Thank you for purchasing this Duro product.

12 months limited warranty

This product (the “Product”) is warranted to the original purchaser for twelve (12) months from the date of purchase to be free of structural and mechanical defects due to faulty material or workmanship. If a structural or mechanical defect occurs during the warranty period, DURO or its designee will repair or replace the defective part(s) of the Product, at its own option.

Warranty service may be obtained by contacting Duro Sales & Service Centre or your local distributor with your name, eWarranty Acknowledgment , original sales receipt and a description of the problem.

eWarranty Registration

To be eligible for warranty coverage, the original purchaser must register the product online at www.duro.com.sg within 14 days from the date of purchase.

This product is not intended for the secure storage of all materials. Items such as
firearms, other weapons, combustible materials, or medication should NOT be stored in this unit.

WARNING
Your safe is only part of your total security protection.
DURO recommends that you store your safe in closets, offices, bedrooms and any other locations that are convenient for you but out of direct line of sight from prying eyes. The location of the safe does not affect the safe’s ability to protect your valuables inside.

WARNING
Batteries
To power the lock, four (4) alkaline AA batteries (not included) are required.
Note: Non-alkaline and rechargeable batteries ARE NOT RECOMMENDED.
Please change your batteries periodically before it leaks. Warranty will be void when battery leakage occurs.

Preparing the safe for first time use

  1. Remove the Key Lock Cap.
  2. Insert Override Key and turn anti-clockwise. (Note: the drawer will eject instantly)
  3. Turn the Override Key to LOCK position and remove key.
  4. Install 4 AA batteries into the battery case on the rear side of the front panel.
  5. Press the Personal Code Reset Button on the back side of the front panel.
  6. Key in your 4-6 digit Personal Code and .

Changing your Personal Code

  1. Press to activate the safe. Enter your 4-6 digit Personal Code and press . The LED Display will show , then . The lock will dis-engage and the drawer will eject instantly.
  2. With the drawer in open position, press the Personal Code Reset Button on the back fo the front panel and the LED Display will flash USER.
  3. Enter your new 4-6 digit Personal Code and press . You will hear 2 short beeps.
    When the LED Display flash , you had successfully changed the Personal Code.

WARNING
Test your code several times before putting valuables inside.
Do not remove Override Key in the UNLOCK position.

Changing your Master Code

  1. With the drawer in open position, press and the Factory Master Code (159), followed by . The LED Display will flash . You will hear 1 short beeps.
  2. Enter your new 4-6 digit Master Code and press . When the LED Display flash , enter your new Master Code and press . You will hear 2 short beeps.
    When the LED Display flash , you had successfully changed the Master Code.
    The Master Code will remain when you change the Personal Code.

To lock your safe

This safe will lock when you push the drawer to the closed position with your last programmed 4-6 digit Personal Code.
To change your Personal Code, please see “Changing your Personal Code” on page 3.

To unlock your safe

  1. Press to activate the safe. Enter your 4-6 digit Personal Code. The LED Display will show O , then O . The locking bolts will dis-engage and the drawer will eject instantly.

“Hidden Code” mode

Press to trigger the mode. The LED Display will flash .
In this mode, the LED Display will flash when you key in your Personal Code.

To exit the mode, press . The LED Display will flash OFF.

“Hold” mode

The safe automatically enters a 30 minutes “Hold” mode after an invalid code has been entered 3 consecutive times. In this mode, the safe will not respond to any key and the LED Display will flash , where the is the holding time.
After 30 minutes, the safe will return to normal operation.

Override Key

If the electronic lock fails, or you do not have the Personal Code or Master Code available, you may use the Override Key to open the safe.
Remove the Key Lock Cap and insert the Override Key. Turn anti-clockwise and the drawer will eject.

Reprograming safe lock after Override Key use

  1. With the drawer in open position, turn Override Key clockwise to engage the locking bolts.
  2. Press the Personal Code Reset Button on the back of the front panel.
  3. Enter your 4-6 digit Personal Code and press .

Bolt-Down the safe

  1. Select a suitable and convenient location for your safe.

  2. Open your safe and pull drawer to eject fully.

  3. Locate the Black Lever on each side of the slide as shown in the picture below.
    Pull the lever up on the LEFT and push down on the RIGHT.

  4. Pull drawer out. Locate the pre-drilled holes on the base and rear of the safe.
    Secure the safe into position with the Bolt-down Screws provided.

  5. Push the slides on both sides of the safe inwards. Align the slides with the drawer and push inwards.

WARNING
TAKE EXTRA CARE when removing the drawer from the safe. The weight on the front side of the drawer is much more heavier than the rear.

Tips & Precautions

  1. Low voltage – the LED Display will flash when the battery power in the safe is running low. Please replace with 4 “AA” alkaline batteries.
  2. The Factory Personal Code and Factory Master Code will not be able to open the safe once they are changed. Please keep your programmed codes available.
  3. Do not pull the Override Key out in the UNLOCK position.
  4. Do not mix batteries. Always change batteries in a set of the same brand.
  5. also functions as a Backspace. Press to delete the last entered digit.
  6. Do not use any chemical, abrasives, bleach, detergents, solvents or metal scouring pads on any part of the safe.

Reprograming safe lock after Override Key use

  1. Leave Override Key in unlocked position.
  2. Touch the number pad to activate the safe.
  3. Press . The LED Display will flash Icons. Turn Override Key clockwise to engage the locking bolts.
  4. Activate the safe and press 1234 # to dis-engage the locking bolts. The safe is now returned to normal operation.
    To lock the safe, enter you 4-6 digit Personal Code and press .

Bolt-Down the safe

  1. Select a suitable and convenient location for your safe.
  2. Open your safe and remove the carpet. Secure the safe into position with the Bolt-down Screws through the pre-drilled holes at the bottom of the safe.

CAUTION
DO NOT keep the override keys inside this safe.

Bolting / unbolting of the safe is at the expense and discretion of the owner. DURO or your local distributor is not responsible for any cost incurred if the safe is to be moved or replaced.
