4. CHARGING
4.1 BATTERY LEVEL STATUS
While the Safe Spacer is charging, the lights on the unit will show you the
battery level status:
CAUTION: Keep Safe Spacer and the power adapter in a dry, well-ventilated area when charging. Don’t use a charging cable or power adapter that is damaged or modified. Failure to do so may cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to Safe Spacer or other property. Don’t wear Safe Spacer on your body or under clothing when charging the device.
5. DATA TRANSFER
IMPORTANT NOTE: up to three S-Charger can be powered up with a single
PSU.
But, each S-Charger must be connected to a free USB port on the host computer.
Also, a physical limit does exist on the max number of USB virtual COM that
can be connected to the same computer. The maximum number of devices that can
be connected to a single USB port is (theoretically) 127. Unfortunately,
different Operating Systems handle different USB controller models in
different ways.
On Windows an average of 42-48 Safe Spacers can be handled contemporary.
The most stringent limit is due to the Intel USB 3.0 controllers’
implementation of the XHCI specification.
On Raspbian: 100 Safe Spacers can be properly handled.
On Mac an average of 30 Safe Spacers can be handled contemporary.
