Product Usage Instructions
Step 1: Align and Mark Drill Locations
- Align the drill template with the corner and outer edges of the cabinet.
- Mark the center of each black circle with a 1/4 inch center punch.
- Repeat alignment and marking if installing multiple upper tool cabinets.
Step 2: Drill Mounting Holes
For Stainless Steel Tops:
- Using a 5/16 inch drill bit, drill through the stainless steel layer at each marked location.
- Do not drill deeper than 1/4 inches with the 5/16 inch drill bit.
- Drill each location 1-1/4 inches deep with a 7/32 inch drill bit.
For Laminated Wood Tops:
- Drill each marked location 1-1/4 inches deep with a 7/32 inch drill bit.
Step 3: Remove Drawers and Carriages
Remove all drawers and carriages from the upper tool cabinet before proceeding
with installation.
FAQs
Q: What should I do if the top surface is warping?
A: If the top surface warps without a sturdy top, it can cause
misalignment and tilted drawers. Ensure to install a Tekton Stainless Steel,
Laminated Wood, or equivalently sturdy top for proper alignment.
Q: Can I use different sizes of upper tool cabinets with the same
installation process?
A: Yes, the installation process remains the same for different sizes of
upper tool cabinets. Simply adjust the alignment and marking according to the
specific cabinet size.

to install a Tekton Stainless Steel, Laminated Wood, or equivalently sturdy

RECOMMENDED TOOLS
INSTRUCTION
STEP 1: Align drill template and mark drill locations.
Align the drill template with the corner and outer edges of cabinet. Once aligned, mark the center of each black circle with a 1/4 inch center punch.
Repeat step A if installing multiple upper tool cabinets.
STEP 2: Remove marking template(s) and drill mounting holes.
Stainless Steel Tops
Using a 5/16 inch drill bit, drill through only the 1/8 inch thick stainless steel layer at each marked location.
Drill each location 1-1/4 inches deep with a 7/32 inch drill bit.
CAUTION
Do not drill deeper than 1/4 inches with 5/16 inch drill bit.
Laminated Wood Tops
Drill each marked location 1-1/4 inches deep with a 7/32 inch drill bit.
STEP 3: Remove all drawers and carriages from the upper tool cabinet.
To remove each drawer, pull it out to its fully open position, lift the front of the drawer upward, then lift the drawer up and out.
To remove the carriage, pull it straight out of the cabinet.
Repeat steps A and B for all upper tool cabinet drawers and carriages.
STEP 4: Place the upper tool cabinet on the cabinet top.
Lift upper tool cabinet and place it onto the tool cabinet.
CAUTION
We recommend having two people lift each upper tool cabinet to avoid injury
and damage to the product.
Align the upper tool cabinet with the appropriate drilled locations.
STEP 5: Insert screws into proper hole locations and tighten.
Insert each of the included 5/16 x 1-1/4 inch flanged hex screws into the pre- drilled holes and tighten down using a 3/8 inch drive x 1/2 inch socket.

STEP 6: Reinstall the carriages and drawers.
To install the carriage, orient the crossmembers downward and the angled portion of the bracket toward the cabinet. While inserting, align the carriage with channel mounts inside of cabinet.
To install the drawers, set the drawer slides onto the front bearings then push the drawer straight in.
