SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS
To ensure your personal and property safety when installing this product, please read the instructions of related symbols carefully before installation.
Danger
- Installation and maintenance must be performed by professional personnel in accordance with local standards and regulations.
- The SAR-100 must be disconnected from the inverter and power grid before installation and maintenance to prevent electric shock.
- When working, do not touch the internal components and cables and other live parts to avoid electric shock.
Warning
- Ensure that the input voltage and current are consistent with the rated voltage and current. Otherwise, the components will be damaged or cannot work properly.
- The AC input port supports only the three-phase and four-wire power grid.

Use environment
Device installation
Installation precautions
Power off the device before installation.
Connect the inverter through RS485, please use daisy-chain connection method.
Only support one low-voltage bus and inverters under the same low-voltage bus, which means does not support inverters under different low-voltage buses.
Installation clearance
Installation SAR-100
- Select a right (firm & flat) place to install the device;
- Determine the hole position according to the hole size of the Mounting hook
- Fixed the SAR-100 to the wall with the expansion screws in the Packing list
SAR-100 wiring
Danger
- Power off before connecting cables.
- Wiring must confirm the correct wiring, wiring firmly, and then energize.
- All equipment is reliably grounded.

Outgoing line/External connection:Please refer to the following figure for external connection
- Connect to Inverter
The max. number of inverters that SAR-100 can connect to is 10. Baud rate for all inverters: 9600.
If the RS485 link communication is abnormal, please connect a 120Ω resistor between A and B point of the last inverter.
A is RS485+ and B is RS485-.
Inverter modbus address should be configured starting from 002, it is recommended to use continuous address as 002-011.
- Connect to Inverter
RS485 communication cables:
RS485 communication cables are recommended to use Shielded twisted pair cable with a conductor cross-sectional area of ≤2mm².

Connect to CT and AC line
CT of Meter 1 should be selected according to the electricity consumption capacity. The CT of Meter 1 should be installed in the direction from the grid to the inverter.
CT of Meter 2 should be selected according to the plant capacity. The CT of Meter 2 should be installed in the direction from the inverter to the grid.
The communication distance between the CT and the meter should be less than 10m.

Replace External Antenna
Unscrew the original small antenna of DIN-Rail logger and install the extension antenna.(As shown in the picture below).

Ethernet Connection
If the networking method is a wired connection, connect the Ethernet cable (As shown in the picture below).
PARAMETER CONFIGURATION

Login to the web page
The phone/computer connects to the Wi-Fi with the name AP_XXXXXXXXX and logs in to the WEB page with the IP address 0.10.100.254, with the username admin and password admin (XXXXXXXXX means logger SN, and as shown in the picture below).
Note: Before all configurations, make sure that the firmware for the SAR-100 and the inverter is up to date. Refer to the user manual for SAR-100 firmware upgrade operations. -
Feed-in Limitation Settings
Click “Start” on the “Wizard” page to enter the Feed-in Limitation setting page.

Network Setting
You can choose one of the Wi-Fi and Ethernet networking methods as appropriate.
Wi-Fi connection：Select “Wireless connection” and click “next” to go to the next page.
Click “OK”. Re-enter your password to log in after the setup is complete.
Ethernet connection：Select “Cable connection” and click “next” to go to the next page. The next steps are the same as the last three steps for a Wi-Fi connection. -
Check the system information
If the page prompts “wrong” or “abnormal”, you need to check the appropriate setting items.
PLANT MANAGEMENT
After the parameter configuration is completed, the plant can be built. The steps to build the plant are: Download APP, add devices, and set parameters for the plant. Please refer to the user manual for detailed steps.
Q＆A
Q: What should I do if the web page prompts CT installation direction wrong?
A: Please turn on the load first. If after turning on the load, the page still
prompts CT installation direction wrong. Please
reverse the CT installation direction.
Q: What should I do if the web page prompts RS485 communication stability abnormal?
A: Make sure the RS485 is using daisy-chain method and the RS485 terminals of each inverter are connected correctly.
Q: How to judge whether the feed-in limitation is effective?
A: Login to Solarman APP. When the sun is strong, the power of generation would be lower than power of consumption.
Q: How to check if the feed-in limitation is not working properly?
A: Make sure each terminal is tightly pressed and will not be loosened;
make sure there is no abnormal prompt in status
page; set CT ratio correctly; set number of inverters correctly.
Q: Feed-in Limitation box is offline?
A： It is recommended that you use an Ethernet cable to connect the SAR-100 to the router and check that the router’s Internet access is functioning properly. Please confirm whether the firewall has network restrictions. If there is network restriction, please add the following domain name s to whitelist: Domain name 1: access1.solarmanpv.com, port 10000. Domain name 2: access2.solarmanpv.com, port 10000, Domain name 3: access3.solarmanpv.com, port 10000.
