Installation Instructions

Connect the router to the power and connect the WAN port to the broadband network. Newland NL-81 Router fig 2

*The first network port on the right side of the power hole is the WAN port, and the second, third network port is LAN port.
If the router LED indicator is red and the network is not connected, please refer to “Configuring the Router”.
When the router LED indicator turns white, the router has been successfully installed.

Configuring the Router

3.1 Configure using APP (recommended)

  1. Download and install”Router WiFi” APP and register to login to the home page;
  • This APP can manage routers such as remote control, smart connection, open Wi-Fi timer, open guest Wi-Fi, etc.

    1. Open the mobile phone WLAN settings page, select and connect the CLARO_WIFIXX
      Wi-Fi network (Wi-Fi name and password to view the bottom label of the router);

    2. Click the “ + ” and click the “Connecting Device”Newland NL-81 Router fig 5

    3. Click “start Configuration” will automatically detect the Internet access method;Newland NL-81 Router fig 64.1. When the automatic detection is  successful, the Wi-Fi settingsare automatically entered.Newland NL-81 Router fig 74.2. When the automatic detection fails, you can reconnect.
      (This step may be skipped due to different internet access methods.)Newland

    4. Set the router’s new Wi-Fi and administrator password. It is recommended to set the Wi-Fi password as the administrator password.Newland NL-81 Router fig 9

    5. The configuration is successful.

  • The router LED indicator white long brightindicates that the network connection is successful, and can access the InternetNewland NL-81 Router fig 10

  • If the network match is abnormal, you can press RET botton for more than 3 seconds to resume the factory settings and start again.
    *3.2 Other (optional reading):
    How to add multiple sub-routers to extend Wi-Fi network?
    Method 1: Use network cable to add sub-router
    Connect the power supply, insert the two ends of a network cable between the router’s network ports (the WAN port of the sub-router connect the LAN port of the main router), automatically obtain the configuration and connect successfully.Newland NL-81 Router fig 11
    Method 2: Use APP to add sub-router**

    1. The sub-router is close to the main router and connected to the power supply.
    2. Open the “+” enter the Search Router pageNewland NL-81 Router fig 12
    3. Press the WPS button of the sub-router about 3 seconds. After the LED indicator flashes, release it and start the network configuration.
      If the LED indicator turns white and bright, the network is successful (usually about 1 minutes). After successful networking, the APP interface displays the connected  sub-routers.Newland NL-81 Router fig

Warranty Description

When you purchase a product offered by Newland from an authorized dealer, you have a 12-month warranty as standard, except for man-made causes. The warranty period begins on the date of invoice.
For your lawful rights and interests, please notice:

  1. Please keep this card properly. No reissuance will be provided if you lose it and it becomes invalid if altered.
  2. In the event of non-man-made failure of the product, you can guarantee the product by the warranty card and the purchase invoice marked with the product number.

Warranty does not cover the following circumstances:

  1. Damage or malfunction caused by man-made reasons such as opening or remodel the machine on users’ own.
  2. Damage or malfunction caused by unsatisfactory environment.
  3. Damage or malfunction caused by force majeure incidents (such as fire, earthquake, lightning strike, war).
  4. Damage or malfunction caused by failure to operate and maintain in accordance with the user’s manual.
  5. Damage of external parts such as equipment enclosure, power connector in operation.
  6. The inconsistence of the Warranty Card and the product serial number, or the warranty card has been altered.
  7. Damage or malfunction caused by transporting, loading and unloading.

We provide paid repair and maintenance service for the products that are beyond the warranty scope.
