Product Usage Instructions

Connecting the Soundbar

1. Use an optical cable or HDMI cable to connect the soundbar to your TV.
2. If using external devices, connect them to the soundbar or TV via HDMI cable.

Connecting Additional Components:

• If you have rear speakers (Sold separately, SPT8-S)
• Connect the rear speakers via a speaker cable.

Wireless Connectivity

To connect your smartphone to the soundbar wirelessly:

1. Connect your smartphone to Wi-Fi.
2. Install the LG Soundbar app on Google Play or the App Store.
3. Run the LG Soundbar app and follow the instructions to control the product.

To connect the product to your smartphone via Bluetooth:

1. Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone.
2. Press the Bluetooth pair button on the soundbar.
3. Select LG_Speaker_SG10TY_XXXX on your smartphone to establish a connection.

Troubleshooting

If you see a red LED on the wireless subwoofer or rear speaker

1. Turn off the soundbar.
2. Press the PAIRING button on the subwoofer or rear speaker until the LEDs blink green.
3. Turn on the soundbar. Green LED indicates a successful connection.

Important Notes

• Keep speakers away from devices causing interference.
• Select BASS BLAST sound mode for optimal experience.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

Q: What should I do if my rear speakers do not produce sound?

A: Ensure they are correctly connected via a speaker cable and select BASS BLAST+ sound mode for all speakers to function.

Q: How do I know if my smartphone is successfully connected via Bluetooth?

A: The status display on the soundbar will show “Connected Bluetooth device name [BT” when successfully paired.

Installing and Using the Product

• A Soundbar
• B Remote Control Receiver / Status Display
• C Rear Speakers (Sold separately, SPT8-S)
• D Wireless Subwoofer – Install it close to the soundbar.
• E External Device – (Blu-ray player, game console, etc.)

1. Connect the soundbar to your TV via an optical cable or an HDMI cable.

2. If you are using an external device (ex. Set-top box, Blu-ray player, game console, etc.), connect it to the soundbar or the TV via an HDMI cable.

   • If necessary, purchase HDMI cables, an optical cable, or a USB extension cable to connect the soundbar.

3. If you purchased the rear speakers separately, connect the rear speakers via a speaker cable. When connecting the rear speakers, connect the black striped cable to the negative terminal of each speaker and the remaining cable to the positive terminal of each speaker.

4. Connect to power in the following order: wireless subwoofer → rear speakers → Soundbar. Then, turn on the Soundbar.
   When the connection is automatically established with the Soundbar, the LEDs on the wireless subwoofer and the rear speakers will light up in green.

5. Using the product with your TV

6. Press the Function button repeatedly until “OPT/HDMI ARC” appears on the status display.

7. On your TV’s settings, set the output speaker to [HDMI ARC], [Optical], or [External Speaker].

8. When the TV is properly connected to the product, “OPT”, “ARC” “, or “E-ARC” will appear on the status display with a sound

  * You can enjoy the sound by connecting LG WOWCAST (Sold separately, WTP3) to the Soundbar wirelessly.

7. Connect your smartphone to Wi-Fi.
8. Install the LG Soundbar app on Google Play or the App Store.
9. Run the LG Soundbar app and follow the instructions.
10. The product will connect to your smartphone and you can control the product with the LG Soundbar app.
11. Connecting the product to your smartphone via Bluetooth
12. Tap the Settings button on your smartphone and select Bluetooth. Turn on the Bluetooth function. Off > On)
13. Press the Bluetooth pair button. After a moment, you will see “BT READY” on the status display.
14. Find and select “LG_Speaker_SG10TY_XXXX”,
15. When the product is connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth, you can see the status display change from “PAIRED” → “Connected Bluetooth device name” → “BT

• If you see a red LED on the wireless subwoofer or rear speaker, it means that the soundbar is not connected to the speakers.
• If this is the case, connect them in the following order
• Press the Power button on the soundbar to turn it off.
• Press the PAIRING button on the back of the wireless subwoofer or rear speaker. Check if each LED blinks green.
• If you still see a red LED on the wireless subwoofer, press and hold the button on the back of the subwoofer again.
• Press the Power button on the soundbar to turn it on.
• When the connection is established, you will see a green LED light on the wireless subwoofer or rear speaker light up.
• Keep the soundbar, the subwoofer, and rear speakers away from the device (ex. wireless router, microwave oven, etc.) over 1 m to prevent wireless interference.
• Some speakers may not make sound depending on the input source. Select BASS BLAST (BASS BLAST+) sound mode to listen through all speakers.
