User Guide
Genio® is intended to treat patients suffering from moderate to severe
Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA).
This solution is indicated as a second-line therapy in patients who have
either not tolerated, have failed, or refused Positive Airway Pressure (PAP)
therapy.
The system is comprised of an implant and external components for the daily
use of the system.
This guide will help you set up and use Genio. Start using Genio® and enjoy
restful nights!

The first time using Genio®
Installation of the system
- Remove the Activation Chip from the protective cover.
- Place the Activation Chip in the docking area of the Charging Unit to charge it.
- Connect the Charging Unit to an electrical outlet. The light of the power adapter should turn on.

Good evening!
Take out the Activation Chip from the Charging Unit
Connect the Activation Chip to the Disposable Patch
Good morning!
Remove the Disposable Patch and the Activation Chip
Disconnect the Activation Chip from the Disposable Patch
Tilt your head back and apply the Disposable Patch under your chin
Reposition your head and flatten the edges of the Disposable Patch
Place the Activation Chip into the docking area of the Charging Unit to recharge it

Quick Troubleshooting & Reset
Resetting the Activation Chip
- Disconnect the Activation Chip from the Disposable Patch while the Disposable Patch stays attached under your chin.
- Place the Activation Chip in the docking area of the Charging Unit, then remove it. The Activation Chip light should flicker blue.
- Reconnect the Activation Chip to the Disposable Patch. The Activation Chip light should stay blue for a few seconds while you should feel the test pulse.

Charging the Activation Chip
If the light of the Charging Unit does not turn on when plugging the Activation Chip in:
- Verify the power adaptor is properly connected to the electrical power and that the light of the power adapter is on. Verify the connection between the
- Charging Unit and the micro-USB cable. Verify the contact between the
- Activation Chip and the Charging Unit. Try manually applying slight pressure to the Activation Chip.
