DANGER

WARNING

• This device has been tested for customization prior to delivery by KURINU E-PETS. The following specifications are warnings related to potential misuse of the device and not indicative of a factory defect. Please read all instructions and take them into account for the proper care of the device, as KURINU E-PETS is not liable for damages due to its misuse.

• Part of this product’s electrical components contains magnets. Keep away from pacemakers. (Internal rechargeable battery carries risk of heat/damage/fire upen malfunction. Follow the warnings below.

• Do not use high-voltage power to charge as it is dangerous and may cause unit short-circuit.

• Do not attempt to re-charge a fully-charged device to prevent danger of overcharging.

• Stop use immediately if unit gets wet to prevent short-circuit.

• Do NOT inmerse in water or fire, DISASSEMELE, or use soldering iron on unit.

• Do not use, charge, or store near fire or in locations with high temperatures or humidity.

• Comply with local ordinances when disposing unit.

• Monitor while charging to make sure there are no flammable items nearby.

• Before charging, check the unit and cable are functioning properly. Inmmedately stop use if any compeonents are damaged to prevent risk of accident.

• While charging, if the unit malfunctions by becoming hot, smelling strange, puffing up, or emitting smoke, remove cable and immediately discontinue use of product.

• Confirm charging status by accessing: status – settings – batery (more info on P.4). If the “charge in progress” scree is not displayed despite cable attachment, or if charging has not completed within 2 hours, remove charging cable and inmediately discontinue use.

• When unit has completed charging, remove cable inmmediately. DO NOT LEAVE PLUGGED IN.

• This English translation is unauthorized and fan-made.

• Dispose nf plastuc packaglng after opening.

• Do not place this product on vinyl sofas, sheets, or tiles. Praduct may stain after long periods of contact

• Do not pull or bend moving/connacting parts in directions they do not naturally go.

• This product is made of delicate electronic parts. Do not drop, get wet or dirty, or disassemble. Avoid storage in excessively hot/cold locations.

• If error occurs, turn unit off then on again,

• Only use the cable provided to charge this product. Do not use third-party charging cables,

• When removing charging cable, hold the connector and do not pull with excessive force to prevent damage and malfunction. Do not use in temperatures under 5 degrees Celsius (41 degrees Fahrenheit), The internal battery will not cperate properly, which may lead to operational errors,

Unit Diagram

Attaching Cover to Unit

Slide the Cover over the Tamagotchi Smart Unit, then align and connect the 2 top and 1 bottom protrusions/indentations to secure.

※ Translator’s Note: Te attach to wrist, pull end with peg upward through loop, then gently push peg through hole on band until secure. To remove, pull end with peg gently upward until hold releases.
According to packaging band will fit wrists 125~18.5 cm (4.9~7.2 in} in diameter.

Basic Operation

Selection

The Tamagotchi Unit’s Screen is split into 4 Touch Sensor Areas,

As shown above, Touch
A to select the upper left choice,
B to select the upper right choice,
C to select the lower left choice, and
D to select the lower right choice.

Touch the AB area to select the top, and the CD area to select the bottom.

To rnlake a selection, use finger to press screen (~1 second) until you hear a sound effect.

Scrolling

When a triangle mark appears on the Screen, move your finger in the direction shown by the red arrows to Scroll.

Cancel/ Back

Press the Home Button to return to the previous screen.

Charging the unit

1. Charge Unit when the low battery screen appears.
   Only charge when Unit is removed from wrist.
   Plugging the Charging Cabkle into the Unit while the low battery screen is displayed will not trigger the Charging Screen.
   To confirm charging status, select: Status
   – Settings – Settings – Battery Check

2.  Use fingertip to remove Cover of Charging Port on side of Unit, then insert micro-USB side of cable into Port

3. Plug opposite end into computer’s USE port.
   ※ Charging requires computer or approved USB AC Adapter.
   See APPROVED USBE ADAPTERS section for details (P.19)

4.  Remove Charging Cable as soon as charge is complete.
   ※  If the “Charging” screen doesn’t appear, or if 2 hours have passed and the “Charge Complete!” screen does not appear, remove Charging Cable and discontinue use.

Powering On

MUST READ

1. Press Home Button for at least 5 seconds.

2. When you start the device, a selection screen will appear. Choose ‘Continue’ to begin playing.
   NEVER choose the ‘reset all’ option, as it will erase all content on the device, INCLUDING KURINU E-PETS CUSTOMIZATION.
   ※ Kurinu e-pets cannot be held responsible for any loss of customization data resulting from a device reset.

Troubleshdating… If Unit. doesn’t tum on, press the Reset Button then try pressing the Home Button again for 5 seconds.
If it still doesn’t turn on, the battery charge may be low.
Charge for around 2 hours before use.
※ Only use the included Charging Cable to change.
※ Remove the device from wrist : befare charging.
※ Charge status cannot be checked pefore completing Initial Sept up.

Turn Off

※ Do not turn off for extended periods to maintain battery health and avoid damaging the device. Please follow the instructions to the letter to turn off the device properly. This may be challenging on the first attempt.
First, hald down the rear reset button. Without releasing the rear button, press the front home button. Mow release the rear reset button and continue heolding down the front home button until the Tamagotchi displays the ENG screen after the start-up screen.  Let the screen turn off by itself once the ENG screen has appeared, and it will be turned off.

Ssreen Display

From the Standard Idle Screen, you can view Care Icons or head out to the Yard.

The Tamagotchi Smart is a special edition that has only been released in Japan and therefore does not have official translations or adaptations to other languages.
Kurinu e-pet offers a translation into English that is still under development. The core gameplay content, with the exception of certain specific interactions, is fully translated. However, the additional content introduced by Kurinu e-pets, marked by this icon:  ,may contain missing tranlations. These are typically found in titles and do not hinder the gameplay experience.
※ This lack of translation is not considered a product error or failure at this time, so we ask for your understanding when placing your order. We are working to continue improving the product and we appreciate the trust and commitment of our commissioners.

Among the interactions with your e-pet, you’ll find that the chat option has not yet been translated.

Kurinu E-pet content includes:
4 Meals, 4 Snacks, 4 Accesories, 4 Rooms, 4 items, 3 clock faces and 1 Mini- game.
※ This lack of translation only affects the titles.

FURSONA’S LIFE
Growth
The stages preceding your fursona will vary in appearance and other qualities as they grow. The care you provide will influence their eveolution patterns, so you can try different caretaking methods.
MUST READ

• You will obtain your fursona in the final stage of your e-pet. To evolve it correctly, you must feed they their favorite food during the penultimate stage, which is the food chosen by the user beforehand from the Kurinu customization options.
• Keep in mind that if you don’t feed your e-pet correctly, you won’t be able to access the evolution of your fursona. If this occurs and you wish to obtain your fursona, once the final stage is reached, you must generate a new generation by pairing your e-pet, and through a new attempt to evolve your new e-pet to fursona.
• If you have more than one fursona customized by Kurinu e-pet, each will have its corresponding favorite food assigned for its evolution, rotated among fursonas following this same method of e-pet generations.
• You can use the durations of each stage, indicated at the top, as a reference.
• You can also explore the different base evolutions of the game by avoiding the use of your fursona’s favorite foods in the young stage and see what the final evolution will be! Fun never ends 😀

Care Methods

Bond with your e-pet

Get friendly with your e-pet! As they grows fonder, they might even give you gifts!
Increase “Fondness” by giving them pets, talking with them, feeding them snacks and playing with items!
Enjoy spending time in their living areas and going out (pg.14)

The room where your e-pet lives. Pay attention, as the interior decorations change according to the seasons!

Outside the room is a terrace-style yard. The apperance changes based on time and weather! Other e-pets might visit to give your gifts…1?
※ Baby Stage cannot visit the yards

Special events only happen on certain days! Enjoy passing of the seasons!

Press the Home Button while on the Standard Idle Screen to open the Care Icon Screen!

Status.Setting

Check your e-pet’s stats and change Unit settings!

Status

See how your e-pet is doing. Frequent checks help inform caretaking!

FONDNESS: Indicates how deep your e-pet bond is with you. (The farther right the heart is, more fond they are of you; the farther left, the less familiar they are with you)
HUNGER METER: Shows hunger level.
GOTCHI POINTS: E-pet planet’’s currency (Max. 99,999GP)

First, touch the option you want to check.

MY TAMAS

Revisitthe records of e-pets/fursonas you have raised up until now! My tama memories record the previous 5 generations (excluding current e-pet). Earlier generations are erased and written over.

Settings

Assistance

When your e-pet/fursona gets sick, heal them quickly!

If your e-pet/fursona looks like this, furry with “Assistance”!
Sickness

Are they dying?!

If you leave your e-pet/fursona sick for too long, or do not take frequent care of them, Grim may appear.
If you see the the Grim hanging around, hurry and open the *Assistance” menu to summon an ambulance!
Oops, they died…

If your e-pet/fursana dies, you will see the “death screen” Touch the screen to see the profile of the e-pet/fursona who died.
To raise a new e-pet/tamagotchi, hold down the home button until a new egg appears, then tap the egg to hatch a new e-pet.
※ Items and such will transfer to the new e-pet.

Abandonment

E-pet is running away?!

If you leave your e-pet/fursona with too low a “fondness” level, they may atternpt to run away.
When you notice them packing their bags, hurry and stop them with the “assistance”icon.
Oh, they ran away…

If your e-pet/fursona runs away from home, you will see the “letter screen” Touch the screen to see the profile of the e-pet/fursona who ran away.
To raise a new e-pet/tamagotchi, hold down the home button until a new egg appears, then tap the egg to hatch a new e-pet.
※ Items and such will transfer to the new e-pet.

Sitter

Task them with HouseSitting when you can’t care for them yourself!

• E-pet/fursona can be asked to” Sitter” between 7AM and 6PM
• To end “sitter” touch the screen and pick YES.
• E-pet/fursona cannot*Sitter” if hunger meter is at 0 or medicine is required due to illness.
• E-pet/fursona cannot*Sitter” during baby stage.

Make sure to come home before it gets dark!
If you are not home by nightfall, your e-pet/fursonas will be offended and “Fondness” will decrease.

SmaSpitchi

Get lots of advice!

SmaSpitchi will teach you all sorts of things. They may inform you of seasonal events and special sales!

Meal.Snack

When they’re hungry or their “Fondness” is down, feed them a meal!

• When you feed them a meal the hunger meter fills. If you give them a snack their “Fondness” will increase!
• Each e-pet/fursona has their own likes and dislikes, so try feeding them lots of different things!
• The favorite food customized by Kurinu e-pets is only used to evolve your fursona; it’s not literally their favorite food.
• Items that display a number represents quantity owned. This number will decrease by 1 every time it is eaten.
• Items without a number displayed will never run out!

The additional customized content added by Kurinu e-pets will have this icon!
Check p.16 for more about it.

Toilet.Bath

Take your e-pet/fursona here when they look like they are going to poop or when their body gets dirty.

First, Touch where you’d like them to go

Toilet

For before (or after) your e-pet/fursona poops!

When your e-pet/fursona fidgets like they have to poop, send them to the toilet!
If they poop in their room, selecting the “Toilet Shower” icon will clean it up
Bath
For when things get messy!
Give your e-pet/fursona a shower!
If you do not wash them for several days, they get grubby.
They can not go out if they are not clean and will be scolded by SmaSpitchi, so be diligent!

Possessions

All the items you have obtained are stored here!

Items

Use the Items you have!

• Using an Item repeatedly will cause it to eventually break.
• Items with a number displayed will reduce in guantity by 1 upon breaking,
• Items without a number displayed will never break!
  ※ Cleaning Robot, Picture Book, and Ball will never break.

Cleaning Robot

Using the cleaning robot will freshen up your room!
If you do not clean every few days, it will get gross!

Accessories
Dress up your e-pet with accessories!

To remove current accessory in use, Touch Remove.

• Using an Item repeatedly will cause it to eventually break.
• Accessories with a number displayed will reduce in quantity by 1 upon breaking.
• Accessories without a number displayed will never break!
• Accessories can be worn from Kid Stage onward.

Treasure

Find Special Items here!

※ You can own up to 4 types of Treasures .
Once you obtain a 5thyou will have to select and dispose of one you already have.
※ Treasures don’t break!

You can go play in the park! If you get part-time job you can earn Gotchi Points!

First Touch what you would like to Connect with.

Play with other Tamagotchi Smarts, or Download from TamaSma Cards!

Some options you will find in the ‘Connect’ section are currently under development for improvement by Kurinu e-pets.
They are functional and are part of the base game, but may have operational errors with Kurinu e-pets’ additional content. Please read the following points carefully to understand the functionality and avoid device malfunctions.

Tamagotchi Smart

This option is functional, but it may have visual glitches with other users of Kurinu e-pets custom. The FURSONA (Friend Stage) that visits you might appear as a regular base e-pet. This is not considered a fault by Kurinu e-pets, as it is still under development for proper functionality.

Make sure the Tamagotchis’ Transmitters are at a parallel height, separated by the distance shown in lefthand diagram.
※ Connection will not work around loud sounds
※ Connection cannot connect with Tamagotchi Units other than the “Tamagotchi Smart’

Friends List

Keep a record of the Friends you Connect with!

Up to 6 Friends can be registered.
When you Connect with a 7th Fru&:ndf a screen will appear and instruct you to Part Ways to 1 Friend of your choosing, Touch the name of the Friend to remove from the list, then Touch Yes to confirm,

TamaSma Card

The additional content by Kurinu e-pets has been programmed as a Tasma card. PLEASE DO NOT DELETE OR REPLACE IT WITH ANOTHER, as Kurinu e-pets content will be erased and cannot be recovered. Kurinu e-pets is not responsible for player misuse if the custom content is deleted. If this occurs and you wish to recover the content, you must contact Kurinu e-pets to send the device for repair at an additional cost.

3 Clock Designs

Troubleshooting

• The LCD screen is hard to see!
  →Adjust the Screen brightness. (=P.9)

• It’s not making any sounds!
  → 0pen “Sound Settings” and select “On”. (=P.9)

• It’s not responding to Touches and Slides!
  →To Touch, you must hold your finger in place for at least 1second.
  To Slide, lightly move your finger along the 4 Touch Panel Areas according to the action you wish to perform. (→P.3)

• The screen turns completely black (or white), or the sound stops working and the Home Button won’t respond when pressed!
  → Battery power may be low. (Battery may run out without displaying “Low Batt Screen”.) See [Charging the Unit] and charge. (→ P.9)

• Tamagotchi won’’t wake up/go to sleep!
  → Tamagotchi will wake up and sleep on their own at pre-determined times. Confirm the clock settings to make sure the time is set correctly. (→P.5)
  If AM/PM are set incorrectly, Tamagotchi will experience day and night at opposite times, affecting their daily routine,

When to press the Reset Button

MUST READ

• If a strong impact (or similar action) cause all functions to stop working or when the screen looks weird could be necesary to reset the device.

When the reset button i pressed, a Continue/Reset all Data selection screen will appear.

• Select Continue to continue raising the current e-pet/fursona. Once the screen display has returned to normal, update the clock to the current time and date using the method described in “Clock Settings)”
• Select Reset All to raise a new e-pet. KURINU E-PET CONTENT WILL BE DELETED. Then when you set the clock and register your birthday and name, a new egg will appear and a short time later a new e-pet will hatch.
  ※ WARNING: Kurinu e-pets is not responsible in case you delete the additional content. Your fursona WILL NOT REAPPEAR. If this occurs and you wish to recover the content, you must contact Kurinu e-pets to send the device for repair at an additional cost.
  ※ Warning: then you select Reset All, all momories and Items will be erased and the unit returned to factory settings.
  ※ If battery dies and screens turns off while displaying the Continue/Reset All Selection Screen, unit will automatically Continue from existing data.

Charging Without a Computer: Approved USB Charging Adapters (Information Current as of August 2021)

BANDAI has confirmed the USB Charging Adapters below to be compatible with the Tamagotchi Smart.
※ Translator’s Note: Japan’s AC power runs at 100V, Please canfirm vour country’s electrical voltage and make sure Adapter contains a step-down switching regulater sa vou don’t frv yvour Tamal

※ 0nly use the cable packaged with the Tamagotchi Smart to charge the Unit.
※ To confirm market availability of the adapters shown, please either consult each manufacturer’’s homepage or inquire at your local shop.
※ BANDAI has confirmed the compatibility of the products above, but is not liable for incompatibility or other issues that may arise from their use.
