PREPARING THE DEVICE FOR WORK
STORAGE AND GENERAL REMARKS
ATTENTION ! BEFORE MEASUREMENT !
Rinse your mouth after drinking the alcohol and wait 30 minutes. This amount of time is crucial for the alcohol to absorb into your bloodstream and to reduce the alcohol vapors in your mouth and saliva. For the correct results, do not eat, drink or smoke cigarettes for min. 30 minutes before taking the measurement. Do not measure in strong winds , in air-conditioned rooms, or in polluted air. Do not use immediately after hand disinfection or in the rooms with present disinfectants.
Many factors may interfere with the measurement results (heavy environmental pollution, smoking , various gas vapors, wind , air conditioning , alcohol vapors coming from disinfectants), hence the results presented would the breathalyzer are only estimates. The manufacturer , importer and seller do not bear any responsibility for the correctness of the results and potential damage caused by improper use of the breathalyzer. The device cannot be used as an evidence breathalyzer .
Follow the information on the breathalyzer’s display and in the instructions when taking a measurement.
HOURLY ALCOHOL ELIMINATION
The alcohol level in blood and exhaled air changes over time . At first, it increases during the absorption of alcohol into the blood , then decreases during its elimination (burning ) in the body. A breathalyzer can help you estimate which phase you are in: alcohol concentration increase or elimination. To obtain a reliable result , take measurements when you are no longer intend to consume alcohol. We suggest to make min. 3 measurements at equal 30 minute intervals and to record the individual results. Comparison of these results will give an answer to the question in which phase you are – using elimination 3 decreasing results obtained in equal intervals it is possible to estimate when the body will get rid of alcohol .
CARRYING OUT THE MEASUREMENT
Insert the mouthpiece into the measuring hole (*1) .
Turn on the device by pressing the function button on the main panel (*2) .
After starting , you will hear a single beep. The display will show four eights ( 1) , and then the breathalyzer will display the number of measurements already taken ( 2 ) and start preparing for the test by counting down from 10 to 0 (*3) .
TROUBLESHOOTING: READ BEFORE YOU RETURN FOR REPAIR
If you have the impression that your breathalyzer is not working properly , we recommend to check the following:
1. The use of old or improper batteries may affect the accuracy of the results. Use only high-quality alkaline batteries. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
2. Decalibration of the breathalyzer. Each breathalyzer should be calibrated in accordance with its technical specification. For 12 months from the purchase of the breathalyzer , we will perform the calibration service for FREE!!! For more information , please visit alcoforce.com .
3. Each person has a different ability to metabolize alcohol, and this ability can change periodically depending on a number of factors . So if your PROFESSIONAL 2.0 Breathalyzer is regularly calibrated according to the service interval and you use it according to the instructions and the following three results are close to each other, it is most likely working properly . You can read more about the factors that affect breathalyzer results at: alcoforce.com.

CALIBRATION
ATTENTION
Calibration is a concept inherent in EVERY Breathalyzer . This means that every 12 months or so the breathalyzer should be reconfigured to correctly interpret the indications of the wearable sensor. The need for calibration is evidenced by the messages displayed on the device and results that deviate significantly from reality – for example , 0.5 % despite the absence of alcohol consumption.
The necessity of calibration is not a disadvantage of the breathalyzer and is not subject to complaint. Please do not expect that a breathalyzer that is not calibrated regularly will show the correct results. Calibrations after the free service period are chargeable and can be made at the premises of ALCOFORCE / WORK AND ROAD SAFETY CORPORATION (also by mail order) or at another authorized breathalyzer service point. Additional information can be found in the Warranty Card.
