Safety Instructions

IMPORTANT SAFETY CONCERN

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING

  • In the case of 120V 60Hz: The power supply must be a 15 Amp GFCI outlet.
  • The electrical cord must be connected to a GFCI outlet.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

DANGER – Improper use of the grounding plug can result in a risk of electric shock.

  • This product has a three-prong grounding plug, which must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded.
  • In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current.
  • If repair or replacement of the cord or plug is necessary, do not connect the grounding wire to either flat blade terminal.
  • The wire with insulation having an outer surface that is green with or without yellow stripes is the grounding wire.
  • Check with a qualified electrician or service person if the grounding instructions are not completely understood, or if in doubt as to whether the product is properly grounded.
  • This product is for use on a nominal 120V circuit and has a grounding plug that looks like the plug illustrated in Sketch A in Figure 1.
  • A temporary adapter, which looks like the adapter illustrated in sketches Band C, may be used to connect this plug to a 2-pole receptacle as shown in sketch B if a properly grounded outlet is not available.
  • The temporary adapter should be used only until a properly grounded outlet (sketch A) can be installed by a qualified electrician.
  • The green-coloured rigid ear, lug, or the like extending from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground such as a properly grounded outlet box cover.

How to check if the bidet fits on your toilet: Elongated Seat

  • This Bidet will fit on your existing toilet suite if the measurements of your pan are:
    • A: 520mm or above
    • B: Between 140-195mm
    • C: 340mm or above
    • D: 400mm or above

Round Seat

  • This Bidet will fit on your existing toilet suite if the measurements of your pan are:
    • A: 480mm or above
    • B: Between 140-195mm
    • C: 320mm or above*
    • D: 400mm or above

If 320mm, some porcelain may be visible. 330mm is the preferred size.

Installation

How to install

  1. Remove the seat from the existing toilet body.
    • Release the nuts, and then remove the seat and cover from it.
    • Keep the removed seat, cover and nuts in a safe place in case you need them for future use.
  2. Close the water feed valve by turning it clockwise, and then drain the toilet water tank out.AVYEL-AP-7-REM-Smart-Electric-Bidet-for-Toilet-Seat-FIG-1 \(9\)
  3. Remove the water feed pipe and then install a T-valve.
    • Keep the removed water feed pipe in a safe place in case you need it for future use.

  5. Fix the bracket onto the toilet first.
    • Adjust the seat and the front part of the toilet back and forth to correspond with the toilet before fastening the nuts.
  6. Push the main body toward the bracket completely.
    • Slide the bidet into the bracket until you hear a click.

  7. After installing the filter onto the T-valve, connect the bidet-use hose to the bidet body.

Remote control installation and setup

  1. Remove the adhesive protection to attach the remote control bracket.
  2. Clean the wall thoroughly, and then attach the bracket.AVYEL-AP-7-REM-Smart-Electric-Bidet-for-Toilet-Seat-FIG-1 \(13\)
  3. Remove the back cover from the remote and insert batteries accordingly. Close the back cover.
    • Caution: Failure to install the batteries properly could cause damage or failure of the remote control unit.
  4. Place the remote control in the bracket in the correct direction. Make sure you place it in correctly to avoid the remote control from falling out.AVYEL-AP-7-REM-Smart-Electric-Bidet-for-Toilet-Seat-FIG-1 \(14\)
  5. When the batteries die, all LEDS will blink and the remote will not work. Replace the batteries with new ones ( 4(AAA batteries).
    • Caution
    • Do not use old and new batteries together.

  6. If the unit does not work after replacing the batteries, unplug and wait for 3 seconds.
    • Plug in again, and the unit will be ready for use.
    • After replacing the batteries, the ID of the unit will be initialized as “00” (factory initialization ID), and its ID will be an equalized ID of the remote control that reaches the unit first.
    • This ID-assigning function will be needed to prevent signal interruption if more than 2 units are used in one place. In the case of using one unit only, the user can use the unit accordingly without setting.

Trial Operation

Order of Trial Operation

  1. Open the water feed valve by turning it anti-clockwise.

  3. Make sure that the logo light on the top turns on and the nozzle comes out and retracts when powered on.
    • Don’t plug the power cord with wet hands. Risk of electric shock.
  4. Place your hand on the user sensor part of the seat. Check if the water pressure lights turn on and water comes out from the drain hole for 1-2 seconds.AVYEL-AP-7-REM-Smart-Electric-Bidet-for-Toilet-Seat-FIG-1 \(18\)

Disassembly of Product

How to disassemble

  1. Remove the power plug from the outlet.
  2. Close the water feed valve by turning it clockwise, completely drain out the toilet water tank, release the nuts at the bidet body of the bidet hose, and then remove them from the main body.AVYEL-AP-7-REM-Smart-Electric-Bidet-for-Toilet-Seat-FIG-1 \(19\)
  3. Press the release button on the side of the bidet and completely drain the water out from the main body. While continuously pressing the release button, pull the main body forward and remove it from the toilet.
  4. Release the nuts, and then remove the brackets from the toilet.
  5. Remove the bidet hose, toilet-use hose, and T-valve.

  7. Open the water feed valve by turning it anti-clockwise. Be sure of no leakage around the water feed connection.

How to Use the Product Basic Operation Method

  1. Sit on the toilet seat.
    • The deodorization function starts automatically.
    • When sitting on the toilet seat, be seated so the user sensor is to be occupied.
    • Otherwise, it may not operate normally due to a detection problem.
  2. Wash, Bidet, Enema
    • Selected functions can be used as described.
    • When pressing the selected function again, the nozzle will move back and forth to wash a wider range.
    • Press the button once again to stop the Massage function.

  3. Press the DRY Button.
    • The hot air indicator light will turn on. (5 levels available) The selected function may be used for three (3) minutes.
    • The dryer temperature is adjustable by pressing “+” and “-” buttons.”
    • The drying effect will be improved if you wipe the moisture lightly before operating the drying function.
  4. Press the STOP Button.
    • Selected functions stop.

  5. MASSAGE Wash
    • When pressing the MASSAGE button during the operation of WASH and BIDET, the nozzle location will be changed back and forth to wash the wider range.
    • When pressing the CHILD button during the operation of MASSAGE, the moving distance can be adjusted within 5 steps.
    • MASSAGE function will not operate during the operation of ENEMA WASH.
  6. PULSE Wash

  7. Water Pressure Control
    • Pressing +/ – button enables control of the water pressure.
    • When any foreign material blocks the water Regularly check for elone eater pressure.
  8. Nozzle Position Control
    • During the operation of WASH, BIDET and ENEMA WASH, the Nozzle position can be controlled by pressing.
    1. After enema wash, eliminate the water from your rectum.
    2. If the concentrated water stream is not pointing at the centre of the posterior, it may cause pain and water may splash abnormally.
    3. If an anal disease patient uses the enema function, it may cause pain or bleeding for the first several times.
    4. Excessive use of enema wash may aggravate constipation.
  9. CHILD Function
    • When used by a child, press the CHILD button first (the CHILD function lamp behind the operation panel will light on), use the WASH and BIDET function
    • The nozzle will move forward and the water pressure will weaken for the child.
    • Nozzle position and water pressure can be adjusted at 5 different levels as desired.
    • When selecting the CHILD function, the control range of the seat temperature will drop to room temperature. 93°F/96°F/100°F
    • The enema function will not operate during the use of the CHILD function.
  10. Seat Temperature Control
    • When pressing the SEAT TEMP button, the seat temperature can be adjusted within the options of  room temperature,93°F/100°F/107°F
  11. WATER TEMP CONTROL
    • When pressing the WATER TEMP. CONTROL button, the temperature of water can be controlled within the range of room temperature, 93°F/96°F/100°F
  12. Energy saving modes
    • Automatic energy-saving mode
    • This mode will be activated by pressing the Energy Saving button until the yellow LED lamp lights on.
    • Seat will be kept at 32°C.
    • Smart energy-saving mode
    • This mode will be activated by pressing the Energy Saving button until the green LED lights are on.
    • The seat temperature will be kept at 32C when it is not occupied, and the temperature back to the preset level according to the memorized time of use.
    • It may take 5 ~ 7 days to let the unit memorize the usage pattern.
    • Off mode
    • Press the Energy Saving button until the LED is off to release the energy-saving modes.
    • This unit adopts the instant heating technology for water heating and does not consume energy for water heating when it is in standby mode.
  13. Deodorizing function
    • When seated on the seat, the deodorizing function automatically starts.
    • The speed of the deodorizing fan can be controlled. (refer to the User setting facilities, P.22)
    • After the usage of the bidet, the deodorizing function will operate for one (1) minute.
  14. Low-temperature burn protection
    • To reduce the chance of low-temperature burns, the seat has a seat heater auto adjustment function which turns to low temperature (32 C) when someone sits on the seat for more than 15 minutes consecutively.
  15. OPERATION
    • USER PRESET
    • Nozzle position, water pressure, and dryer/water/seat temperatures can be preset and stored for 2 different users. Wash and dry functions can only be set while seated on the unit.
    • SETTING PRESET 1: Set position, pressure, dryer/water/seat temperature to preference. Press STOP and FORWARD NOZZLE POSITION at the same time for 3 seconds. Press STOP or just wait. The red light will blink for 5 seconds.
    • SETTING PRESET 2: Set position, pressure, dryer/water/seat temperature to preference. Press STOP and BACKWARD NOZZLE POSITION at the same time for 3 seconds. Press STOP or just wait. The red light will blink for 5 seconds.
    • NOTE: Changing batteries will not retain remote settings.
    • CHOOSING USER PRESET
    • Press selected preset user 1 or 2 on top to activate the preset nozzle position, water pressure, and temperatures.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Cleaning of Water pipe filter

  1. Close the water feed valve by turning it clockwise.
  2. Disconnect the water hose. Take the screen filter out and clean it with a soft brush. (e.g.toothbrush)
  3. After cleaning, place it back. Then connect the water hose.
  4. Open the water feed valve by turning it anti-clockwise.

Cleaning of Nozzle

  1. Press the WASH button for 3 seconds, and then the nozzle will move forward and stop (for 2 minutes)
  2. Clean the nozzle with a soft brush. When done cleaning, press the STOP button. The nozzle will then retract for self-cleaning.

Cleaning of Bidet Body

  1. The exterior surface of the bidet is made of plastic material, which may be damaged by scrubber, chemicals, etc.
  2. Wipe the surface with a soft wet cloth that is squeezed completely. Do not spray water directly onto the surface with a shower device.
  3. Clean the body after removing the power plug from the outlet. Be sure no water gets on the power plug or outlet.
  4. Don’t touch the power outlet with a wet hand. Risk of electric shock.

Drainage of water heater unit

  1. Remove the power plug from the outlet.
  2. Close the water feed valve by turning it anti-clockwise.
  3. Press the button on the side of the main body.

Maintenance during the winter season

  1. Insert the power plug into the outlet and be sure the power is supplied.
  2. When it is not used for a long time, drain the water from the water tank.

WARRANTY INFORMATION WARRANTY
