Filter Replacement Kit HRV/ERV

Read all instructions and WARNINGS carefully before beginning.
WARNING: Risk of electrical shocks. Before servicing or cleaning the HRV/ERV system, always disconnect the unit from its power source.

Four times a year or as needed, vacuum the filters.

Replace the filters once a year.
Note: The model VNT5070 has all ports on top of the ventilator. -
STEP 1 : Disconnect the power supply.

STEP 2 : Unlatch the door panel.

STEP 3 : Remove the door panel by sliding it off the hinges.

STEP 4 : Remove the filters and vacuum. (Figures 1 and 2) (Skip this step if you are replacing the filters.)

STEP 5:
- HRV MODEL: Once a year or as needed, slide out the heat recovery core. Vacuum the four surfaces, let soak in warm water for 15 minutes, then spray rinse and let dry. (Figure 3)
- ERV MODEL : Once a year or as needed, slide out the energy recovery core. Vacuum the ERV core or rinse with cold water. Do not use soap, a dishwasher, or a pressure washer. (Figure 3)

STEP 6 : Once a year or as needed, clean the interior of the unit (walls and drain pan) with a mild non-abrasive soap. It is recommended to use environmentally friendly products. (Figure 4)

STEP 7 : Replace Core.

STEP 8 : Replace and dispose of the old filters under your municipal guidelines.

STEP 9 : Reinstall and latch door panel.

STEP 10 : Connect the power supply.

Note: The model VNT5070 has all ports on top of ventilator.
