Hair Dryer
WARNING: please check the electric voltage of mains (Volts or V) on the
appliance data label and in your Country, Kindly DO NOT USE 110-127 V dryers
in 220-240 V Countries and vice versa, even if you are using an adapter or
voltage transformer.
Elchim S.p.A. and/or the local distributor shall not be liable for any
incorrect use of the appliance regarding the electric voltage.
WARNING
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without
supervision.
- Do not use the appliance either near a wet or water filled bathtub or wash-basin or with wet hands and/or feet.
- When you use the appliance inside a bathroom, unplug it from the mains after use because the presence of water nearby can be dangerous even when the appliance is off.
- Falls can damage the appliance as well as compromise its safety and durability. Check the appliance before using it again. If necessary, have it checked by qualified staff.
- So as to guarantee additional safety you are recommended to install in the electrical circuit feeding the bathroom a differential current device, whose rated working differential current is not higher than 30 mA. Ask you qualified technicians for advice.
- The appliance must not be tampered with in any way. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order avoid a hazard.
- NEVER WIND UP THE CABLE AROUND THE APPLIANCE.
- We decline all responsibility for any damage to people, animals or things following improper use of the appliance.
- Burn hazard. Keep appliance out of reach from young children, particularly during use and cool down.
- When the appliance is connected to the power supply, never leave it unattended; Always place the appliance with the stand, if any, on a heat-resistant stable flat surface. In the event that the power supply voltage drops below 180V and consequent intervention of the protection, turn off the hair dryer using the ON/OFF switch, unplug it and plug it back in to restore the operation of the appliance.
- Before starting the maintenance, unplug the dryer and allow the appliance to cool down.
- Use a visible and easily accessible outlet.

- In the event that the power supply voltage drops below 180V and consequent intervention of the protection, turn off the hair dryer using the ON/OFF switch, unplug it and plug it back in to restore the operation of the appliance.

ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS
How it works
Moving the switch located on the left side of the handle from position O to I
and vice versa (with the appliance connected to the power supply) the
appliance is turned on and off. The buttons located at the top allow you to
change the air flow (button on the left) and temperature (button on the
right). With the device switched on, the LED lights indicate the setting
adopted:

Important: Always keep the air filter perfectly clean to avoid overheating and breakage of the appliance. The filter is essential for safety and good operation; it must always be inserted and cleaned at least weekly following the specific instructions. Prevent external bodies from being sucked into the appliance, including metal parts, hairspray and hair. No parts need to be lubricated. The motor is equipped with self-lubricating bushings /bearings for a long life.
Cleaning & maintenance
Importante: To maintain the validity of the warranty, the filter of your hairdryer must always be kept clean. It is recommended to clean the filter at least once a week. Cleaning must be done with the appliance switched off and disconnected from the power supply. To clean the sponge filter, unscrew the rear external filter, remove the sponge filter inside and wash it also using warm water. Make sure that dust, hair and any other dirt is completely removed from the sponge filter. Make sure that the sponge is completely dry before reinserting it in the filter holder and close it again by screwing the external filter in the opposite direction. It is recommended to replace the sponge filter every time it is damaged. Further- more, ensure the regular cleaning of the metal filter using a brush.
