INSTRUCTION MANUAL

Important Safety Instructions
  1. WARNING: Please refer the information on exterior bottom enclosure for electrical and safety information before installing or operating the apparatus.
  2. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture. The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on apparatus.
  3. WARNING: The battery (battery or batteries or battery pack) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like. 4
  4. WARNING: The mains plug is used as disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.

  1. READ INSTRUCTIONS – All the safety and operating instructions should be read before the appliance is operated.

  11. ESD WARNING – The display does not function properly or no reaction to operation of any the control may due to the electrostatic discharge. Switch off and unplug the set. Reconnect after a few seconds.
  12. DAMAGE REQUIRING SERVICE – The appliance should be serviced by qualified service personnel when: a. The power-supply cord or plug has been damaged. b. Objects have fallen into, or liquid has been spilled into the appliance enclosure. c. The appliance has been exposed to rain. d. The appliance has been dropped, or the enclosure damaged. e. The appliance does not appear to operate normally.
  13. SERVICING – The user should not attempt to service the appliance beyond that described in the user operating instructions. All other servicing should be referred to qualified service personnel.

POWER SUPPLY

1. For battery power, this unit requires 2 x AA size batteries (Not included). 2. To power the device, plug the AC adapter 3V 600mA (Not included) into the
AC power input on the rear of the unit and a standard power outlet

POWER SOURCE

Set the “FUNTION” switch to select different mode

  • OFF = TAPE MODE
  • ON = TAPE and BLUETOOTH MODE
VOLUME

Adjust the “VOLUME” knob to the desired volume level.

CASSETTE
  1. Switch to the “TAPE” mode.
  2. Open the Cassette Door and inset the pre-recorded cassette tape with the exposed tape facing upwards
  3. Close the Cassette Door
  4. Press the “PLAY” button to do playback or pause playback temporarily
  5. Press the “FAST FORWARD” button to rapidly advance the tape.
  6. Press the “STOP” button to switch off
AUTO STOP

To protect your cassette tapes and prevent unnecessary wear to the pinch roller of the cassette mechanism, this unit is equipped with an Automatic Stop System. When the tape ends during play or fast forwarding, the “PLAY” button will automatically release to stop the cassette from running.

CASSETTE TAPE OPERATING TIPS
  1. High quality tapes are recommended to obtain maximum quality reproduction from recordings.
  2. Tapes with playing time of 120 minutes (C-120) are not recommended because they contain thinner and longer tape that has a greater chance to malfunction and jam, which may damage the cassette mechanism.
  3. To obtain good reproduction, the head should be cleaned after every 10 to 20 hours of use. It is also recommended that the cassette be kept away from excessive heat or cold.
  4. If there is slack in the tape, remove the slack prior to inserting the cassette. To remove the slack, insert a pencil into the hub and rotate clockwise as shown:
  5. A leader tape is provided at the beginning on each cassette. There is no recording on this area, so it is necessary to let the tape run for about five seconds to clear the head.
  6. Keep the tape head clean since a dirty head can cause distorted sound or improper tape speed. Depress the “PLAY” button and use a small cotton swab with tape head cleaner or alcohol to clean the tape head, capstan and pinch roller as shown:
BLUETOOTH TRANSMIT
  1. Turn on the Bluetooth device (eg: speaker, headphone or others……)
  2. Open the Cassette Door and inset the pre-recorded cassette tape with the exposed tape facing upwards
  3. Close the Cassette Door
  4. Press the “PLAY” button to do playback or pause playback temporarily
  5. Press the “FAST FORWARD” button to rapidly advance the tape.
  6. Press the “STOP” button to switch off
  7. Switch on the BT mode, then BT indicator flashing and then finding the nearby BT device. The BT appears on the display and the connecting alarm can be heard. (*please leave the Bluetooth device nearly at the first pairing time, it is better to finish the pair)
  8. Adjust the VOLUME control to your desired listening level by the Bluetooth device. The Cassette Player volume control is not supporting the Bluetooth device. Other functions are according to the Cassette Player
  9. Switch off the BT mode to disconnect the Bluetooth pair, and the disconnecting alarm can be heard.
HEADPHONE JACK
  1. Use 3.5mm headphone plug (not included) to connect the 3.5mm headphone jack
  2. External audio player Control the music from the external audio player
  3. Change the volume level on this item or External Music Device separately
LINE OUT
  1. Use 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to connect the 3.5mm stereo Line-Out jack and another external device.
  2. Control the music from the device
  3. Change the volume level on another external device.
