
