Quick Start Guide

Battery Replacement

Attention!
Replacement batteries must be purchased from Fusion Sport or an authorized distributor. The use of3rd party batteries will void the warranty.

  1. Remove battery cover screws and door
  2.  Remove existing battery
  3. Clip the new battery into the connector
  4. Replace the battery door
  5. Reset the unit: Press and hold the power button until the Power Indicator LED illuminates

Your SMART HUB base unit is the command center for the following Fusion Sports products:

Charging

The remaining battery charge on your SMART HUB is displayed on the LCD screen.
Turn your SMART HUB off after each session by holding the power button on the underside of the unit.
If your unit is inactive for 30 minutes without being turned off, the unit will sound an alarm to remind you. This alarm will sound for 15 seconds, after which the unit will automatically power off. Charge the unit using the Micro USB charger provided.

Antenna Operation

Extending the antenna is recommended for all sessions, except for when connecting SMART JUMP directly.
Setting Up: Rotate the antenna in a CLOCKWISE DIRECTION ONLY
Putting Away: Rotate the antenna in a COUNTER-CLOCKWISE DIRECTION ONLY

SD Card

Important – Please do not remove the SD card unless instructed to by Fusion Sports support.

PS2 Ports

Two PS2 ports are located on the underside of the unit. In the first release version, only the left port (Port A) is used for connecting Hand start pads (see picture above). Port B is unused at this time.

SMART SPEED App

Download the SMART SPEED Mobile App from the Apple Store or Google Play. Simply search for “SMART SPEED” by Fusion Sport.

Pairing Your Device

The first time you use SMART HUB with your mobile device you will need to pair the devices together. The process may be slightly different for different device models.

Pairing Your Device (cont.)

  1. Turn on your SMART HUB
  2. On your mobile device, go to the Settings app, and to the Bluetooth settings
  3. A new device will appear in your device list, starting with SS-SH and then the serial number of your device. Tap on this new device in the list
  4. Your SMART HUB will show a message on the LCD screen. Press the ENTER button on your SMART HUB
  5. Press the “pair” or “accept” button on your mobile device.
  6. Your devices will now be paired. Tapping on the device in the list will then connect the two devices, and they are ready for use

SMART HUB Range

Attention!
The Bluetooth Troubleshooting In the rare event of unusual behavior: range between SMART HUB and your mobile device: UP TO 10 METRES
Your device will warn you if you move out of range. If you become disconnected, go to Bluetooth settings on your device to continue your session.

Troubleshooting

In the rare event of unusual behavior:
1. Make sure the unit is charged
2. Reset the unit: Press and hold the power button until the Power Indicator LED illuminates

Register your free account on the SMART SPEED Mobile app to gain access to the SMART SPEED online website, where you can:

  • Create new team lists
  •  Download results
  • Create new drills
