Mascon Digital Receiver Instructions
My digital receiver will not power on
The most common causes for digital receivers to not power on, are wall outlets, power bars, and remote control issues.
To fix these issues, please follow the instructions below:
Restart your digital receiver
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the digital receiver.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet or power bar.
- Wait 30 seconds, then reconnect the power cord.
- The digital receiver will now reboot, which could take up to 2 minutes.
- Press the power button on your remote to see if it works.
Check your connections to the wall outlet & power bar
- Try connecting the power bar into a different wall outlet.
- If your digital receiver is connected to a power bar, disconnect it and try plugging it directly to the wall outlet.
- Try plugging the digital receiver into a different wall outlet.
- Check your home breaker box and check to see if the breaker for the wall outlet has tripped. If it has, turn the breaker to the “on” position to restore power to that outlet, then try to power on your digital receiver.
Check your remote control
Some remote controls have mode buttons labelled CBL, TV, VCR, AUX, AUD, and DVD enabling you to control different types of devices. If you press one of the mode buttons, the remote control will be controlling that device until you press a different mode button.
- Press the CBL button, so your remote control is controlling your digital receiver.
- press the Power (PWR) button to turn on your digital receiver.
