Camera Introduction

Charging

Please charge the camera via adapter & USB cable and charging dock provided. When the camera is fully charged and the camera has no footage, the charging indicator will turn from Red to Green.
There are 2 ways of charging:

  1. Charging by adapter & USB cable and charging dock Camera can work normally while being charged by adapter + USB cable.
  2. Connect camera to computer via USB cable ince the current of different computer’s USB ports varies from each other, it is normal if there are circumstances that camera can not be fully charged.PINNACLE -RESPONSE -PR7- Body -Worn -Camera -2

Please charge the camera for 3-4 hours before using it. The LED1 Standby /charging status LED will turn red when the camera is charged. When the camera is fully charged, and the camera contains no video footage, the LED1 will turn green.

Getting Started

Buttons & LEDs

1. Power/ WIFI Button:
Hold 3 seconds to turn on/off the camera; When the camera is on, press twice within 1 second to turn on/off WIFI.

2. Shutter Button
When the camera is off, slide the shutter button down to turn on the camera & start recording. When the camera is in standby mode (powered on, but not recording), slide the shutter button down to start recording. Slide the shutter button up to stop recording.
3. Function Button
When the camera is in standby mode, hold the button for 3 seconds to switch to pre-record mode. When pre-record mode is on, the camera will record 5-120 seconds of muted video prior to the shutter button being slid down. When the camera is recording, press the Function button once to tag the video as an important file, LED1 will flash blue once to indicate file being tagged as important successfully.

4. Reset
When camera freezes or works abnormally, holding the Power/ WIFI Button and Function button together for 5 seconds to make a reset. The camera will work properly again.

5. LEDs
There are 3 LEDs:
LED1 is Standby & Charging status LED.
When the camera is in Standby mode (powered on but not recording), LED1 is flashing green, flash once every 2 seconds. When the camera is recording, press the Function button once, the LED1 will flash blue once to indicate file tagging is done. When the camera is being charged, the LED1 will turn solid red. Once the camera battery level reaches 100% and camera footage is uploaded and removed from the camera SD card (no video footage in SD card), LED1 will turn solid green.

LED2 is the Record status LED.
When the shutter button is slid down, LED 2 will turn on to show the recording status: When the camera has enough battery and storage, the LED2 is solid green. When the camera has either low battery (lower than 15% battery level) or low storage (lower than 15% storage level), the LED2 turns solid red, to indicate user that the camera requires charging or data transfer.

LED3 is a WIFI status LED.
When the camera WIFI is turned on, the LED 3 will start flashing once every 5 seconds. Once WIFI are successfully connected, LED3 will start flashing once every 1 second. Once WIFI connected to WIFI and start video uploading, LED3 will turn solid blue.

Power On/Off:

  1. Press and hold the Power/WIFI button (the red button located on left side of the camera) for about 3 seconds. The camera will power on. LED1 Standby/Charging status LED will turn on and be green, flashing once every 2 seconds. The standby indicator will remain flashing green while the camera is in standby mode.
  2. When the camera is in standby mode (power on but not recording ), press and hold the Power/WI Fl button for about 3 seconds to power off the camera. The flashing green LED1 will also turn off. Please note, must slide the shutter up, then the camera can be turned off, as the camera can not be turned off when the camera is recording.

Recording

One Touch Recording:
When the camera is powered off, slide down the shutter button
(located on the front of the camera) to power on camera and start video recording automatically. The LED2 Record status LED will turn on(solid green or solid red), indicating that the camera is now recording.
When camera has enough battery and storage, the LED2 is solid green. When camera has either low battery (lower than 15% battery level) or low storage (lower than 15% storage level) , the LED2 turns solid red, to indicate user that camera requires charging or data transfer.

Normal Video Recording:
a.When camera is in standby mode(powered on but not recording), to record a video, slide down the shutter button (located on the front of the camera). The LED2 Record status LED will turn on, indicating that the camera is now recording. When camera has enough battery and storage, the LED2 is solid green. When camera has either low battery (lower than 15% battery level) or low storage (lower than 15% storage level) , the LED2 turns solid red, to indicate user that camera requires charging or data . b. When camera is recording, slide up the shutter button (located on the front of the camera) to stop video recording. The LED2 Record status LED will turn off, and LED1 Standby/Charging status LED will turn green, flashing once every 2 seconds, indicating that the camera is now in standby mode.

Low Battery & Low Space Warning
When camera is recording, if battery or storage level is below 15%, the LED2 will be solid red, to indicate camera is in low battery or low storage status.

No Space Warning
When camera SD card space is less than 400 MB, then camera will automatically stop recording if camera is recording. Both LED1 & LED 2 will be flashing rapidly to indicate camera is out of storage.
Note: When camera is out of space, sliding shutter down can not start record until storage is more than 400MB.

Pre-Recording & File tagging

Pre-recording
When camera is in standby mode, holding the function button for 3 seconds to switch to pre-record mode. When pre-record mode is on, the camera will record 5-120 seconds of muted video prior to shutter button being slid down. The pre- recorded video is muted, and the file name is different as normal video file name. For example: Normal video file name: N_PR?-800001_000000_01012022180101_D _N0001 Pre-recorded video file name: N_PR?-800001_000000_01012022180101_P _N0001

File Tagging
When camera is recording, press Function button once to tag the video as an important file, LED1 will flash blue once to indicate file being tagged as important successfully. The videos that are tagged as important will not be deleted if camera is set to loop recording mode. The tagged video file name is different as normal video file name. For example: Normal video file name: N_PR -800001_000000_01012022180101_D _N0001 Pre-recorded video file name: E_PR?-800001_000000_01012022180101_D _N0001

Camera Management Software

Installing the Camera Management Software (Cam Manager) allows for viewing and downloading saved video footage, changing device settings, and syncing date and time.

Software Requirements:
Windows 7, 8, or 10 operation system Hard drive storage for archiving video (1TB recommended)

Cam Manager Login:
1. Open the “Cam Manager” software on your computer. Connect camera to computer via USB cable. Your camera will power on and get connected to computer.
There are 2 user types:

  1. General User: This mode allows for viewing and downloading media files only. The default password is: 000000
  2. Administrator: This mode allows for changing device settings as well as viewing and downloading media files. The default password is: 888888PINNACLE -RESPONSE -PR7- Body -Worn -Camera -4

Camera Management Software

Camera Info
After login, the Camera Management Software will open on the Camera Info tab.PINNACLE -RESPONSE -PR7- Body -Worn -Camera -5

  1. Under” Device Info” There are device model Numbers and bar code;
  2. Under” Other” There are settings of: Device ID, User ID, Firmware version, Battery Left level, free space and Watermark. Making changes by enter new settings into the white text box, click “Apply” to save the settings.
  3. Click “Refresh” button to refresh the battery status;
  4. Click “Sync PC Date Time” to sync the camera’s date & time to the computer’s;
  5. Click “Open File Explorer” to get access to camera SD card mass storage. User are able to check, copy or delete files;
  6.  Click “Format Disk” to Format the Camera’s Memory Disk, the files will be DELETED immediately, and the disk’s space will be released.

Network Settings

  1. Under “Server Config”, user can change Device Name, Protocol, Server URL, Server IP, Server Port, Account, and password. Making changes by enter new settings into the white textbox, click “Apply” to save the settings.
  2.  WIFI
  3. A.Click “Link Mode” drop-down list(under “Universal Setting”) There are three options to select from: Off/Auto/Manual
  4. Off: WIFI will not turn on automatically once the camera is power on.
  5. Auto: WIFI will be turned on automatically once the camera is powered on.
  6. Manual: WIFI needs to be turned on/off manually. (Press power button once to turn ON/OFF WiFi. When WiFi is being turned ON, WiFi indicator will be blinking white. When WiFi is ON, WiFi indicator will be solid white )
  7. Mode: AP/STA/P2P
  8. AP: User can check the video streaming using WIFI APP.
  9. TA: Camera can get connected to WIFI hotspot and make live video streaming through special software .
  10. P2P: Camera make video streaming and short distance video transfer by using WIFI direct function on smart phone.
  11. In AP Setting, user can change WIFI SSID & WIFI Password by inputting new WIFI SSID in the “SSID” textbox and new password in the “Password” textbox, click “Apply” to save the settings.
  12. In STA Setting, user can change WIFI SSID & WIFI Password by inputting new WIFI SSID in the “SSID” textbox and new password in the “Password” textbox, click “Apply” to save the settings.
  13. In P2P mode, user can check the WIFI Password. To change password, just input new password in the “Pin Code” textbox, click “Apply” to save the settings.

Camera Settings
Click the “Camera Settings” tab in the Camera Management Software.

From here you can change device settings. Select the setting you wish to change, and a drop down will appear with all available options. Select the setting you want. Click “Apply” to update settings withthe new chosen options. Main Resolution (Camera Video Resolution) Click the “Main Resolution” drop down. There are six settings to choose from: 2560×1440 30P / 1920x 1080 60P / 1920x 1080 30P / 1280x 720 60P / 1280x 720 30P / 848x 480 30PClick the setting you prefer and click “Apply” to save. Image Quality (Video Image Quality) Click the “Image Quality” drop down. There are three settings to choose from: High / Medium / Low Click the setting you prefer and click “Apply” to save.
Note: Image Quality refers to the quality of videos.

Streaming Resolution
Click the “Streaming Resolution” drop down. There are three settings to choose from: 1280 x 720 / 848 x 480 / 432 x 240 Click the setting you prefer and click “Apply” to save.

Streaming Bitrate
Click the “Streaming Bitrate” drop down. There are seven settings to choose from: 5000Kbs / 4000Kbs / 3000Kbs / 2000Kbs / 1000Kbs / 500Kbs / 300Kbs Click the setting you prefer and click “Apply” to save.

Streaming Frame Rate
Click the “Streaming Frame Rate” drop down. There are six settings to choose from: 5 FPS/ 10 FPS/ 15 FPS/ 20 FPS/ 25 FPS/ 30 Click the setting you prefer and click “Apply” to save.

Mute Recording
Click the “Mute Recording” drop down. There are three settings to choose from: Off/ On / Pre-recorded Click the setting you prefer and click “Apply” to save.

Note: Audio won’t be recorded when mute recording is on; If Only Pre­record chosen, then only the pre-recorded video will be muted.

Streaming Control
Click the “Streaming Control” drop down, There are six settings to choose from: OFF/ Audio/ Video/ AV/ Text/ ALL Click the setting you prefer and click “Apply” to save.
Note: AV refers to Audio & Video.

Video Splitter
Click the “Video Splitter” drop down. There are five settings to choose from: Off: Videos will be in segment of 30 minutes

  • 5min
  • 10 min
  • 15 min

Click the setting you prefer and click “Apply” to save.
Note: Video splitter refers to the length of video segments while the device is recording. The minute amount is the length of each video segment before the device begins a new video file. This will NOT stop the device from recording, it will just split your videos into smaller, more manageable files.

Recording Notification
Click the “Recording Notification” dropdown. There are six settings to choose from: Off/ 5 sec/ 10 sec/ 15 sec/ 30 sec/ 60 sec Click the setting you prefer and click “Apply” to save.
Note: Recording Notification will give audio chirps at the specified interval as long as the camera is recording. This will not affect the notifications at the start and end of recordings.

Pre Record
Click the “Pre Record” drop down. There are eight setting to choose from: Off/ 5 sec/ 10 sec/ 15 sec/ 20 sec/ 30 sec/ 60 sec/ 120 sec Click the setting you prefer and click “Apply” to save
Note: When checked with a second amount, the camera will record 5- 120 seconds of video prior to Video Recording button being pressed.

Post Record
Click the “Post Record” dropdown. There are six settings to choose from: Off/ 5 sec/ 10 sec/ 20 sec/ 30 sec/ 60 sec Click the setting you prefer and click “Apply” to save.
Note: The camera will record extra set length of the video after Video Recording button being pressed.

Web Server
Click the “Web Server” drop down. There are four settings to choose from: Off/ Http/ Https / Http & Https Click the setting you prefer and click “Apply” to save.
Note: Files recorded can be browsed via web server when WiFi is turned on.

TV-Out
Click the “Video Standard” dropdown. There are two settings to choose from: NTSC / PAL Click the setting you prefer and click “Apply” to save.

  1. Click the “AES256 Encryption” tab in camera management software. Click the “Data Encryption” dropdown. There are four settings to choose from: Off/ File Encryption/ Streaming Encryption/ Both
  2. Click the “Decryption Play” dropdown. There are two settings to choose from: Off I On

Note: When chosen on, users are able to display encrypted video in-camera playback mode.

AES Key
To change AES Key, just input the new AES Key in the text box. The AES Key is consist of letters & numbers. After changing the settings, click “Apply” to save.

Change Password
Click the “Change Password” tab in the Camera Management Software. From here you can change device passwords. Select the user type for the password that you wish to change. Enter the ad min password, then enter the new password you wish to set for the user type, and confirm the password. Click “Apply” to save the new password.PINNACLE -RESPONSE -PR7- Body -Worn -Camera

Note: Passwords can only be changed while logged in with the admin account. The admin password will always be required to make changes to any account passwords.

FCC Warning

This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:(1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Any Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

  • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
  • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
  • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
  • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) information

This Body-Worn Camera meets the government’s requirements for exposure to radio waves. The guidelines are based on standards that were developed by independent scientific organizations through periodic and thorough evaluations of scientific studies. The standards include a substantial safety margin designed to assure the safety of all persons regardless of age or health.

FCC RF Exposure Information and Statement

The SAR limit of USA (FCC) is 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue. Device types: PR7 (FCC ID: 2AHJHPNR0084) has also been tested against this SAR limit. The highest SAR value reported under this standard during product certification when properly worn on the body is 0.696W/kg. This device was tested for typical body-worn operations with the back of the handset kept 0mm from the body. To maintain compliance with FCC RF exposure requirements, use accessories that maintain a 10mm separation distance between the user’s body and the back of the handset. The use of belt clips, holsters, and similar accessories should not contain metallic components in its assembly. The use of accessories that do not satisfy these requirements may not comply with FCC RF exposure requirements and should be avoided.

Body-worn Operation

This device was tested for typical body-worn operations. To comply with RF exposure requirements, a minimum separation distance of 10mm must be maintained between the user’s body and the handset, including the antenna. Third-party belt clips, holsters, and similar accessories used by this device should not contain any metallic components. Body-worn accessories that do not meet these requirements may not comply with RF exposure requirements and should be avoided. Use only the supplied or an approved antenna.
