To rinse, use a second cloth lightly damp with warm water. To dry, use a completely dry cloth in a blotting motion, then allow to air dry.

  • GENUINE LEATHER
SPECIAL NOTE: To help protect against possible staining, applying leather cleaner once a month is recommended. Always test cleaners and conditioners in a hidden place before use. All cleaners and conditioners will darken leather over time.

  • LINEN

If dirt or debris does not come off with a dry cloth, add a small amount of wood cleaner like Pledge or another high-grade furniture polish. Take care not to get cleaner on other surfaces, as it could cause discoloration.
SPECIAL NOTE: Do not allow acidic liquids or water to come in contact with our wood products. This may cause spotting, discoloration, cracking, and warping.

Caring For Your Covers

  • Inspect your covers daily for signs of wear and staining. Covers should be wiped down after every use and prior to return to storage area. Do not drop, toss, or throw covers. Do not soak or submerge covers. When cleaning, always use a clean cloth made of soft cotton or microfiber. Always test recommended cleaning solutions in a small, hidden area before cleaning the entire cover.
  • Do not use window cleaning fluids, scouring compounds, gritty cloths, or strong solvents such as alcohol, ammonia, acetone, bleach, peroxide, carbon tetrachloride, etc. Wipe down and spot clean soiled areas when found. Stains may become permanent quickly.
  • Do not allow food particles to remain on the covers. This may result in staining and damage, further accelerating wear. Do not allow ink to remain on covers as it will permanently stain.

Storing Your Covers
Covers should be stored together as sets. Store covers vertically to minimize pressure and friction between pieces. Stacking the covers is not recommended as covers stored on top of each other will wear more quickly. Do not expose covers to extreme weather conditions or direct sunlight as this may cause damage such as warping, cracking, or discoloration.

WOOD

  • Wood is an organic material. A portion of wood and wood panels will naturally warp and can range in noticeability from very slight to more obvious. Warping occurs with change of season, temperature, moisture & humidity levels. Do not allow acidic liquids or water to come in contact with our wood products. This may cause spotting, discoloration, cracking, and warping.

Take care not to get cleaner on other surfaces, as it could cause discoloration.
  • STORING To maximize the life of wood items and minimize warping, store as tightly as possible in a vertical position. Do not stack. Stacking wood items will cause wear, scratching, breaking, and warping.
  • SPECIAL NOTE If warping occurs, reversing the warp may be possible. This method is not guaranteed to restore the wood to its original state.Place wood warped side up, on a flat surface. Place a few heavy objects (such as books or reams of paper) on top of wood item. Allow to lay for 24 hours.

METAL

  • Each metal cover is made using soft metal material (brass, copper, or aluminum) and will mark or scratch over time. Proper storage and handling will help delay this aging and antiquing process.
  • Patinas are semi-permanent and can wear off over time. Water will not damage metal but may cause further patination. Do not allow metal items to come in contact with ink, permanent marker, alcohols, wines, tomato sauce, acidic fluids (i.e.: citrus fruits/juices), etc. These may act as bleaching agents. They will spot the metals and cannot be reversed. However, the covers will continue to function properly.
  • Use a soft, dry, microfiber cloth. Wipe covers in a circular motion from edge to edge. Do not spot clean. Never use caustic cleaners or polishers. If necessary, apply a dab of butcher’s wax and lightly buff covers. Mother’s California Gold Spray Car Wax can also be used, covering the entire cover and allowing to dry. No buffing needed. Take care not to get wax on other surfaces, as it could cause discoloration.
