Troubleshooting

The truck is not running when prompted by the remote control:

  • Check that the tires and the orange axle gear are not obstructed, and they can move easily.
  • Make sure the antennas for the truck and remote are installed correctly.
  • Check the batteries for the truck and the remote control. It is recommended to use new batteries when you first operate the truck. You will also have to check if they are installed corectly with the corect polarity. Take them out and place them in again all the way in the battery case. Ensure that the ON/OFF switch is in ON position.
  • If the truck is running on solar power make sure the solar panel is fully exposed to strong, direct sunlight, unobstructed by clouds or any shade. Move the truck in different angles to get the best exposure if necessary. The truck is designed to run primarily on bateries withthe option of using solar power when possible.

The truck is running slow:

  • The motor speed is directly influenced by the power received from the battery case or the solar panel, when used. The lower the energy from the batteries the slower it will run. If the solar panel is not directly exposed to direct, strong sunlight or if the sunlight is obstructed the truck will run slow and eventually stop. If the truck is running on batteries check the level of the batteries.
  • Check the tires connections and the orange axle position, make sure they all move unobstructed.

The truck is moving by itself without controlling it:

The signal frequency used by the remote control is the same with some home appliances, cellphones and other remote-control products.
If the receiving circuit panel on the truck receives the same signal from any other sources, it will move the truck. This issue is prevalent indoors and it can be easily solved by turning the ON/OFF button on the bottom of the truck in the OFF position.

FAQ

  • What are the functions of the remote control?
The car can be driven in two directions – forward and backward by activating the buttons on the remote control.

  • How long does it take to build?
The truck can be built usually within 40-min to 1 hour.

  • Can the same remote control multiple trucks?
Yes. The frequency the remote-control uses is the same for all units. Its signal can be received by cars of the same frequency nearby.

  • What is the maximum remote-control distance?
6-10 feet, depending on several factors such as the battery levels for the remote and truck (if it runs on batteries) and the interference With other appliances which can occur mosty when indoors. For best performance use it outdoors where such interferences are minimal.
