Get to know your 30mm Telescope and all the functions it has to offer

HOW TO USE

  1. Remove the plastic dust cap from the 30mm objective lens.
  2. Aim the telescope at the subject you want to see.
  3. Place your eye just behind the eyepiece.
  4. To focus, slowly push or pull the eyepiece until you see your subject clearly. You will need to hold your telescope steady, or everything will look like it is shaking and make it hard to focus.

DID YOU KNOW?

Your telescope has a 15X magnification, which means you can see things 15 times closer than with the naked eye.

ASSEMBLY

  1. Stand the tripod vertically and spread the three legs fully apart.
  2. Fit the telescope tube to the tripod bracket and secure it using the bolt and wing nut provided.

YOUR EXPLORER TELESCOPE

You have a ‘refractor’ telescope, which means it has a long tube with a lens in the front and an eyepiece at the back. The front (objective) lens focuses light to form an image in the back. The eyepiece is a little magnifying glass with which you look at the image.

Since your telescope is lightweight it can be used as hand-held and is perfect for carrying in your backpack and using on trips, holidays, and explorations. It is especially good for activities like bird-watching!

MAKE YOUR WORLD BIGGER

DID YOUR KNOW?

The first telescope is said to have been invented by a Dutchman called Hans Lippershey in c:1608. He was a maker of spectacles. It was Galileo, however, soon after, who made improvements to this early creation, making it more powerful and pointing it into the sky!
