What’s Included With The P-16-C

  • 1 Power Pour P-16 Pump Unit
  • 1 Gooseneck Spout Assembly
  • 1 Set of Spout Side Lines
  • 1 Set of Bottle Side Lines
  • 1 AC Power Supply (110VAC)
  • 1 DC Power Harness (12VDC)
  • 1 Spare Fuse (5Amp)
  • 4 Mounting Screws
  • 4 Mounting Washers
  • 18 Fitting Locks

Chose an Installation Location

When picking a location to install your system there are some considerations to keep in mind.

  1. The pump unit and spout should be no more than 4 feet apart. If your installation requires them to be mounted further away than that please purchase a Line Extension Kit (P-16-LEK) to extend the lines by an additional 4 feet.
  2. Make sure the pump unit is installed lower than the spout and higher than the bottles to prevent siphoning.
  3. Make sure that there is either a 110VAC power outlet within 4’ of the pump unit so you can plug it in or a 12VDC supply to wire into. The unit comes with a 110VAC power supply and a short 12V power harness so you are covered regardless of which type of power you use.
  4. Decide where you will be mounting the spout. The spout should be mounted in a location where you can access it from both sides (above and below the counter) so that you can connect your lines and tighten the spout to the counter.
  5. Figure out where you will be storing your bottles or beverage containers. Bottles or beverage
containers should be positioned no more than 4 feet from pump unit. If your installation requires them to be mounted further away than that please purchase a Line Extension Kit (P-16- LEK) to extend the lines by an additional 4 feet.

Please note that only 1 Line Extension Kit (P-16-LEK) total can be installed on the same pump unit. If more than 1 is installed it may cause damage to the pump unit.

Installation

After you have picked a suitable location to install your system it is time to begin gathering the tools necessary. You will need…

  • 1 ½ Inch Hole Saw
  • Drill
  • Philips Screwdriver
  • Pen or Pencil
  • Masking Tape

Installation is very straight forward, and in most cases requires only one hole to be drilled.

  1. Mark the location where you will be drilling the hole to mount your spout. It may be helpful to put some masking tape over the area you are drilling to prevent chipping. Once you are satisfied with your location drill the mounting hole using a 1 ½ inch hole saw.

  2. Unscrew the nut from the bottom of the spout assembly and insert the spout assembly through the hole you have just drilled. Once the spout is fully inserted screw the nut back on and get it hand tight. Do not overtighten as it could make removal difficult in the future should you need to for any reason.

  3. You will now want to adjust the height and orientation of your spout. To do this loosen the collar by turning it counter clockwise this will allow you to move the spout up and down as well as rotate it freely. Once you are satisfied with the spout position tighten the collar back down just enough to hold the spout in position by turning it clockwise. Do not overtighten as it could make it difficult to readjust the spout in the future if necessary.

  4. Install the pump unit. The pump unit mounts using the 4 holes around the perimeter of the unit, there are 2 on the left side and 2 on the right side. The first step is to put a washer on each of the 4 mounting screws.

  5. Hold the pump unit up and mark the location of each screw with your pen or pencil and drill pilot holes if needed. Once you have your locations marked begin installing the screws and washers in each of the 4 holes. These should be snug but not too tight.

  6. Connect the LED cable from the spout to the port on the bottom of the unit.

  7. Install the set of Spout Side Lines on the pump unit. These lines will install into the row of push to connect fittings towards the back of the unit labeled SPOUT. It doesn’t matter which of the spout side push to connect fittings you install each line in as they are all going up to the spout.
To install each line firmly push the side without the check valve into the push to connect fitting on the pump unit until it stops. Should you need to remove a line once it has been installed simply depress the collar of the fitting and pull the line out.

  8. Connect the set of Spout Side Lines to the Spout. Take the other end of each line that you just installed that has the push to connect check valve on it and connect them to the lines coming out of your spout assembly. Push each push to connect check valve onto each line coming out of your spout firmly until it stops. Should you need to remove a line once it has been installed simply depress the collar of the fitting and pull the line out.

  9. Install the set of Bottle Side Lines on the pump unit. These lines will install into the row of push to connect fittings towards the front of the unit labeled BOTTLE. It doesn’t matter which of the bottle side push to connect fittings you install each line in as they have not been connected to bottles or beverage containers yet. To install each line firmly push the side without the bottle stopper into the push to connect fitting on the pump unit until it stops. Should you need to remove a line once it has been installed simply depress the collar of the fitting and pull the line out.

  10. Plug the AC power supply into the pump unit and then plug it into a 110VAC outlet, or plug your DC power harness into the pump unit and wire it to a 12VDC power source. Ensure the DC power source is turned off when wiring to it and plugging the DC power harness into the pump unit.

  11. Ensure the Lockout Switch is flipped towards ENABLE.

Configure the Power Pour App

  1. Ensure your Power Pour pump unit is plugged in and has power then open the app on your device.

  2. Once opened you will see the start-up screen and it will say Fetching Latest Data. This screen should only last a few seconds and then the home screen will pop up. If it says Fetching Data for longer than 6 seconds click the Connect button ( Figure 4). Now you should see the main screen ( Figure 5 ).

  3. Click on the settings button in the upper right to continue the set up process. The settings screen should look like this.

  4. The first thing to configure is the LED color. To change the color simply tap the color you’d like.

  5. Next input your WiFi credentials for future app updates. Enter your network name in the SSID field. Now put your network password into the Password field and click the set button. Please note that both fields are case sensitive.

  6. Now adjust your pre measured pour amounts. To do this select the pump you wish to adjust and hit the + or – to increase or decrease the pour time (Figure 8). Please note that from the factory pour amounts are preset to 2 seconds and 4 seconds for Pre Measure 1 and 2 respectively. Also note that a 2 second pour will yield approximately 1 shot or 1.5 oz.
Depending on how you run the lines it could change the yield per second. We recommend that you check each pump by running water through the line and into a measuring cup to figure out exactly how much time is required per shot. (1 shot is equivalent to 1.5oz)

Flush the Lines & Connect Bottles

In this section we will go through the process of getting the unit ready for use. For this section you will need the following items.

  • A pitcher of warm water (½ – ¾ of a gallon)
  • An empty pitcher of the same size or larger than the other one
  • The bottles you will be connecting
  1. First place the empty pitcher under the spout to catch the liquid.

  2. Next place the bottle side lines in the pitcher filled with warm water.

  3. Under the settings window scroll to the bottom of the screen and hit the button that says “Clean Lines”. This will cause all the pumps to turn on and run for 30 seconds. This should transfer all of the water to the pitcher under the spout and run each line dry. No harm will come to the pumps by letting them run dry.

  4. Empty the pitcher under the spout and then place it back under the spout for the next step.

  5. Connect all of the bottles by inserting each bottle side line into the chosen bottle and pushing the stopper all the way in. As you look at the lines on the pump unit from left to right, they are Pump 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Next adjust the line by pulling or pushing it through the stopper till it is just touching the bottom of the bottle. Please note that the stoppers may fit loose in large bottles.
If you run into this issue purchase a pack of large bottle adaptors from us. (PP-LBA)

  6. Name each pump to correspond to the bottle you have hooked up to it. To do this hold down on the text below each button until a text box appears. ( Figure 9) Type in your chosen name, then to save it hit the Return/Enter button. (Figure 10) If you are successful in renaming the pump a box will pop up that says “Renaming Successful” ( **Figure 11).

**

  1. Prime each pump by hitting the button of the pump you wish to prime and then holding the Continuous pour button ( Figure 12) until you see the beverage you hooked up to that pump come out of the spout. Repeat this for each pump until they are all primed. Feel free to consume this or just throw it away.

  2. You are now ready to use your Power Pour system!

Updating the Firmware

When new firmware is available a message will pop up letting you know new firmware is available.
Updating the firmware is pretty straight forward, just follow the steps below.

  1. Go to the settings menu and enter your Wi-Fi credentials. Keep in mind these are case sensitive for both the network name and password. Once connected it will say “Connected to WiFi (your network name)
  2. Click the Update Firmware button at the bottom of the screen ( Figure 6)
  3. The device will disconnect from the unit while the update takes place. The update should take no more than 5 minutes to complete, the unit will reconnect after the update is successful. You should now see the new firmware number listed above the Update Firmware button on the settings page.
  4. Should the unit fail to connect after 5 minutes, click the connect button on the screen. If the app still won’t connect to your device, close out of the app completely, unplug power from the unit, wait 10 seconds and then plug power back in and reopen the app. Click connect and check to see what version of firmware is loaded. If it is the old one repeat the process again. If it fails to work again please contact customer service at info@powerpourusa.com.
