IKEA SOLSTOL Rod Canvas

SOLSTOL lock allows the user to easily lock cabinets and drawers with the included pre-paired key tags. SOLSTOL lock can be mounted on most IKEA cabinets and drawers.

Product Features

  • The lock comes with two pre-paired key tags.
  • Other Type-A key tags compliant with ISO/IEC 14443 can be paired with the lock.
  • Single Type-A key tag compliant with ISO/IEC 14443 can be paired with any number of SOLSTOL locks.
  • The lock emits a warning signal when the batteries run low.
  • Safety feature opens the lock before the batteries die.

IMPORTANT

  • The lock fits cabinet doors and drawer fronts which are less than 30 mm thick.
  • The lock is not suitable for metal or glass cabinets and drawers.

Instructions for use

  • Install the lock and lock-plate according to the assembly instructions for your product. Ensure that nothing is blocking the lock’s pin after installation. If the pin is obstructed when locking/unlocking, the lock will emit a signal that indicates this.
  • Insert batteries and check that both the pre-paired key tags work with the lock before first use.NOTE! The package does not include batteries.
  • To lock/unlock, hold the paired key tag close to the reader. If an unpaired key tag is used, the lock will emit a signal that indicates this.
  • If batteries run low, the lock will emit a low battery warning signal every 4 hours and every time it is locked/unlocked. Replace the batteries promptly. If the batteries are not replaced before they die, the lock will open automatically and remain open.
  • To reset the lock, press and hold the button for 10 seconds. Note! All paired key tags will have their current pairing erased.

TIP! We recommend that you put one of the paired key tags in a safe place as a spare key. Note! there are no spare key tags available at IKEA.

Instructions for using other Type-A key tags compliant with ISO/IEC 14443

  • Other Type-A key tags compliant with ISO/IEC 14443 (for ex. library card, membership card and public transport card) can be used as a key tag for SOLSTOL lock. You can pair up to 10 key tags at the time with one lock.
  • To add a new key tag, press and hold the button for 2 seconds until a sound signal can be heard. Hold the new key tag close to the reader. The lock will emit a confirmation sound when the new key tag is paired.
  • To remove the pairing of key tags, reset the lock.

WARNING

  • Discard the product if damaged.
  • Use only indoors.
  • Never submerge in water or other liquids.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the product.
  • Do not use batteries which are low in charge or empty.
  • Always insert the batteries into the charging slots according to the polarity indications (+/-).
  • Risk of explosion if either battery is replaced by an incorrect type.
  • Do not mix batteries of different capacities, types or date stamps.
  • Batteries should be handed in for recycling in accordance with local environmental regulations for waste disposal.

Care instructions
To clean the product, wipe with a dry cloth.

Good to know

  • The lock works for approx. 24 months without changing the batteries. This applies when using 2 x LADDA AA HR6 2450 mAh batteries and when the lock is opened/closed 3 times per day.
  • Operating temperature: 0 °C to 40 °C (32 °F to 104 °F).
