Product Usage Instructions
- Stop the air conditioner operation and turn OFF the power supply breaker.
- Open the Electrical Cover of the indoor unit.
- Connect the 4-pin connector to CN9 of the indoor main PWB.
- Join the end of the dry contact side to the dry contact cord using the contact with the sleeve provided.
- If Alarm Display function is required:
- Connect the Alarm Display connector to the HA-Adapter.
- Join the LED circuit to terminals 3 & 4 of the HA-Adapter.
- Set the dip switch SW501 of indoor main PWB to enable the dry contact function.
- Ensure no wire is clamped when assembling back the electrical cover.
- Perform an operation check after connecting the Dry Contact cord.

INSTALLATION AND OPERATION
DRY CONTACT KIT WITH ALARM DISPLAY FUNCTION (Optional Part)
This product is a connecting cord to connect a Dry Contact Unit and Alarm
Display Unit to the PWB of the room air conditioner indoor unit. Beside this
booklet, in order to perform an installation work, you may need to refer also
the Installation Manual for each indoor unit. Make sure items listed below are
included in the package.

Separate purchase
- HA-S100TSA : HA adapter (connecting kit to connect with Alarm Display Unit).
- SPX-WDC2: Connecting cord for Dry Contact kit without the Alarm Display function.
CAUTION:
- Stop the air conditioner operation and turned OFF the power supply breaker before installation work.
- The wiring length from indoor PWB to Dry Contact Unit shall be within 15m.
- Do not install dry contact cord with power cord or other cord together. It may cause Dry Contact Unit malfunction due to electrical noise.
Wiring Instruction

Open the Electrical Cover of indoor unit.

Connect (1) 4 pin connector to CN9 of indoor main PWB.

Joint the end of (2) dry contact side to the dry contact cord by using contact with sleeve provided in the package.

Joint (3) Alarm Display connector to the HA-Adapater (HA-S100TSA: optional part).

Joint the LED circuit (local procurement) to terminal “3” & “4” of HA-Adapter.

Set the dip switch SW501 of indoor main PWB to enable the dry contact function.
(Refer to “B. Setting Instruction for Dry Contact”) -
Make sure not to clamp any wire when assemble back the electrical cover.

Do an operation check after Dry Contact cord has been connected.
Ignore step 3 & 4 if Alarm Display function is not required.

Wire for this Connecting Cord have no polarity, any wire joint is acceptable. (Dry contact side)

NOTE
- AUTO RESTART function set to “Enable” is required (set pin#1 on the DIP SWITCH SW501 above to OFF position).
- DRY CONTACT function is “Enable” by set pin#2 of the DIP SWITCH SW501 to ON position.
- Select the proper setting for DRY CONTACT LOGIC INPUT pin#3 on SW501.
- Set to OFF position (Hi Input) if the type of Dry Contact switch to be used (for the CARD KEY UNIT or Window) is of contact type a (Normally Open Type) as shown in below diagram.
- Set to ON position (Lo Input) if the type of Dry contact switch to be used (for the CARD KEY UNIT or Window) is of contact type b (Normally Close Type) as shown in below diagram.
After all connection has been done, turn ON the breaker and push ON button at wireless remote controller or wired remote controller to operate the air conditioner unit.
- When the CARD KEY is in insert condition, the air conditioner operation setting is permissable by using remote controller.
- When the dry contact switch on the Card Key Unit is open (refer to diagram above for contact type a), the unit stops to operate (it takes 10 seconds to stop the unit operation after the dry contact switch on the card key turns off) and vice versa.
- When the card key is removed from the Card Key Unit, the wireless remote controller can not be used.
- When the card key is removed from the Card Key Unit, the wired remote controller LCD display is activated; however it has no control over the unit.
- When there is a failure happen, the Alarm Display function will activated and the LED will lit ON.
FAQ
Q: What should I do if I don’t need the Alarm Display function?
A: You can ignore step 3 & 4 in the installation process if the Alarm
Display function is not required.
Q: How do I set the DIP SWITCH SW501 for Dry Contact function?
A: Follow the DIP SWITCH setting instructions provided in the manual.
