Safety Instructions
General information
These instructions are an integral part of the appliance.
- Read them carefully before setting up, installing and using the appliance and keep them for future reference.
- Pass them on to any subsequent owner or user of the product.
The appliance must only be used by those familiar with the instructions below.

Intended Use
The appliance is intended exclusively for preparing and heating food. The
appliance can only be used indoors. The appliance must only be used with the
original accessories.
The appliance may only be used as described in these instructions. Any other
use is improper and constitutes a hazard.
The appliance is intended for household use and similar applications, e.g.: by
employees in stores, offices and similar workspaces in farms by customers in
hotels, motels and other typical residential environments in bed and
breakfasts
Misuse
- The appliance is not intended for industrial or commercial use.
- Never connect the appliance to an external timer or a separate remote control system.
- The appliance must not be used outdoors.
- Do not use the appliance in vehicles or in moving environments.
- Do not place any objects on the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance for heating or drying purposes.
Requirements for installation and operation

Remove all packaging materials and advertising stickers.

Allow a free space of at least 20 cm around the appliance during installation.

Ensure adequate air circulation around the appliance, that there are no objects on it and that its vents are unobstructed.

The appliance must not be installed in a cabinet or directly under a panel or cabinet.

Do not remove the appliance’s feet.

The appliance must not be operated near or below curtains, wall cabinets or other combustible materials.

Keep the appliance at a safe distance from flammable objects.

Place the appliance on a heat- and splash-resistant surface.
Never place the appliance on hot surfaces (e.g. hobs) or near open gas flames. -
Ensure that the worktop is level, clean and dry.

Make sure that the power cord does not touch any hot parts of the appliance. Do not leave the power cord hanging down.

Before the appliance is used, check the appliance and its accessories for completeness and defects that could impair its functional safety. Do not operate the appliance if it shows signs of damage (e.g. has been dropped).

Do not use extension cords.

Only use the appliance under supervision.
Requirements for operation
- Do not touch exposed heating elements.
- Do not reach into the appliance during operation.
- Only touch the appliance after it has cooled down.
- Ensure the crumb tray is in place under the heating elements each time the appliance is used.
- Make sure there is enough space between the food and the heating elements.
- Do not overfill the baking tray to prevent fat from dripping onto the heating elements below.
- Do not spray any aerosols or flavourings into the appliance during operation.
- Clean appliance parts after each use, as described in the quick start guide and instruction manual.
Requirements for the target group
- The appliance can be used by children from the age of 8 and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the device and have understood the resulting dangers.
- Children must not play with this appliance.
- Children must not be permitted to carry out any cleaning or maintenance work on the appliance unless they are supervised and at least 8 years of age.
- The appliance and its power cord must be kept well away from children under 8 at all times.
Residual Risks
Risk of injury due to suffocation
Packaging material can cause suffocation.
- Keep packaging material away from children.
Fire hazard
Avoid using the appliance near flammable objects to prevent the risk of fire.
- Do not use the appliance near flammable materials.
Risk of burns from hot elements
The housing surfaces, heating element, rack and other accessories become hot when the appliance is in use.
- Never touch or move the appliance while in operation.
- Let the appliance cool down before moving it or stowing it away.
- Only hold the appliance by its handles. Only touch the accessories with oven mitts.
Risk of burns from hot steam
Beware of hot vapour escaping through the vents during operation, which can cause burns.
- Stay at a safe distance from the appliance when in operation.
Risk of injury due to electric shock
As the appliance is powered by electricity, there is a risk of electric shock.
- Do not allow the power cord to touch any hot parts of the appliance.
- Never touch the mains plug with wet hands.
- Check the power cord before use. Never use the appliance when its power cord is damaged. Have a damaged power cord replaced immediately.
- This appliance must only be connected to a correctly installed power socket with an earth connection.
- Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the appliance’s rating label.
- Pull on the plug and not on the cable to unplug the appliance.
- Pull out the power plug:
- after use
- in case of any malfunction
- during cleaning
Danger due to improper cleaning
- Clean the appliance after each use.
- Before cleaning, pull out the mains plug and allow the appliance to cool down.
- Do not clean the outside of the appliance and its power cord with liquids, and do not immerse them in liquids.
- Avoid using any metal or other sharp or pointed objects that could damage the outer surface of the appliance or its accessories.
- Never use metal scouring pads for cleaning.
- Clean the appliance parts properly, as described in the quick start guide and instruction manual.
Danger due to inadequate maintenance
To avoid hazards and to comply with safety requirements, repairs to this appliance and its power cord must be carried out by our customer service.
- In repairs are needed, please contact our customer service by telephone or email (see warranty declaration).
Risk of injury due to damage to the appliance
The appliance, if damaged, can no longer be used safely.
- Avoid using the appliance if it has been dropped, malfunctions, has a damaged power cord or plug or shows other signs of damage.
- Pull out the mains plug immediately if malfunctions, damage or anomalies (e.g. smell of burning) occur.
- Any repairs to the appliance or its power cord must only be carried out by our customer service.
- Never leave the appliance outdoors or in open areas where it may be exposed to weather conditions.
