No/Low Suction at the Floor

Empty the collection tank (if needed)
-
Turn the machine on with tank removed
-
Check the motor duct for suction at the opening on the base of the machine
- If no suction at the motor duct, please visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
- If there is suction at the motor duct, proceed to the next step
-
Verify the collection tank plug is in place and not damaged
-
Replace collection tank on machine, ensuring it is seated correctly
-
Set diverter knob to floor cleaning (it will lock into place)
-
Unplug the machine

Check the suction paths above and below the roller for debris
- If there is debris blocking either area, use a cotton swab to clean it
-
Check the suction path on the top of the tank for debris
- This area can be cleaned removing the diverter knob and running water through both ends of the suction path
- To remove the diverter knob, twist and pull it until it comes out
- Remove any debris that may be lodged in the diverter knob

Replace the tank and turn the machine on to check the float flap door
- Verify the door does not close prematurely (it will close if the machine is being leaned back)
- Make sure it’s standing upright and is locked into position
- If the float flap door is closing prematurely, the tank may need to be replaced
If still no suction, please visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
No/Low Suction at the Hose

Empty the collection tank (if needed)

Make sure the collection tank is seated correctly on the base of the machine
-
Also, make sure the collection tank plug is in place and not damaged
-
Set the diverter knob to floor cleaning (it will lock into place)
-
Turn the machine on
-
Check the motor duct for suction at the opening on the base of the machine
- If no suction at the motor duct, please visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
- If there is suction at the motor duct, proceed to the next steps

Remove the tool and check for suction at the end of the hose
- If there is suction at the end of the hose without the tool attached the tool may be clogged
- Run hot water through the tool or soak the tool to dislodge any debris that may be clogging it
- If there is not suction at the end of the hose without the tool attached, please visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
