Safety Instructions
Please read these instructions carefully before using the hammer drill.
- To prevent hearing damage, wear ear protection. Wear safety glasses.
- For long hair, use a hair protection device. Work only with snug-fitting clothing.
- The dust generated during work can be harmful to health, inflammable, or explosive. Appropriate protective measures are necessary.
- Examples: Some dusts are considered carcinogenic. Use suitable dust/chip extraction and wear a dust mask.
- Light metal dust can ignite or explode. Always keep the workplace clean, as material mixtures are particularly dangerous.
- Avoid the cutting area and saw blade: Keep your hands safely away from the cutting area and the saw blade. Always keep one hand on the auxiliary handle or the motor housing. Using both hands on the saw minimizes the risk of cutting injuries to the hands by the saw blade.
- Avoid reaching under the workpiece: The protective device does not provide protection from the saw blade under the workpiece. Never touch the saw blade under the material.
- Adjust cutting depth: Adjust the cutting depth according to the thickness of the workpiece. Less than a complete saw tooth of the saw blade should be visible under the workpiece.
- Safety in holding the workpiece: Do not hold the workpiece to be cut in your hands or above your leg. Securely fasten the workpiece on a stable surface to avoid injuries, tilting of the saw blade, or loss of control.
- Only touch the power tool on insulated gripping surfaces: Only work with insulated gripping surfaces in conditions where the cutting tool could hit hidden cables. Contact with a live cable could result in electric shock.
- Use a rip fence or guide rail for rip cuts: This improves the precision of the cut and reduces the risk of the saw blade jamming.
- Use the correct blade size and shape: Always use blades that match the correct size and shape of the mounting hole (diamond or circle). Saw blades that do not fit can run eccentrically and lead to loss of control.
- Do not use defective or different blade washers or screws: Only use washers and screws specifically designed for your saw to ensure safe and efficient operation. Defective or non-original parts can compromise safety.
- Gjemax can only guarantee the perfect functioning of the machine if the original accessories intended for this purpose are used.

Operation
- Charge the battery according to the general battery charging instructions. Make sure the battery is fully charged before using the circular saw.
- Insert the charged battery into the hand-held circular saw by pushing it into the opening provided until it audibly clicks into place.
- Make sure that the workpiece to be cut is stable and securely fixed to ensure safe work.
- Use the appropriate saw blade for the material you want to cut for best results.
- Place the circular saw so that the saw blade can freely reach the desired cutting area and adjust the cutting depth accordingly.
- Start the circular saw according to the manufacturer’s instructions and carry out the cut with calm and even movements.
- Wait for the blade to stop before setting down the saw and secure the work area to avoid accidents.
- Be careful to hold the tool securely and not to jam the impact mechanism.
- After use, switch off the circular saw and remove the battery.
Assembling and disassembling the saw blade
- Always switch off the tool and remove the battery before carrying out any work on the tool. Install the saw blade so that the teeth on the front of the tool are facing up.
- Only use wrenches designed for your tool to assemble or disassemble the saw blade. To disassemble the saw blade, press the spindle lock to prevent the saw blade from turning unintentionally and loosen the hexagon screw by turning the Allen key clockwise.
- Then remove the hex screw, outer flange and saw blade. To assemble the saw blade, follow the disassembly procedure in reverse order. TIGHTEN THE HEX BOLT COUNTERCLOCKWISE.
- When changing the saw blade, do not forget to remove the accumulated sawdust from the upper and lower blade guards as described in the Maintenance section. Please note that this does not replace checking the operation of the movable guard before each use.
