Publisher: Volcano Tech. Lim. / Tuya Inc.

Getting Started

  • Flip out the stand at the back.
  • Turn on the power switch (6).
  • Insert micro USB power cable and connect to a 5V USB power source.
  • Tap ‘start’ on the screen.
  • Select a menu language.
  • Download the app by scanning the QR code above.

The screen has a built-in battery that allows the alarm system to work for 1 day during a power outage. Remove the screen protective film once everything is working satisfactorily.

Optional: Connect to WiFi & App

  • Enable Bluetooth on the phone so the app can find the alarm (Bluetooth is only needed once for pairing with the app and can then be turned off).
  • Ensure the phone is connected to a 2.4Ghz WiFi network.
  • The app will now search for the alarm system. Tap ‘Add’ and enter the WiFi password or tap the ‘+’ (add device) in the top right corner of the app.

Optional: Insert SIM Card

  • To receive a call and/or SMS in case of an alarm, a SIM card can be inserted. After this, the alarm can be turned on or off via an SMS message.
  • First, remove the SIM pin code & top-up the SIM card balance by placing it in a phone (repeated top-ups can be done via the provider’s app, thus eliminating the need to keep placing the SIM card in a phone).
  • Slide open the metal slider by moving it upwards.
  • Place the nano SIM card with the metal contacts facing the alarm system and the corner facing down to the right.
  • Slide the metal slider back down.

Alarm Activation

  • On-screen: Select ‘Away/Arm’ (entering user code not required).
  • Use the remote control.
  • In the app: Select ‘Away’.
  • Send SMS to the alarm: ‘away arm’.

Partial Alarm Activation

  • On-screen: Select ‘Home/Partial Arm’ (entering user code not required).
  • Use the remote control.
  • In the app: Select ‘Home’.
  • Send SMS to the alarm: ‘stay arm’.

Disarming the Alarm

  • On-screen: Select ‘Disarm All’ and enter user code (default: 1234).
  • Use the remote control.
  • In the app: Select ‘Home’.
  • Send SMS to the alarm: ‘disarm’.

Only the numbers entered in the menu can turn the alarm on/off via SMS. The alarm has a microphone so that the environment’s sound can be heard when the system calls after an alarm.
