HOW TO WEAR AND USE

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

INSTALLATION

• Install the supplied Foam Cover by sliding it carefully over the Microphone Capsule.
  NOTE: To avoid damaging the Foam Cover and reducing recording quality, Do NOT pull the Foam Cover too tightly over the Microphone Capsule. Leave a small space to allow for air movement.

• Install the supplied button battery as shown below.

• Use the Tie Clip to attach the microphone to a shirt or other garment. For best results, the microphone should be 15-25 cm away from the mouth.
  Make sure the microphone is not rubbing on your face or clothing which may cause interference.

• Plug the 3.5 mm Connector into your recording device. Use the 6.3 mm adaptor for use with studio equipment e.g Mixers
  The Volkano Clip Pro Series Microphone has two power usage modes:

• Active Mode — Uses battery power. For use on PC, Laptops, Audio Recorders Camcorders, and DSLR.

• Passive Mode — Uses power from the recording device. For use on Smartphones and Tablets.
  Select Active Mode or Passive Mode by using the Mode Switch:

• ON / Other = Active Mode

• OFF / Smartphone = Passive Mode

This microphone uses an LR44 button cell battery. To change the battery, unscrew the battery case to reveal the battery slot and replace the battery.

Ensure correct battery polarity (+/ -) position when replacing the battery.

INSTALLATION CONTINUED

• Navigate to the Taskbar and right-click on the “speaker” icon.
• Left-click on “Open Sound settings”
• Click on the “Choose your input device” dropdown menu and select the Microphone as your default device.
• Navigate to the Desktop Menu and click on “System Preferences”.
• Click on the “Sound” icon in the Hardware section.
• Click on the “Input” tab and select the Microphone from the list of devices.

TROUBLESHOOTING

1. My speakers are not playing any audio when the microphone is plugged in?
   Ensure that your computer’s default recording device is the Microphone and your default playback device is your designated speaker.

CLEANING & CARE INSTRU¢TI0NS – GENERAL

• Before cleaning: Ensure that your Microphone is not connected before cleaning or maintaining it.
• Cleaning: Wipe down the surface of your Microphone using a soft cloth.
• Do not use any harsh or abrasive cleaning chemicals or materials on your Microphone as doing so may damage or scratch the surface finish.
• Do not expose your Microphone to direct sunlight or high temperatures for extended periods of time.
• Do not store in temperatures over 140 °F (60 °C).

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

• Never use your microphone near water or in areas where it can come into contact with water. Never handle the microphone if it has dropped in water or any other liquid. If the product comes into contact with water while switched off, but still plugged in, this is a safety hazard.
• Always make sure your hands are dry before touching the plug or power connections.
• Do not operate the product with a damaged cord or plug, or after it malfunctions has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
• The microphone is intended for personal use only. Commercial use invalidates the warranty and the supplier cannot be held responsible for injury or damage caused when using the device for any other purpose than that which they were intended for.
• This microphone is not intended for use by children, or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the device by a person responsible for their safety. Extreme caution must be exercised.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the microphone. Packaging must never be left within reach of children since it is potentially dangerous.

ENVIRONMENTALLY-FRIENDLY DISPOSAL

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CORRECT DISPOSAL OF THE PRODUCT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE EUROPEAN DIRECTIVE ON WASTE ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT.

At the end of its working life, the product must not be disposed of as urban waste. lt must be taken to a special local authority differentiated waste collection center or to a dealer providing this service. Disposing of a household appliance separately avoids possible negative consequences for the environment and health deriving from inappropriate disposal and enables the constituent materials to be recovered to obtain significant savings in energy and resources. As a reminder of the need to dispose of household appliances separately, the product is marked with a crossed-out wheeled dustbin.

WARRANTY

The Volkano Clip Pro Series Microphone comes with a standard 12-month limited warranty against manufacturing defects and faults.
Should your Volkano Clip Pro Series Microphone be unboxed with any faulty parts, poor finishing or visible damage, or fail to perform due to a manufacturing defect or poor workmanship, please return it with your proof of purchase (till slip or invoice) to the store of purchase for an exchange, or repair, depending on the store’s returns policy.

This warranty commences from the date of purchase. Kindly retain your proof of purchase as well as the packaging for your warrant period.
NOTE:
The warranty does not apply to a product that:
a) Has failed due to excessive wear and tear beyond what is considered to be reasonable.
b) Has been misused or neglected.
c) Has been damaged accidentally or by Force Majeure including fire and flooding.
d) Has been used or operated contrary to operating or maintenance instructions outlined in this manual.

The Store of Purchase/ Seller cannot accept any returned products that have not been returned in accordance with this warranty or which do not follow their own Returns Policy. Please refer to the Store of Purchase/ Sellers Returns Policy for details.
