IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:

Heed Warnings & Retain Instructions- Operate only as directed in this manual.
Water & Moisture: The SR20SS is for INDOOR USE only. Not suitable for use in barns, stables, and similar locations. WARNING: The appliance should not be used near water, for example over bathtubs, kitchen sinks, or above indoor swimming pools.
Do Not Modify: Do not modify, paint, or change the unit in any way.
Infirm & Children: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Flammable Vapors: This appliance is not to be used in locations where flammable vapor or explosive dust is likely to exist.
Heat: The appliance should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, stoves, and other appliances that produce heat.
Power Source: The appliance should be powered only as described in these instructions or as marked on the appliance.
Cleaning: The appliance should be cleaned only as recommended in these instructions and in accordance with the water and moisture warning stated in this manual
Liquid  Entry: Do not submerge the main body of the SR20SS in water.
Object Entry: Do not place any object through any of the openings in the SECTARID SR20SS.
Extension Cord: If required carry out a physical safety check of the extension cord before use.
Check for cuts or damage, kinks/twisting, exposed wires, damaged plugs (bent or loose pins). Avoid improper use of extension cords and keep them away from moisture.
Damage Requiring Service: service by a qualified technician when:

1. Heavy objects have fallen on the appliance.
2. The appliance has been dropped or the body of the SR20SS has been damaged.
3. The appliance does not operate normally or exhibits a change in performance.
4. The supply cord is damaged.

Service: do not attempt to service the appliance beyond that described in these operating instructions. For further servicing contact The Kelly Company 1800 677 982.
Precautions to be taken when replacing lamps and starters, if applicable. Risk of electric shock, disconnect power before installation, do not switch on power until installations are completed.

Thank you for purchasing the SECTARID® SR20SS Indoor Electronic Bug Zapper. This manual will provide you with directions for the safe and efficient operation of your SECTARID®. Failure to operate the SECTARID® SR20SS in accordance with the instructions in this manual may cause damage to the unit.

OPERATION & MOUNTING:
To achieve maximum performance from your SECTARID® SR20SS please review and observe the following recommendations:

1. Light-sensitive flying insects are attracted to the UV lamp and when they encounter the electrically charged grid surrounding the lamp they are instantly killed and dropped into the removable catch tray. Ensure tray is emptied regularly.
2. The SECTARID® SR20SS is designed for areas up to 80 square meters. For larger areas, multiple units should be used.
3. For optimum efficiency wall, hang, or surface mount, the SR20SS is approximately 1.7m high from the ground.
4. If a power extension lead is used it MUST be suitable for the intended use. Keep the extension lead dry and off the floor; avoid the heat, oil, and sharp edges.
5. Increase the effectiveness of the SR20SS by using Fly Attract Lure, an odorless; slow-release APVMA approved lure specifically for house flies. The lure is effective 30 days and is available from our websites listed below.

UV GLOBE

The UV globes used in all Sectarid Commercial bug zappers and traps are safe longwave.

SERVICE WARNINGS:

The user must not attempt to service the SECTARID® SR20SS Indoor Bug Zapper beyond what is described in the section below. All other servicing should be carried out by a qualified electrician or returned to The Kelly Company Pty Ltd.

The return freight/postage of the SR20SS during or outside of the warranty period is to be paid by the purchaser. Ensure that the SECTARID® SR20SS is well packed to avoid transport damage as this is not covered under the Warranty. Also, please include written details of the product failure to minimize time and cost of repair.

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE:

Ensure that the SECTARID® SR20SS is disconnected from its power source before performing any type of maintenance.

1. As Required clean the removable catch tray where dead insects drop under the electrified killing grid. To do this:
   a) Remove the tray located at the base of the bug zapper.
   b) Dispose of the dead insects and replace the tray.

2. Regularly clean the killing grid to maintain maximum performance. In areas of heavy infestations of flying insects grid cleaning may be required monthly or weekly. Use an air blower or long handle brush to dislodge insects trapped on the killing grid.
   Do not remove the front grille of the SECTARID® SR20SS to clean the killing grid.

3. Replace the UV globes every 12-24 months to ensure maximum output in the invisible ultraviolet frequency range. Replacement lamps are available from our website listed below or using the replacement form purchase page in this user manual.

4. Replace Fly attract lure every 30 days for maximum efficiency.

WARRANTY:

Congratulations on purchasing the SECTARID® Commercial Bug Killer Model SR20SS a quality appliance from The Kelly Company. Please read the following warranty information and complete the purchase date and retailer/supplier information as this will be needed when making a warranty claim.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. The product is warranted for 1 year from the date of original purchase.

The provision of this warranty shall not apply to any product which has been subject to abuse and misuse, neglect, or accident. Nor does the warranty apply to any product that has within the warranty period been used for a purpose for which the product has not been designed or which has been repaired or altered in such a way to adversely affect its performance and reliability. Service by an unauthorized source may void the warranty.

The Kelly Company Pty Ltd neither assumes nor authorizes any person to assume responsibility for damages due to accident, abuse, lack of responsible care, or the fixing of any unauthorized attachment or subjecting the product to any but 240V.

Warranty Claim:

1. Ensure that the SECTARID® Commercial Bug Killer Model SR20SS is well packed to avoid transport damage as this is not covered under the Warranty. Also, please include written details of the product failure, proof of purchase, and your full name, address, telephone number, and email address.
2. The return freight/postage is to be paid by the purchaser if not under warranty.
3. Send the product to our Service Department (details below)

TROUBESHOOTING **

**

SR2OSS is not plugged into a live powerpoint.
2. Lamp has dislodged from the lamp holder.
3. Lamp had broken in transit.
4. Lamp Starter is faulty| 1. Check powerpoint is on and plugged in.
2. Call customer service for assistance 1800 677 982.
The lamp operates but there is no zapping on the  killing grid| 1. Dead insects are shorting out the grid.
2. Electrical component (transformer) or wiring fault| 1. Clean grid following cleaning instructions on page 4
2. Call customer service for assistance 1800 677 982.
Intermittent or constant zapping of killing grid when no insects are present| 1. Space between inner and outer killing grids is too small causing arcing.
2. Killing grid is clogged with dead insects or other material| 1. Turn the unit off, locate the point where the unit is arcing. Then call customer service on 1800 677 982
2. Turn off the unit and use compressed air, an air blower, or a brush to remove insects.
The unit does not attract flying insects| 1. SR20SS is positioned incorrectly / in the wrong location
2. Consider using a slow-release fly lure to aid with attraction.| 1. Refer to the ‘Operation’ section of this manual.

A lamp does not operate and the killing grid is not zapping| 1. Unit is not plugged into live powerpoint.
