ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Attach the detachable upper body frame to NEXG 2 by inserting it into the grooves near the headstock and bridge.
Secure the body frame with the provided screws, using the longer screw for the headstock and the shorter screw for the bridge.
Use a clockwise motion to lock the screws, and anti-clockwise to unlock.

I/O PANEL

USB Port
A USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer, including OTG* audio function. Use the provided adaptor and cable for charging. To update firmware, connect NEXG 2 to a PC/MAC via USB cable. Check device and cable compatibility for OTG audio function.

Phone Jack
Use a 3.5mm TRS output jack to connect your earphones. After connection, the NEXG 2’s built-in speaker system will be automatically muted. To avoid hearing damage, make sure to set an appropriate volume level before use.

Line Out Jack
Connect to external speakers, amps, mixers, or audio interfaces using a 6.35mm TS cable. The built-in speaker system will be auto-matically muted. Use buffering or DI equipment for long-distance signal transmission.

Mic In Jack
6.5mm input for external microphones and instruments. Imped-ance is optimized for microphones, which may cause tonal loss for instruments.

CONTROL PANEL

Function Key A
Press for Tuner Mode. Hold to remove vocals when using NEXG 2 as a Bluetooth speaker.

Function Key B
Press to mute the strings on NEXG 2. Hold to activate Bluetooth and connect smartphones for audio playback.

Main Knob
Use this knob to adjust values by turning it clockwise or counterclockwise.

Turn to change the master volume.
Press the knob to switch between preset banks.
Hold for power-on/off.

Display Screen
A color touch screen for easy access and control.

NOTE: If the NEXG 2 system crashes, hold down the main knob to perform a forced shutdown control.

CHARGING

To charge your NEXG 2, please follow these instructions:

Connect the provided power adapter to the NEXG 2’s charging port. Or place the NEXG 2 on the charging stand, and connect the adapter to the stand’s charging port.
Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
Ensure that the NEXG 2 is powered off during the charging process.
The power indicator light on the NEXG 2 will illuminate, indicating that it is charging.
Allow the device to charge until the power indicator light turns solid or the charging process is complete.
You can now power on your NEXG 2 and enjoy uninterrupted performance.

LANGUAGE AND ACTIVATION

Language Selection
Select your preferred language on the NEXG 2 when prompted during the initial power-up or after a factory reset. The device supports both Chinese and English.

Activation

To activate your NEXG 2, download Enya Music App and connect your device. If a pop-up notification appears on the screen, select “Activate.” If you choose not to activate, press “Skip” to proceed to the main menu.

Preset editing and warranty benefits are unavailable until activation in the APP.

After skipping the activation pop-up notification or if the device is already activated, the NEXG 2 will land on the Main Menu.

TUNER

To tune your smart audio guitar, play a string and turn the tuning peg until the display turns green. Repeat for each string until your guitar is fully tuned. Tune in a quiet environment and refer to the manual or contact support if needed.

How to Tune Your NEXG 2

Note of Each String (Standard Tuning)

6th string: Low E;
5th string: A;
4th string: D;
3rd string: G;
2nd string: B;
1st string: High E.

Tune Up (Too Low)

Tighten the tuning peg of the string until the meter on the display reaches the center and turns green. Repeat for each string until your guitar is fully tuned. Refer to the manual or contact support for help if needed.

Tune Down (Too High)

Loosen the tuning peg of the string until the meter on the display reaches the center and turns green. Repeat for each string until your guitar is fully tuned. Refer to the manual or contact support for help if needed.

Tuning Alert
There are three alerts of Tuner available on your NEXG 2 guitar, which can be selected directly on the touch screen or via the Enya Music app.

EFFECTS

NEXG 2 has 4 preset banks: Acoustic, Rock, Fusion, and Lab, with 5 patches in each bank.

Drum Machine

The NEXG 2 guitar’s Drum Machine uses real drum kit samples to reproduce the beats of a live drummer. With a tempo range of 40BPM to 260BPM, you can customize the tone, vibe, and texture of these beats to fit your music style. The Drum Machine function is synchronized, ensuring that they match in length and tempo. However, note that the Drum Machine tempo cannot be changed when Looper is active. To adjust the tempo of the Drum Machine, clear the phrases in the Looper first.

Operating Drum Machine

Drum Machine On/Off
Use this button to toggle the Drum Machine on or off.

Volume
Press this button to adjust the Drum Machine’s volume. Turn the Main Knob clockwise to increase the volume, and anti-clockwise to decrease it.

Tempo
Press this button to adjust the Drum Machine’s tempo. Turn the Main Knob clockwise to increase the tempo, and anti-clockwise to decrease it.

Beats Genres
Swipe up and down to browse through different genres of beats. Press this button to select a genre that you want to use.

Returning to Other Interfaces
To exit the Drum Machine interface and return to the Main Menu, press “Return”. To enter the Looper interface, press “Looper”. To access the settings interface, press “Settings”.

FOLLOW Mode

You can also turn the Drum Machine on or off while the Looper is in playback mode in both FOLLOW mode settings.
The system will automatically align the length of the looper and Drum Machine based on the current BPM settings.
The number of measures played will be determined by the sys-tem, which will automatically quantize the length. If you stop recording before the current measure ends, the system will cut the recording of the current measure. If you stop recording after the current measure ends, the system will automatically fill in the remaining part of the current measure.

Looper

The Function Keys A and B and the Main Knob in the Looper have different functions than in the Main Menu.

Function Key A
Press to record, stop recording, dub, or stop dubbing. Hold to undo or redo.

Function Key B
Press to stop or play, hold to clear.

Main Knob
Turn to adjust the value of the selected parameter, press to switch presets, or hold to power off. The NEXG 2 guitar’s Looper, or loop station, lets you record and play back musical phrases, and add additional content to create layered compositions. The maximum recording length is 70 seconds, and the feature can be accessed through wireless Footswitch.

Wireless Footswitch Paring

While we pair the devices before shipping, in some cases, you may need to pair them again. Follow the instructions below to pair the devices:

Power on the NEXG 2 and the Wireless Footswitch, ensuring they are within 1m of each other. If not already paired, the indicators of FS1-4 will be in a blue and breathing state. During this process, make sure the NEXG 2 is not connected to another wireless footswitch.
On the NEXG 2 screen, navigate to “Settings” and swipe to the bottom to find the “Footswitch Pairing” option. Alternatively, pair the devices through the App by accessing the “Global Settings” interface and pressing “FS Pairing.” The pairing process will commence automatically.
If the pairing process is successful, the indicators of the Wireless Footswitch will switch from the breathing state to the Presets Mode (only one indicator will be on).

In case the pairing attempts fail, hold the Footswitch icon on the NEXG 2 Settings screen to cancel the current pairing, and repeat the pairing process.

Tip: The Power Switch side should face the user when using the Footswitch.

Operations of pressing two buttons simultaneously to switch between modes:

Press FS1 + FS2 to enter/exit Looper.
Press FS2 + FS3 to enter/exit Tuner.

Wireless Footswitch – Preset Mode

In this mode, you can easily switch between the banks of NEXG 2 by pressing FS1-4. Each footswitch (FS) is assigned a specific bank, and only one of the indicators for FS1-FS4 will be on, displayed in blue color. FS1 is assigned to the Acoustic bank, FS2 to the Rock bank, FS3 to the Fusion bank, and FS4 to the Lab bank. The selected bank is shown by the indicator for the corresponding footswitch, which will be illuminated in blue color. For instance, if the Lab bank is selected, the indicator for FS4 will be on, in blue color, as shown in the picture.

Wireless Footswitch – Looper Mode

After the Footswitch is connected to NEXG 2, when the guitar is in Looper Mode, or if you press FS1 + FS2, when the Footswitch is in Presets Mode, the Footswitch will enter Looper Mode.

Wireless Footswitch Indicator Lights
The Wireless Footswitch provided with NEXG 2 has three main functions:

Switch effect presets or enter different modes.
Looper control.
Status indicator for low battery and paring.

Effect Presets Mode
One of the indicators is on and colored blue.

Looper Mode
The indicators for FS1 through FS3 are on and change color de-pending on the Looper’s status, while the indicator for FS4 will flash in blue.

Tuner Mode
All indicators are green. The Wireless Footswitch sends command data to NEXG 2 and receives status data from it. As a result, certain operations on NEXG 2, such as switching banks, can change the indicator on the Footswitch.

If the battery power drops below 20% while in use, all indicators will turn red to indicate low battery status. Pressing any of the footswitches will exit this mode, and the Footswitch will not send any command to NEXG 2 while in this state.

REPLACING STRINGS

Note: Make sure the strings are securely fastened to the bridge to prevent slippage during play. Additionally, use caution when tightening the strings to avoid over-tensioning, which can cause damage to the guitar.

TRUSS ROD (NECK) ADJUSTMENT

To adjust the truss rod:

Loosen the strings and then remove the cover on the headstock.
Locate the truss rod adjust-ment point and use the provided hex wrench to turn it.
Determine which way to turn the truss rod: Depending on whether the neck is too concave or convex, you will need to turn the truss rod either clockwise or counterclockwise.
Re-tune the guitar

MICROPHONE PAIRING

Hold the power switch on the microphone until the indicator light turns on and off, then press twice to enter pairing mode.
On the NEXG 2 screen, go to “Settings,” swipe to the bottom, and select the “Mic Pairing” button. If the button starts flashing, press the power switch on the microphone to complete pairing.
Alternatively, you can pair the microphone through the App in the “Global Settings” interface and select “Mic Pairing.”
Note that NEXG 2 can only connect to one wireless microphone at a time, either the handheld or headset mic.

APP

APP Installation

To edit NEXG 2’s preset patch and- ac App and connect your device. The app will scan nearby devices and list out all the Enya devices around. Select NEXG 2, then it will pair-, con You can also rename your device on the scanning page.

Switch Effect Presets in the APP

After downloading and installing the Enya Music app, connect your NEXG 2 device to the app to access the editing interface. This will allow you to easily switch presets using the app. To switch presets via the app, connect the NEXG 2 to the Enya Music app and select “Presets” from the left menu. From there, you can switch between preset banks and select a patch for each bank by tapping the thumbnail picture.

Effect Presets Management

With the Enya Music app, you can easily manage preset patches on your NEXG 2. You can manage presets via the Enya Music app by selecting “Pre-sets” on the left of the screen. From there, you can rename, change thumbnails, and swipe left and right to check patches. You can replace or edit patches by selecting the corresponding options.

Tip: Select the patch first before attempting to replace or edit it.

Replacing Effect Presets

To replace or edit a patch in the “Preset” interface, select the desired patch and click on the “Replace” button. This will take you to the official online preset library. Preview the 10-15-second snippet of each online patch before selecting to ensure it’s what you want. Press “Replace” after selecting a patch to replace it with an online patch.

Editing EQ

In the EQ interface, you can adjust the gain of different frequency bands using the 10-Band graphic EQ. The middle-frequency bin of each band is 31Hz, 62Hz, 125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, 1k Hz, 2k Hz, 4k Hz, 8k Hz, and 16k Hz, and you can adjust each of them from -12 dB to 12 dB. Note that if you are using the speaker on NEXG 2, you should pay attention to controlling the gain of EQ to avoid feedback issues.

Editing Effect Presets
NEXG 2 offers 7 types of effects, including Compressor, Distortion, Octave, Mod. /Flt. (Modulation and filter), Delay, and Reverb. In addition, you can also adjust the Dry Through Level and the Pickup Level.

Press “Edit” on a patch thumbnail to access the EQ and Effects editing interface for further customization.

The middle section of the interface displays the parameters that can be adjusted for the selected effect. Adjust effect parameters by turning the knob clockwise or an-ti-clockwise. To adjust the effect chain, select the effect you want to modify by pressing its icon at the bottom of the screen. The selected effect will be highlighted in the chain. Adjust pickup output level using the Level knob.

To switch the effects on/off, simply swipe up or down on the effect block in the effects chain. When an effect is turned off, its block will be in a darker color and located above the chain. Once an ef-fect is engaged, its icon will be highlighted in bright color.

If you choose Mod. /Flt., Delay, or Reverb, you can fine-tune the effect by adjusting the knob provided. This will allow you to tweak the specific modulation or filter, delay time, or reverb type applied to your sound.

Save and rename your adjusted patch by clicking on the “Save” icon located in the upper right corner of the interface. When you make changes to the parameters of the current patch, the system will detect it. Clicking the “Return” icon in the upper left corner will prompt a pop-up notification asking whether to save the changes or not. Patch renaming in the app will be automatically synced with the NEXG 2 device. When you save a changed patch and if the thumbnail has not been customized, the system will automatically update the image from the app to indicate that the patch has been successfully changed.

Tip: The system only supports alphabet letters and regular character symbols for patch names.

Editing Effect Chain

The editor interface allows for easy adjustment by displaying the effect chain in series. To understand the signal routing logic, take a look at the figure below for an understanding of how it works.

High- Pass

| This sets the frequency where the High-Pass filter starts affecting the sound. If the parameter is set to 100, then the High-Pass filter has no effect.

AI Profiling

We developed an exclusive sound profiling technology and optimized it through extensive trials and errors, allowing us to imple-ment a studio-grade profiling algorithm in NEXG 2. NEXG 2 has a sound profiling algorithm that optimizes the sound based on acoustic (AC) guitar signals collected through a smart-phone.

AI Profiling – Signal Sampling

We recommend positioning the smartphone microphone close to the 12th fret of the acoustic guitar and following the APP’s instruc-tions to play each string within 10 seconds, starting from the low E/ 6th string to the high E/ 1st string. It’s important to play the strings with consistent strength. After the profiling is complete, the system will prompt you to test the result and make sure it meets your expectations. It’s important to ensure a quiet environment and a stable position for your phone during the sampling process to obtain accurate results.

Tip: Once the A.I. profiling process is completed, all effects except the A.I. profiling, Reverb, and Dry Through will be turned off, and the EQ will be reset to a flat position. The Reverb will also be set back to its default settings.

AI Profiling – Result

If the results of the sound profiling process are not satisfactory, there are several methods available for adjustment. These methods include addressing factors such as the sampling environment, microphone position and frequency response, as well as human factors.

Sample again.
Adjust the smartphone’s position for a better profiling result. The suggested placement is close to the 12th fret, but it depends on individual circumstances.
Switch to a new sampling environment.
Adjust the EQ settings for further fine-tuning

Mixer
The NEXG 2 App and touchscreen provide options for adjusting the output gain of each channel in the mixer interface, with the slider bar on the left used to adjust the gain level from 0-100.

All parameters in the Mixer interface are global parameters and remain unchanged even if the patch is changed.

Tip: Guitar Output” is the volume of the guitar pickup signal with effects, not the same as “Pickup Level” and “Dry Through Level” in the Effects editor. To balance the guitar sound and vocals when using the built-in speaker system of NEXG 2, adjust the level of “Guitar Output” in the app mixer or screen settings.

Vocal Settings
In the App’s Mixer interface, there is a “Vocal Setting” button locat-ed above the vertical sliders for “Mic. In” and “Wireless Mic.” Press “Vocal Settings” to access the vocal effect editor interface.

The vocal effect editor interface allows you to apply a 10-band EQ and reverb to the vocal, with a middle-frequency bin of each band ranging from 31Hz to 16k Hz. You can boost or cut up to 12dB in each band.

Tips

When using NEXG 2’s built-in speaker, it is important to pay at-tention to the gain levels of the EQ to avoid feedback issues.
Mic. In and Wireless Mic. share a common set of effects settings.

Audio Settings
The Mixer interface in the App has an “Audio Setting” button above the “Wireless Audio” sliders. In this interface, you can use a 10-band EQ and reverb with the ability to boost or cut up to 12dB in the middle-frequency bins of each band.

Tip: Pay attention to EQ gain levels to avoid feedback issues when using the built-in speaker of NEXG 2.

System Settings

To open the system settings, select “Settings” on the left.

Auto Off: To save battery, use the Auto Off feature to set a time for the sys-tem to shut down automatically when inactive. Access the setting to adjust or disable the feature.
Tuner: Choose the type of tuning you’d like to use by selecting the Tuner mode.
Version: Check your firmware version and update to the latest software.
Screen Brightness: Adjust the screen brightness of the NEXG 2 display screen, which can also be done by using the onboard setting.
Breathing Light: Adjust the color and mode of the breathing indicator light.
Mic Pairing: Configure settings for the wireless microphones, which are mirrored as sliders in the onboard settings.
FS Pairing: Settings for the Footswitch.
Factory Reset: To restore the NEXG 2 to its original settings, you can use the “Factory Reset” option located in the “Settings” menu on the NEXG 2 screen.

Looper and Drum Machine in APP

To access the Looper and Drum Machine interface, press the “Tool” button on the guitar.

Turn on/off the Drum Machine.
Select genres for the beats of the Drum Machine.
Control the tempo of the Drum Machine.
Tap Tempo, tap to set up the tempo by measuring the time difference between 2 taps and translate it into BPMs (based on the quarter note)

Looper in APP

Use the Drum Machine FOLLOW button to sync the tempo of your loops with a built-in drum machine.
Use the Record, Stop, Dub, and Stop Dub buttons to control the recording process.
Use the Undo and Redo buttons to erase or restore the last layer you added.
Use the Play and Stop button to start and stop playback.
Use the Clear button to erase all recorded loops and start fresh.

IMPORTANT NOTES

It’s highly recommended to use the provided power adapter and USB cable to charge the device. The use of other power adapters may cause damage to the equipment or lead to electric shock.
Properly store all accessories, such as strap buttons and frame bolts, to avoid accidental ingestion by children. Make sure to tighten screws properly when re-attaching accessories.
Be cautious when operating accessories to avoid pinching fin-gers or other body parts. Children should use the device under adult supervision.
Before sending the device for repairs, make sure to back up all stored data or take note of important information. Enya is not responsible for the restoration of any lost data.
Modifying or disassembling the device and removing the certification label affixed to the back of the device may lead to legal penalties.

The problem has been subject to alteration, misuse, accident, or neglect. Normal “wear and tear”, including but not limited to any discoloration, fading or damage to the original finish, or worn frets, strings, tuners, hardware, and plating.
Any part of the product has been disassembled.

The product has shipping damages of any kind.
Damage resulting from exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, acts of nature, dry climates, or salt air climates. Failure to use a humidifier on the product will void your warranty if any cracking occurs. Warranty claims may not be considered if a quality humidifier is not used with your product while it is stored in its case or bag. When the instrument is not in its case or bag for more than two days we recommend, it is stored in a room with a relative humidity of 40-60% with its humidifier correctly installed inside the instrument.
The product is exposed to heating or cooling sources that cause damage to the instrument.
Personal opinions relating to the sound and tone of the instrument.
Maintenance requested consists of repair or replacement of options, accessories, or consumables.
Appearance defects are notified later than 7 days after receiving the products.
The warranty period has expired.

THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER THE FREE ACCESSORIES INCLU- DING INSTRUMENT CASE, TUNER, CAPO, STRINGS, SAND SHAKER, PICKS, AND POLISH CLOTH.

Any recovery is limited to the original purchase price. No other person is authorized to modify this limited warranty. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by state and jurisdiction. These rights shall not be affected by this limited warranty. This warranty cannot be transferred or assigned. After the warranty period, the customer can send the defective products to the service location with postage paid. Enya Music, Inc. will repair the defective products, the cost of repairing is on the customer. The amount of repair cost is case by case. Enya Music, Inc. will notify the customer of the amount of the fixing fee.
