American Pie Month 3 Alternate Cutting Instructions (Using Folded Corner Clipper, Tucker Trimmer & Wing Clipper Rulers)

General Notes

  • The 5¾” and 3¼” squares are for making Flying Geese the Deb Tucker method where applicable.
  • The 2¾” x 4¾” rectangles and 2¾” squares are for making flying geese with different colored wings as well as the parallelograms in the framing units.
  • The 2½” squares are used for corners and portions of the framing units.
  • The 2½” x 4½” rectangles (background) are used in portions of the framing units.
  • The 4½” red and navy check squares are for the block centers.

For the Framing Units:
From Background Fabric

  • Cut (4) 2¾” x WOF strips; Subcut, (12) 2¾” x 4¾” rectangles, (24) 2¾” squares, and (8) 2½” squares
  • Cut (1) 2½” x WOF strip; Subcut (8) 2½” x 4½” rectangles.

From Small Gray Check Fabric

  • Cut (2) 2¾” x WOF strips; Subcut (24) 2¾” squares.
  • Cut (1) 4¾” x WOF strip; Subcut (12) 2¾” x 4¾” rectangles.

From Small Red Dot Fabric

  • Cut (1) 2¾” x WOF strips; Subcut (12) 2¾” squares.
  • Cut (1) 2¾” x WOF strip; Subcut (6) 2¾” x 4¾” rectangles.

From Small Navy Dot Fabric

  • Cut (1) 2¾” x WOF strips; Subcut (12) 2¾” squares.
  • Cut (1) 2¾” x WOF strip; Subcut (6) 2¾” x 4¾” rectangles.
