How to use it

Installation

Choose a place exposed at least 8 hours a day in full sun so that the collector can recharge properly. Shaded places reduce the charge of the battery. Place the solar panel properly so that it fully captures the sunlight and recharges optimally.

Optimum operation is only achieved when the battery has been continuously charge for a full day in the sun. Be sure to choose a sunny location to maximise solar panel performance.
Choose a windy place so the reflector will turn freely.

Install the spike so the repeller will point in the direction most travelled by animal pests. Assemble the two-piece stake and push it 10cm into the ground. Use a rubber mallet only if the ground is hard..

To easily insert stakes into the ground, it is recommended to wet the ground first. To avoid damaging garden stakes when inserting into the ground, select a spot in soft, rock-free soil. Insert the base of the stake first then gently insert the rest of the stake into the base. DO NOT push directly against the solar cell or the housing containing the actual LED light.

Be careful not to damage the top. Avoid placing the unit behind any large trees, wall or object otherwise light sensor may not work well.

Once the spike is correctly settled:
Mount the reflector part on top of the stake.
Mount the main unit to the top of the reflector.

Note: The main unit needs to be mounted so that the “wings” are positioned in the correct notches at the top of the reflector.
