INSTALLATION

First of all, you must synchronize your infrared presence sensor A with your sound and light receiver B.

  1. Remove the battery compartment cover from the two boxes.
  2. Use the included flathead screwdriver to adjust the small dials on each device so that the letters and numbers are exactly the same on the devices which should be Synchronized. Example: First dial P – 2nd dial 16 on each of the 2 boxes.
  3. Once the two boxes are on the same letters and same numbers, then insert the batteries – not included – while respecting the polarity. AAA-LRO3 Batteries for Infrared PIR Sensor A /AA-LRO6 Batteries for Sound and Light Receiver B.

INSTALLATION

INFRARED PIR SENSOR A

Your sensor should be installed outdoors. Although it is guaranteed to be IP44, we advise you to install it under cover. Use the double-sided adhesives or screws, fix the mounting base E to the place you have chosen external wall, beam, window – Once the base in place on its support, insert the infrared PIR sensor while slidingit down according to the diagram in the next page:

SOUND AND LIGHT RECEIVER B

The sound and light receiver can either be placed on a shelf and then moved anywhere in the house, or be fixed to the wall with a screw included .

OPERATION

Infrared PIR sensor A :The infrared PIR sensor covers the space in front of it. If someone enters the space, it detects this presence and sends a signal to the sound and light receiver B to warn you.
The sensing surface of the sensor depends on the use or not – of the removable covers included according to the diagrams in the next page:

Detection angle

  • Without any cover, the perception angle is about 110 °, with a coverage distance ranging from 0 to 7 meters between the person and the sensor.


  • With the use of a side cover simply clip it on the sensor the angle toggle to about 80° with a coverage distance ranging from 0 to 7 meters between the person and the sensor.
  • With the use of 2 covers one on each side – the angle is reduced to about 30 ° with a coverage distance between the person and the sensor, from 0 to 7 meters.

WARNING

  • In order not to detect the presence of small animals, the vertical detection angle is about 15 – see diagram below

Make sure to position your sensor accordingly and test the inclination of the sensor according to your choice. Sound and light receiver

Your sound and light receiver, which should be positioned inside your home, warns you when receiving the signal sent by the sensor. The warning is made according to the position of the switch below:

  • Sound signal – 4 optional sound effects available –
  • A light signal only – flashing blue light-
  • sound + light at the same time

The sound selection Dingdong/Welcome/Simons/Beep/Alarm sound/Dog barking 1/ Dog barking 2/ Dog barking 3- is operated with the button (see icon in the illustration, on the next page) and the sound is changed by simply press the button.

  • The volume can also be adjusted, using the receiver button below. You can choose among 4 sound levels. Each press of the button increases the volume and once it reaches the maximum, returns to the minimum volume:

Once this last step is completed, your “Eclipse Detection'” security system is fully operational and ready for use.

Reminder:

  • You can easily activate and deactivate it with the ON/ OFF button located on the PIR sensor .
  • We are sure that your “Eclipse Detection / Watchdog” system will bring you complete satisfaction.

Warning:

  • When the external sensor detects motion, you must wait 7 seconds before the detector sends a signal again.
  • When the sound of your receiver begins to decrease or the light is dimmer, we recommend changing the batteries.

2nd Section ADD AUXILIARY TRANSMITTER SENSORS

Although your “Eclipse Detection / Watchdog” security system is fully operational as it is, you can choose to extend its operation by adding other sensors, such as if you decide to equip a large house with many openings. to protect. Your distributor « L’Home Modern” can provide you with these accessories (see catalog or website).These new accessories are synchronized to the case in the same way as those delivered with your system.
