General Safety Warnings

WARNING
Read all safety warnings and all instruction. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious personal injury.

Work area safety

  • Do not operate the product in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Power tools create sparks that may ignite the dust or fumes
  • Do not allow bystanders or children in the area while operating this product. Exposure to some chemicals can be hazardous.
  • The spray area must be well ventilated.
  • This product is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Personal safety

  • Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use common sense when operating this product. Do not use while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. A moment of inattention while operating this product may result in serious personal injury.
  • Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Contain long hair. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry, or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
  • Use personal protective equipment. Wear eye protection with side shields or goggles, protective masks, and safety gloves. Protect eyes, skin, and lungs against drifting spray and during mixing, filling, and cleaning.
  • Do not use the product if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any product that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
  • Store the product out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the product or these instructions to operate the product.
  • Avoid accidental starting. Ensure the switch is in the off position before inserting the battery pack. Inserting the battery pack into products that have the switch on invites accidents.

Battery safety and care

  • Only charge the batteries with the charger which accompanied your product or direct replacement as listed in this manual. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
  • Use the sprayer only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
  • When battery packs are not in use, keep them away from metal objects. For example, to protect terminals from shorting, Do NOT place batteries in a box or pocket with nails, paper clips, coins, keys, screws, or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
  • Under extreme usage or temperature conditions, battery leakage may occur. If liquid comes in contact with your skin, wash immediately with soap and water. If liquid gets into your eyes, flush them with clean water for at least 10 minutes, then seek immediate medical attention. Following this rule will reduce the risk of serious personal injury.
  • Do not open the battery packs. The danger of short-circuiting.
  • Saintge Portable Power Sprayer -- Fig-15 Protect the battery against heat, e. g., continuous intense sunlight, fire, and water. The danger of explosion.
  • The battery can be damaged by pointed objects such as nails or screwdrivers or by force applied externally. An internal short circuit can occur and the battery can burn, smoke, explode or overheat.

Specific Safety Rules

  • WARNING: Risk of fire or explosion. Do not spray flammable liquids such as gasoline.
  • Electric shock hazard. Never spray toward electrical.
  • Avoid spraying on windy days. Spray can be accidentally blown onto plants or objects that should not be sprayed.
  • Know the contents of the chemical being sprayed. Read all Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and container labels provided with the chemical. Follow the chemical manufacturer’s safety instructions.
  • Risk of injection. Do not discharge directly against the skin.
  • To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not put the sprayer into water or other liquid. Do not place or store the sprayer where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
  • Remove the battery from the gun before cleaning, storing, changing nozzles, or disconnecting the spray pipe. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of accidental starting.
  • Maintain this product. Thoroughly inspect the sprayer and examine the components before each use. Check for cracked and deteriorated hoses, leaks, clogged nozzles, and missing or damaged parts. If damaged, have the product repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained products.
  • Battery tools do not have to be plugged into an electrical outlet; therefore, they are always in operating condition. Be aware of possible hazards when not using your battery tool or when changing accessories. Remove battery pack when tool is not in use. Following this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, or serious personal injury.
  • Do not place battery tools or their batteries near fire or heat. This will reduce the risk of explosion and possibly injury.
  • Do not crush, drop or damage the battery pack. Do not use a battery pack or charger that has been dropped or received a sharp blow. A damaged battery is subject to explosion. Properly dispose of a dropped or damaged battery immediately.
  • Do not charge the battery pack in a damp or wet location. Following this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock.
  • For best results, your batteries should be charged in a location where the temperature is more than 32℉but less than 113℉. To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, do not store outside or in vehicles.
  • Do not use battery-operated appliances in rain.
  • Exercise care in handling batteries in order not to short the battery with conducting materials such as rings, bracelets, and keys. The battery or conductor may overheat and cause burns.
  • Do not dispose of the batteries in a fire. The cell may explode. Check with local codes for possible special disposal instructions.
  • Do not open or mutilate the batteries. Released electrolyte is corrosive and may cause damage to the eyes or skin. It may be toxic if swallowed.
  • Store idle appliances indoors. When not in use, appliances should be stored indoors in dry, and high or locked-up places – out of reach of children.

Product Description

For the perfect union of convenience and versatility, nothing beats the new PPS Pro chemical spraying system.

Our sprayer allows pulverization of any liquid products or low-pressure cleaning simply by immersing the hose along with its suction strainer into any containers. You can also adopt a soda bottle in order to use small quantities of product or homemade preparations.

Our sprayer is compatible with every chemical liquid. The sprayer features a special diaphragm pump. The joints of the sprayer are made of the industrial- grade VITON and every part in contact with the sprayer is made of brass, stainless steel, and plastics used in the chemical industry.

The best feature, the flow rate can be adjusted and steady controlled, providing continuous spraying and facilitating the application of chemicals. The sprayer is ideal for anyone who’s tired of having to constantly pump while spraying large areas. Its interchangeable and different nozzles are supplied to make it the perfect tool for a variety of spraying applications. With the adjustable nozzle (concentrated pattern), you can spray up to 12 meters in height, reaching the top of trees and roofs easily without climbing.

Chemical Supply Options

  • Option 1 – Using the Long Extension Hose
    See Figures 2.
    Insert the end of the long extension hose through the hose compression fitting onto the inlet of multi-directional swivel. Next, screw the hose compression fitting with the bottle cap. Make sure the connection is secure. And then, place the other end of the hose with a suction strainer into your container.

  • Option 2 – Using a Plastic Soda Bottle
    See Figures 3.
    To use the sprayer with a soda bottle, just insert the short hose into the inlet of multi-directional swivel, then put the short hose into the bottle and screw the bottle into the bottle cap. Do not use bottles over 2 liters and be careful not to overtighten the bottle.

Sprayer Configurations

  • Option 1 – Using the adjustable nozzles directly to the outlet of the gun.
    See Figures 4.
    1. Install the brass adapter directly on the outlet of the gun and tighten securely.
    2. Attach the adjustable nozzles to the brass adapter and are ready to use.
    3. Use only the straight nozzle tip (dispart the straight adjustable nozzle) to get a more concentrated spray pattern.

  • Option 2 – Using the QC kits directly to the outlet of the gun.
    See Figures 5.
    1. Install the brass adapter directly on the outlet of the gun and tighten securely.
    2. Attach the QC socket to the brass adapter.
    3. Slide back the metal sheath around the QC socket and insert one of the QC nozzles. Then slide back the metal sheath forward again until it clicks back in the proper place.

  • Option 3 – Using the short wand.
    See Figures 6.

1. Select the appropriate nozzle and attach it to the end of the short stainless steel wand.
2. Attach the other end of the short stainless steel wand to the gun outlet and pre-tighten.
3. Adjust the wand to make sure the nozzle is aligned with the gun (pointing down) and tighten securely. (It is applicable for the elbow nozzles)

  • Option 4 – Using the stainless steel telescopic lance.
    See Figures 7 and 8.
    1. Select the appropriate nozzle and attach it to the end of the telescopic lance.
    2. Attach the other end of the telescopic lance to the gun outlet and tighten securely.
    3. Lose the lance locknut and pull out or push in to adjust the extension length of the telescopic lance per your working distance and height, then, tighten the lance locknut securely.
    4. Rotate the nozzle until it is aligned with the gun (pointing down) and ready for use. (It is applicable for the elbow nozzles).
    5. Pull on the spray lance to be certain it is properly secured.

Operating PPS Pro
WARNING: Use safety equipment. Protect your eyes, skin, and lungs while mixing, filling, spraying, and cleaning. Failure to do so may result in serious personal injury and damage to property.
WARNING: Always remove the battery pack from your gun when you are assembling parts, making adjustments, cleaning, or when not in use. Removing the battery pack will prevent accidental starting that could cause serious personal injury.
WARNING: Make sure the Flow Rate Control Knob is directed to the “OFFON” position before inserting the battery pack.
WARNING: If used for applying sealers, deck stains, and other coating products, always rinse the gun using a Sodium Hydroxide-based deck stain stripping product.
WARNING: After every use, immediately rinse out the sprayer by spraying clean water for 2 minutes through the pump to flush any residual chemicals to prevent corrosion or clogs, and make sure no any liquid left in the pump and the tubing, then remove the battery.

Attaching the shoulder strap
See Figure 11.

  • Reference Figure 3 to attach the shoulder strap if needed.

Installing/removing battery pack
See Figure 12.

  • To insert battery, align battery and gently slide battery pack into the device until it locks into position. Do not force.
  • To remove battery pack from the device, press and hold the release button and gently pull backward.

Adjusting the flow rate
See Figures 10.
The flow rate can be adjustable from the minimum to maximum by rotating the Flow Rate Control Knob from the initial “OFF-ON” position to the limiting “Max” position.

  • Rotate clockwise the flow rate control knob to get the device ready to run when you hear a “click”, and steadily increase the flow rate when continuously rotating clockwise the flow rate control knob.
  • Rotate counterclockwise the flow rate control knob to steadily decrease the flow rate and turn off the sprayer when rotating back to the “OFF-ON” position.

Adjusting the spraying patterns
See Figure 9.
The adjustable nozzles can be switched among different spraying patterns.

  • Loosen the nozzle tip for a stream pattern.
  • Tighten the nozzle tip for a mist pattern.

Spraying chemicals
See Figures 13-14.

  • According to the section of “Sprayer Configurations”, choose the appropriate nozzle and lance per your spraying work and attach it to the spray gun.
  •  According to the section of “Chemical Supply Options”, attach the long extension hose and put it into a container with liquid. Or attach a soda bottle in order to use small quantities of product.
  • Insert the battery pack into the tool.
  • Aim the sprayer nozzle directly at the plants or objects you wish to spray.
  • Rotate the flow rate knob to get the device ready to run when you hear a “click”.
  • Pull the soft button to start the device and adjust the flow rate per your spray work.
  • Release the soft button to stop the device and rotate the flow rate back to the “OFF-ON” position to turn off the device. Make sure to stand far enough from the object being sprayed to prevent the spray from splashing back onto you.

Operating tips

  • Avoid spraying on windy days. Spray can be accidentally blown onto plants or objects that should not be sprayed.
  • Never spray in the direction of people or animals; always spray downwind.
  • Especially in warmer weather, spray in the early morning or late afternoon. Excessive heat can evaporate the spray before it settles.
  • Never smoke, eat, or drink while operating the sprayer.
  • Clean the strainers regularly.
  • When working at heights, make sure you start the sprayer on ground level first to prime the pump.

Charging the Battery Pack

  • Plug charger cord into your standard power outlet, then insert the other end of charger DC connector into the battery connection port (Fig.15)
  • The charger’s indicator light will become a steady red light. This indicates that the battery is receiving a fast charge. When the charge’s indicator light becomes a steady green light, it indicates that the battery is full charged.
  • When the batter pack is full charged, unplug the charger and pull out the charger DC connector from the battery connection port.

Important note:

  • The Lithium-ion battery is supplied partially charged. To ensure full battery capacity, completely charge the battery before using it for the first time.
  • The Lithium-ion battery is protected against deep discharging Protection. When the battery is empty the device is switched off by means of a protective circuit.

Warranty

The manufacturer guarantees problem-free quality and will cover the cost of replacing parts that are found to be faulty in material or show manufacturing defects within the prescribed guarantee period after the date of purchase. Please note that specific guarantee conditions may differ from country to country. When in doubt, please ask the vendor of the goods. The vendor of the product is responsible for guarantee applications. We hope you will understand that we cannot be liable for damage resulting from these causes:

  • Non-compliance with operating instructions.
  • Wear from normal use.
  • Use of force, improper treatment, misuse, and accidents resulting in cracked, broken, or damaged components.
  • Attempted adjustments and repairs by non-qualified persons.
  • Use of unsuitable spare parts or non-original parts if such parts are the cause of the damage. The Manufacturer Warranty will be voided if the following procedures are not followed.
  • Always use the STRAINERS/FILTER provided to prevent debris from clogging the pump.
  • If used for applying sealers, deck stains, and other coating products, always rinse the gun using a Sodium Hydroxide-based deck stain stripping product.
  • After every use, immediately rinse out the sprayer by spraying clean water for 2 minutes through the pump to flush any residual chemicals to prevent corrosion or clogs, and then remove the battery.
  • Cleaning the STRAINERS/FILTER regularly.

Working Advice

  • A substantial drop in operating time per charge may mean that the battery pack is nearing the end of its life and should be replaced.

Disposal
The device, chargers, rechargeable batteries, accessories, and packaging should be sorted for environmental-friendly recycling.
Do not dispose of power s and batteries/rechargeable batteries into household waste!
Only for EC countries:
According to the European Guideline 2012/19/EU, powers that are no longer usable, and according to the European Guideline 2006/66/EC, defective or used battery packs/batteries must be collected separately and disposed of in an environmentally correct manner.
