2 CREATING A MACRAME SPIRAL KEY RING
1x macrame spiral key ring requires 2x 150cm length of green macrame rope. 1x 30cm length of green macrame rope and ix wooden bead.
- Fold 2x 150cm length of green macrame rope in half, pass the folded end through the key ring from back to front and fix it. (Fig. 1-2)
- Please note that the first rope on the for left is always called “a’ and the first rope on the far right is called “b’.
- Pass “a’ under the middle two ropes and press over “b’, then “b’ passes over the top of the middle two ropes into the bottom of “a”, tightening “a and “b’ to form the first knot. (Fig. 3)
- Repeat the step 3 24 times (Note: you can end this step when the key ring reaches the length you ore satisfied with) (Fig. 4-6)
- Thread 1x wooden bead through the end of the rope. (Fig. 7)
- Take 1x 30cm length of green macrame rope to make a “U” shape. (Fig. 8)
- Pull the longer end of the rope around all the strands and the U-shaped loop. Continue to wrap the rope several times over the strands and the loop. Then, pull the end through the U-shaped loop. (Fig. 9-10)
- Grab both the ends of the rope, which is the one you just pulled through the loop as well as the one that’s sticking out on top. and tug at them.
- Snip the ends off and your gathering knot is all done. (Fig. 11-12)
CREATING A MACRAME DAISY KEY RING
Ix macrame daisy key ring requires 1x 60cm length of pink macrame rope. 2x 60cm length of white macrame rope and 1x 40cm length of yellow macrame rope.
- Fold 1x 60cm length of pink macrame rope in half. pass the folded end through the key ring from front to back and fix it.
- Two pink macrame rope cross under to form a loop (Note: the left one is above the right one). (Fig. 1-2)
- Fold 2x 60cm length of white macrame rope in half, pass the folded end through the loop from back to front and pull tight. (Fig. 3-4)
- Wrap the middle two white macrame rope around the pink macrame rope on both sides from top to bottom, then through them above the pink rope and pull them tight. Then wrap two white rope on both sides around the one of the middle pink rope from bottom to top. then through them under the two white rope and pull them tight. (Fig. 5-8)
- Please follow the step 2-3 to fix 1x 40cm length of yellow macrame rope to the white rope. (Fig. 9-10)
- Two pink macrame rope cross over the yellow rope to form a loop (Note: the left one is above the right one). (Fig. 11)
- Wrap two white rope on both sides around the loop from bottom to top. then through them under the pink loop and pull them tight. (Fig. 12)
- Tie a bow across the tope of the yellow rope. (Fig. 13-15)
- Leave the bottom as long as you like and cut off any excess rope to finish one macrame daisy key ring. (Fig. 16)
CREATING A MACRAME BUTTERFLY KEY RIN
1x macrame butterfly key ring requires 4x 140cm length of pink macrame rope and 2x 140cm length of white macrame rope
- Fold 1x 140cm length of white macrame rope in half, pass the folded end through the key ring from front to back and fix it. (Fig. 1)
- Take another 1x140cm length of white macrame rope, place it in the center under the ropes fixed on the key ring and 3cm away from the key ring (Note: the left rope is called “a”, the right one is called “b'”)
- Pass ‘b’ under the middle two ropes and press over “a’, then ta” passes over the top of the middle two ropes into the bottom of “b’. tightening “a” and *b” to form the first knot. Repeat this step to make 2 knots. (Fig, 2-4)
- Please follow the step 1 to fold 1x 140cm length of pink macrame rope in half and fix it to the white rope on the left.
- Wrap the two fixed pink ropes around the white rope to the left and right. Now you con see 4 loops on the white rope. (Fig. 5-7)
- Repeat the step 4-5 to tie the remaining 3x 240cm length of pink macrame ropes to the white rope (Note: 2 pink ropes on each side of the white rope). (Fig. 8)
- With the two white ropes in the middle as the boundary, start weaving to both sides. Please note that the following steps take the left side as an example, and the right side can be done in the some way.
- On the left side, the first pink rope on the for right is the central rope “a” Wrop the second pink rope around “a” from bottom to top, then through it above the second pink rope and pull them tight. (Fig. 9-11)
- Please follow the step 8 to finish the second row, you will see 6 pink loops and 2 white loops on each side of the central rope “a*. (Note. each rope needs to be wound twice.) (Fig. 12)
- Take the first pink rope on the outermost side as the central rope “b. start weaving inward.
- Wrap the second white rope around “b’ from bottom to top, then through it under the second white rope and pull them tight. (Fig. 13-15)
- Please follow the step 11 to finish the third row, you will see 2 white loops and 6 pink loops on each side of the central rope “b*. (Note: each rope needs to be wound twice.)
- Please follow the step 10-11 to take the first white rope on the outermost side as the central rope, start weaving inward to finish the fourth row, you will see 8 pink loops on each side of the central rope. (Note: eoch rope needs to be wound twice.) (Fig. 16)
- Please follow the step 3 to tie 2 knots in the middle of two white ropes,
- Please follow the step 8-13 to finish the second half of the butterfly. (Note: only 1 white rope and 2 red ropes are used, so there are only 4 loops on per row.) (Fig. 17-19)
- With a white cotton rope on the left of the midole as the central rope c, the first pink rope on the left of it is wound 4 times from the bottom to top on “c” in turn. The same goes for the right side. (Fig 20-23)
- Reserve 5cm length of the two white ropes in the middle to tie knots. cut off all the excess rope, you will get a macrame butterfly key ring (Fig. 24-25)
CREATING A MACRAME DAISY WRISTBAND
Ix macrame doisy wristband requires ix 360cm length of green macrame rope, 1x 130cm length of yellow macrame rope, 1x 45cm length and 1x 180cm length of white macrame rope.
- Fold 1x 130cm lenth of yellov macrame rope in half, pass the folded end through the key ring from back to front and fix it. (Fig. 1)
- Please follow the step 1 to fix ix 360cm length of green macrame rope to the key ring under the yellow rope. (Fig. 2)
- Take another Ix 180cm length of white mocrame rope, place it in the center under the ropes fixed on the key ring and 3.5cm away from the key ring (Note: the left rope is called “a”, the right one is called “b)
- Pass “b’ under the middle four ropes and press over “a”. then a’ passes over the top of the middle four ropes into the bottom of “b. tightening “a” and “b’ to form the first knot. Repeat this step to make 2 knots. (Fig. 2-4)
- “a” and “b” cross indirectly on the middle 4 ropes, with “b” below it and “a” above it. (Fig. 5)
- Put the green ropes on both sides around the loop formed by the crossing of the white rope from bottom to top, then pull the 4 ropes tight. (Fig. 6-7)
- The green ropes on eoch side go around the white ropes on each side from top to bottom, and press over the top of the green rope to tighten. Then go around the white ropes on each side from bottom to top, and pull tight under the green rope to form the first Knot. Repeat this step to make 2 knots. (Fig. 8-10)
- Put the yellow rope on the left around the yellow rope on the right from top to bottom and press it over itself to form a knot. Repeat this step to make 2 knots. (Fig. 11-12)
- Please follow the step 5-7 to finish one macrame daisy. (Fig. 13-15)
- Please follow the step 3-9 to make the remaining macrame daisies, o total of 9 doisies. (Fig. 16-17)
- Fold the whole band back in half until the first flower is parallel to the ninth flower, and fold the excess ropes at the end through the key ring. (Fig. 18-19)
- Take 1x 45cm length of white macrame rope to make a “U” shape. (Fig. 20)
- Pull the longer end of the rope around all the strands and the U-shaped loop. Just go ahead and continue to wrap the rope several times over the strands and the loop. Then, pull the end through the U-shaped loop. (Fig. 21-22)
- Grab both the ends of the rope, which is the one you just pulled through the loop as well as the one that’s sticking out on top, and tug at them.
- Snip the ends off and your gathering knot is all done. Now you have finiched ana macrama daisy wristhand. (Fia 93-241)
