B Better 0002 Pitch Perfect Motion Sensor User Manual

PitchPerfect consists of two sensor that are affixed with a magnet in a shirt and shorts. The trunk sensor is worn against the chest in the shirt and the hip sensor is worn in the back of the shorts on the pelvis. The devices can be used with a mobile application (for both IOS and Android), which can be found in the AppStore and Google Play under the name PitchPerfect Baseball.

How to use

  1. Turn your sensors on
    To turn the sensor on, press the button on the back of the sensors for 3 seconds until the green light flashes on.

  2. Connect with the app
    In the settings menu, press the ‘connect shirt’ or ‘connect pants’ button to view available sensors. After you select both, the sensors will automatically start to synchronise.

  3. Click sensors in clothing.
    Click the sensor with the green logo in the shirt. Click the sensor with the white logo in the pants.

  4. Start tracking
    Tap the home plate to open the tracking menu. Press ‘play’ when you are ready to start tracking. The sensors do not need to stay connected during your training.

  5. Stop tracking
    After you finish training you can stop tracking and save your data. Make sure you have a working internet connection, and both sensors appear connected, before you press the ‘save’ button.

  6. Turn your sensors off
    To turn the sensor off, press the button of the back of the sensors for 3 seconds until the green light flashes. The light should now stop flashing.

Charging Case

PitchPerfect includes a charger case that can be used to store, cary and charge the sensors. The charger is delivered with a USB-C cable.

  1. Power up the charger by connecting it with a USB-C cable to an AC-adapter. Any AC-adapter, with a 5VDC USB-A output rated at 500mA can be used for this charger. The green light on the front of the charger will turn on when connected properly.
  2. The sensors will start chargin when when the magnets on the sensor are connected in the charger case. Make sure the logo’s orientation on the casing and the sensor are alligned. Putting the sensors in the any other orientation will result in the sensors not being charged. The light indicator blinks slowly when it is charging.
  3. When the sensor is fully charged the light indicator stops blinking and remains on.
  4. If both sensors have been fully charged the USB cable can be unplugged from the charger.

  • Do not open the units! This might damage the safeguards of the units.

  • Never remove any warning or labels from the units.

  • This sensor contains a Lithium polymer battery.

  • Do not expose to fire.

  • Do not expose to high or extreme low pressures.
    Do not penetrate the units.

  • Do not emerge the units in water.

  • Do not leave the units in direct sunlight or high temperatures.

  • Only use certified USB chargers with a rated voltage of 5V and rated current of at least 500mA.

  • Only use proper USB-C cables with a rated current of at least 500mA.

  • Store the units in a dry environment.

  • If the unit is physically damaged, do not use the device and contact your distributor.

  • Device maintenance may only be done by a qualified  technician.

  • Do not put the device in a microwave, oven or washing machine.

Maintanance

Before any work on the unit, pull the charging cable out of the unit and make sure the unit is turned off.

Battery replacement

If the battery is not functioning properly, do not replace the battery by yourself. Let a qualified technician perform this replacement to prevent damage or injury to yourself or the equipment. There is danger of explosion or fire when the batteries are incorrectly replaced! Replace only with the same or equivalent type of batteries.

Cleaning

Do not poke anything in the USB connector (except for a micro-USB cable) and do not clean with pressurized air. This could damage the connector. If the exterior needs to be cleaned, use a piece of dry or damp cloth. Cleaning alcohol can be used as well. If the USB connector needs to be cleaned, then this should be performed by a qualified technician.

The unit, accessories and packaging should be sorted for environment-friendly recycling.
