SAFETY SUMMARY
DANGER
- Adhere to the electrical standards in effect, as well as the following points:
- It is imperative to switch off the power supply of the unit to which the device will be connected to, before proceeding to installation.
- Do not install ATW-RTU-11 outdoors.
- Ensure that there is no dust on the connection points such as the power terminals and/or on the cable. This may cause a fire or electric shock.
CAUTION
- This appliance must be used only by adult and capable people, who have received the technical information or instructions to handle properly and safely this appliance.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- The device power supplier must have a fixed installed wiring with an additional circuit breaker for power switch ON/OFF when required.
- Local or national regulations must be followed at all times during the preliminary work to prepare the electric power line for the equipment.
- Avoid falls and collisions.
- Never attempt to immerse the product in liquid.
- Do not use abrasive products or solvents to clean the casing. Its surface may be cleaned using a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not attempt to open the casing.
- Do not install the receiver where persons wearing a pacemaker may be present.
- All use or modification of the equipment not anticipated by Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning Spain, S.A.U. could lead to danger in using it.
- Use only the cables and accessories supplied.

RECEIVER DEVICE
Installation
NOTE
- Avoid positioning the receiver against or close to any metallic part to avoid any WI-FI transmission drop.
- Also, make sure that there is strong WI-FI signal reception at the place of product placement to ensure proper data transfer with the cloud. In case the WI-FI signal is weak boost it up through a WI-FI range extender.
- Install the device close to the unit to be controlled, in a way that the device can be dismantled if necessary. The product should be installed at a height of less than 1.5m high.
- Do not install the receiver where devices using radio frequencies as means of transmission are prohibited (Refer to local standards in effect).
- Do not install the receiver close to devices that may be affected by radio waves.
- Do not install the receiver in a damp environment (for example, a bathroom).

Disconnect the main power from the system.
To ensure your safety, always make sure the main power is switched off before accessing the wiring. -
Remove the cover from the receiver.

Mount the wiring plate to the wall or wall box.
NOTE
The plugs and mounting screws required are supplied. -
Connect the receiver wiring.
- Connect the H-LINK cable.
- Place the cable through the orifice identified by marker 3.
- Connect the power cable (L = Live; N = Neutral) (Tightening torque 0.50N·m)
- Place the power cable in the cable guide identified by marker 1.

The cables must be positioned in the box’s cable guides to guarantee the pull-off strength.

Attach the cover of the receiver to the wiring plate.

Reconnect the main power to the system.

Operation instructions
- ATW-IOT-01 is the home automation device dedicated to the Hitachi Heating range, allowing remote management of Hitachi heating units from CSNET Home applications.
- To allow such operations, ATW-IOT-01 must be connected to the Hitachi cloud through a WiFi network (2,4 GHz signal).
- When configuring the ATW-IOT-01 device for one user account, the device name and password are required.
- These details are available on the label placed on the plastic cover of the device.
Button functionality
WI-FI and password reset
In case a new password is forgotten, perform a WiFi and password reset to
restore the default settings. Once done, you will be able to configure again
the device.
Factory reset
Factory reset of the IOT + Cloud data (Button 1 15 sec + Button 2 15 sec) is
required in case:
- IDU/ODU H-Link Address of the Hitachi Heating Unit has changed.
- ATW-IOT-01 device has been connected to a different IDU/ODU unit than its original configuration.
Whenever the factory reset procedure has been done, the device is ready to be linked again to any installation as if it were a new product out of the box.

Fail-Safe Mode Setup
In case communication issues occur with the ATW-IOT-01 device (loss of the
connection to the cloud or of HLINK connection with the Heating unit), the
fail-safe protection of the system will let the Heating system continue
operating with the last communicated setpoints.

ROOM THERMOSTAT
Installation procedure
- This room thermostat is prepared to be table stand. Fit the thermostat by mounting it directly on top of the table stand.
- The room thermostat is linked to the receiver device ATW-IOT-01.
- The only required configuration is the selection of the zone (c1 or c2). Please consult the documentation provided via the QR located on the front cover for more details.

Switch Names and Functions
- The supplementary information about the purchased products is available through the QR printed in the front cover.
- In case that no access to the website or files are not readable, please contact your Hitachi dealer or distributor.
- The backlight turns off 30 s after the last operation. If you press any switch, the backlight is turned on. (Configurable by means of an optional function.)
- Make sure to press the buttons lightly with your fingertips.
- Do NOT press the buttons or anything with sharp points, such as a ball point pen. This may damage the controller.
