Precautions

Care and Cleaning:

Do not apply volatile substances such as insecticides.
Do not allow rubber or vinyl materials to be in prolonged contact with the product.
Do not use thinner, benzine, or alcohol.
Avoid using wipes, chemically treated cloths, and other products that contain such substances.
Wipe with a soft, dry cloth.

Remove and Attach Covers

Go to the control centre and select Power > Turn Off PS5. The screen goes blank, the power indicator flashes white and then turns off.
Remove the AC power cord and cables, and then wait for the PS5 console to cool down. The main unit of your console is hot immediately after use.
Place the console with the bottom facing up and the front side facing you, and then remove the feet.
Remove the cover. Slightly lift the cover away from the console to detach its clips and remove it.
Attach the cover. Align the cover’s clips with the corresponding holes on the console and push in until you hear a click.
Attach the feet, connect the AC power cord and cables, and then turn on the power.

Precautions

Set up and handling

After you have turned off your PlayStation®5 console and unplugged the AC power cord and cables, wait for your console to cool down before removing and attaching the covers.
The main unit of your PS5® console may still be hot immediately after use, and continued handling of your console may cause burns.
Be careful not to pinch your fingers in the gaps between parts, and not to hurt your hands and fingers on the corner of parts.
Do not use your PS5 console without the covers. Doing so may cause fire, electrical shock, injury, or malfunction. It may also cause the main unit of your console to overheat.
Do not place heavy items on the product, throw or drop the product, or otherwise expose it to strong physical impact.

Limitations of Liability

Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC (“SIE LLC”) warrants to the original purchaser that this product shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not apply to any consumables (such as batteries). For defects in material or workmanship within the warranty period, upon showing proof of purchase, SIE LLC agrees for one (1) year to either repair or replace this product with a new or factory-recertified product at SIE LLC’s option. For this Limited Warranty, “factory recertified” means a product that has been returned to its original specifications. Visit playstation.com/help or call 1-800-345-7669 to receive a return authorization and shipping instructions. As the original purchaser, you will be responsible for inbound shipping costs and any packaging materials required. SIE LLC will then return the repaired or replaced product at no cost to you including return shipping. This warranty shall not be applicable and shall be void if the defect in the SIE LLC product has arisen through abuse, unreasonable use, mistreatment, neglect, or means other than from a defect in materials or workmanship.

THIS WARRANTY IS INSTEAD OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES AND NO OTHER REPRESENTATIONS OR CLAIMS OF ANY NATURE SHALL BE BINDING ON OR OBLIGATE SIE LLC. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES APPLICABLE TO THIS PRODUCT, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED TO THE ONE (1) YEAR PERIOD DESCRIBED ABOVE. IN NO EVENT WILL SIE LLC BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM THE POSSESSION, USE OR MALFUNCTION OF THE SIE LLC PRODUCT? SOME STATE.
