Overview

This device is mainly used to read animal micro- chips and display the corresponding iso ID on the TFT screen, save the information of the tags, and plot the temperature curve for the corresponding temperature of the iso number. The device can read all animal tags based on the FDX-B protocol. FCC Statement
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not accur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna
increase the separation between the equipment and receiver
Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected
Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help
This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

Operating Instructions

1. Button Operation Logic
   Single-click button: to validate (eg, on the scan menu single-click the button to validate the entry of scanning)
   Double-click button: scroll pagereg on the scan menu, double-click the button to scroll to the record menu
   Note: Same level page scrolling, no cross-level page scrolling. On the screen this icon means can be scrolled to next page.
   To press the button for 2s, to return.

2. To Switch on
   To press the button for 0.5-1s to switch on the reader, you will see Biotrace logo and the buzzer will beeps once.

3. To Switch off
   To press the button for 3s until the display shows the shutdown countdown icon, keep pressing untill the display switch off and the buzzer beeps twice.
   (Note if you release the button during the shutdown count down will cancel the shutdown and return to the previous menu records per page, and single press the button scrolling to the next page.
   On UPLOAD sub-menu, press the button to upload the stored transponder IDs. Before the uploading. please make sure the reader is connected to the pc or the smart phone APP.
   On DELETE sub-menu, to press the button will display ‘click again to delete’, to press the button again to delete all records, the screen will show ‘delete success!”
   On the ‘click again to delete page, double-click or long press the button for 2 seconds to cancel the delete and return to the previous menu.

C-SCAN
The continuous scan will display two functions, continuous scan and the microchip ID. On the continuous scan page, single-click the button to start the continuous scanning, and the display will show CONTINOUS SCAN. When the transponder is scanned, the reader will emits a Automatic Switch off: The reader will switch itself off automatically in two minutes without any oper- ation to save battery power.
Functions
The reader has a built-in gravity sensor for the screen to rotate. When the screen is tilted horizon- tally more than 45° the screen will automatically rotate to maintain the optimal angle for the human eye.

On ENGLISH sub-menu, Double-click the button to scroll the languages, and single-press the buttion to set the selected language and displays ‘OK!’

The reader has 7 main menus, there are SCAN, RECORD, C-SCAN, LANGUAGE, BLUETOOTH, ABOUT and MANUAL, Double-Click the button to navigate through each menu.
SCAN
The SCAN menu has 3 states (Scanning, Chip informa- tion display, Tag no found). Below image is the exam- ple of the chip information display. On SCAN menu to press button to start chip read- ing for 10 seconds. RECORD
The RECORD menu has 3 sub-menus, there are: DISPLAY, UPLOAD, DELETE. On RECORD menu, press the button to enter the sub-menu, on the sub-menu, double-click to navigate the sub-menu from DISPLAY, UPLOAD to DELETE.
