Assembly
- Apply some thread seal tape (H) around the angled outlet located on top of the main body (D). Take the spout (A) and check that its rubber gasket is well positioned. Screw the spout directly onto the taped outlet. Tighten the spout’s nut securely with your adjustable wrench (not included).
- Pull the plunger rod up from the top of the main body using your pliers (not included). Remove the upper bolt and pin from the lever (B), align the upper bolt hole in the lever with the hole on the plunger rod, and replace the bolt. Insert the pin through the bolt and pull its legs apart to secure it.
- Use the provided M5 bolt (E) and nut (F) to attach the lever’s lower bolt hole to the bracket on the main body. Securely fasten them with the provided wrenches (G).
- Apply thread seal tape to the threading on the telescoping suction tube (C). Screw the tube into the bung nut at the bottom of the main body. Use moderate torque and do not force or overtighten the parts.
Operation
- Open the bung on any standard 55-gallon drum. Adjust the telescoping suction tube by loosening the drum adapter, extending the tube as needed, and retightening the adapter.
- Insert the tube into the drum, fully immersing its lower end, and create a secure seal between the adapter and the edge of the bung, twisting the main body as needed. Do not disturb the lever during this process.
- Position your receiving container directly under the spout or connect the spout to the container using any suitable ¾ inch tube.
- Use the pump lever in steady controlled motions to begin transferring your fluid. To minimize waste, continue pumping until the pump goes dry. Alternatively, raise the pump and tube from the liquid and use the pump lever to empty the last bit of fluid still within the pump itself.
- After use, clean any fluid from the pump’s surfaces before putting it away.
