- Predrill a hole and insert the Molly bolt into it.
- Back the screw out about 1/4 and load the screw into the setting tool.
- Squeeze the handles to compress. When correctly inserted, the screw can be removed from the anchor.
Notes:
- The piece that pulls the screw head is cut in a V shape, so smaller screws work. Ensure the shaft of the screw is fully down into the V.
- The thickness of the workpiece should be within the anchor’s grip range to ensure proper tightening.
- If the anchor is not secure behind the wall, screw it clockwise to bring it closer to the anchor, then squeeze the handles until secure.

Use of Hollow Wall Anchor Tool
- Predrill a hole and insert the Molly bolt into it.
- Back the screw out about 1/4″ and load the screw into the setting tool.
- Squeezing the handles to compress. When correctly inserted, the screw can be removed from the anchor.
Notes:
- The piece that pulls the screw head is cut in a “V” shape, so smaller screws work. It’s just a little easier to lose your grip on them if you’re not careful. You have to be sure the shaft of the screw is down into the V.
- The thickness of the workpiece should be in the range of the grip of the anchor, otherwise, the anchor will not be tightened up behind the wall.
- For bigger hollow wall anchors, if the anchor is not secure behind the wall, please screw the screw clockwise to let it go closer to the anchor, then squeeze the handles until the anchor is secure.
