Product Usage Instructions
For Windows XP/Vista/7/8
- Insert the provided CD into your CD-ROM drive.
- Locate and double-click the file in the Driver folder to launch the setup program.
- Wait for the program to install the drivers.
- Click to complete the installation.
- Connect the GigaLAN Adapter’s USB end to a free USB port of your Desktop/NB/UltraNB.
For Mac 10.6 to 10.10:
- Insert the provided CD and double-click AX88179_Macintosh_xxxxx to launch the set-up procedure.
- Click to restart your computer automatically.
- Connect the GigaLAN Adapter to a free USB port.
- Check if the installation is completed by clicking System Preferences on the desktop/NB/UltraNB.
Generally, the driver would be installed automatically on Mac 10.6/10.7. If you can’t connect to the internet using DHCP, please install the provided driver following the instructions for Mac 10.6/10.7 installation. Now you can connect your network device (Switch, Router, DSL/Cable Modem) to the GigaLAN adapter’s LAN port via an Ethernet Cable.

Note DO NOT connect the GigaLAN Adapter to your Desktop/NB/UltraNB before completing the driver installation. This Quick Installation Guide describes only the basic instructions on installation. For more information, please refer to the User’s Manual on the provided CD.
Using Instruction
On Windows XP/Vista/7/8
- Insert the provided CD into your CD-ROM, Locate and double-click the <Setup.exe> file in the Driver folder to launch the setup program.
- Wait for the program to install the drivers.
- Click
to complete the installation. - Connect the GigaLAN Adapter’s USB end to a free USB port of your Desktop/NB/UltraNB. At this stage, different situations may occur according to your operation system.
On MAC 10.6 to 10.10
- Insert the provided CD and double-click “AX88179_Macintosh_xxxxx” to launch the set-up procedure.
- Click the

- You can click System Preferences on the desktop/NB/UltraNB to check if the installation is completed.
