How to use
Your light and sound sleep aid has 4 limbs that you use to control lullabies, sounds, volume and light.
About the CrySensor
The CrySensor allows your light and sound sleep aid to listen out for noise
and respond by playing the sound or lullaby you last chose to help settle your
child back to sleep. Your light and sound sleep aid can hear all the noises in
a room but is programmed to respond to crying or sharp sounds that may disturb
your little one’s sleep. If there’s a rapid movement in the room, the noise
may be enough to activate it.
Place your light and sound sleep aid near your child, but never in the cot or
other sleeping space with them.
How to turn the CrySensor on and off
Select how you want to use the CrySensor using the function switch on the
battery pack.
If your child is having a difficult night, it may continuously play the soothing sound from one 20-minute playtime to the next until your little one is settled.
FAQs
Q: What age can the light and sound sleep aid be used from?
They are suitable from birth to soothe a newborn and can be used with your
child as they grow. Having buttons in arms and feet make it perfect for a
toddler to work themselves.
Q: How do I check that the CrySensor is working?
To check the CrySensor, make sure you have the function switch in the correct
position then clap next to it to hear your chosen sound or lullaby.
Q: Where should I put the light and sound sleep aid?
You should place it near your baby so it can listen in CrySensor mode and so
your baby can hear and see them. Use the loop to attach it to your baby’s cot
out of reach of your baby or stand it on nearby furniture. If you use the loop
to attach to the cot, make sure it is hanging outside the cot so that if it
falls, it will fall outside the cot.
Never place a toy or other object on the mattress inside a sleeping baby’s
cot.
Q: What sounds can my light and sound sleep aid hear?
The CrySensor works best when it is less than 1 metre from your child. When
noise levels within 1 metre reach 50dBA, it will play your chosen sound.
Q: How do I care for my light and sound sleep aid?
Because of the electrical components inside, this product is surface wash
only. Please do not put it in a washing machine or tumble dryer. Just wipe it
over with a damp cloth. Do not use any chemicals as they may affect fabrics or
transfer to your child’s environment.
Q: What if my light and sound sleep aid does not play sound or light up?
First check the switch on the battery pack to make sure it is turned on. If it
still doesn’t work, check it is fully charged by plugging into the charging
cable (Note: Your light and sound aid will not work while the battery is
charging). The indicator light on the battery pack will glow red for charging
and blue for fully charged. If you’re still having problems, please contact us
(tommeetippee.com).
Safe sleep Advice
Place you baby on their back to sleep, in a cot in the same room as you, for
the first 6 months. Never sleep with your baby on a sofa or armchair.
Make sure your baby is warm, but not too hot. The safest room temperature for
your baby is between 16°C and 20°C (62 to 68°F). Use a room thermometer and
touch your baby regularly to check.
Alter the room temperature or add or remove layers of bedding and clothing as
required. Pay special attention to the room temperature if your baby is
unwell.
To help keep your baby at a safe and comfortable temperature when sleeping,
you should only use bedding such as a baby sleep bag. Don’t allow your babies
head to be covered.
Do not use sheets, blankets, quilts, duvets, pillows or other covers until
they’re 12 months old.
These can cause your baby to overheat.
Always keep your baby in a well-ventilated and smoke free environment.
