OBRO SW-02 Dual Band WiFi Range Extender

Quick Setup Using Your Phone

  1. Plug the extender into an electrical outlet near your router.

  2. On your phone, go to Settings > Wifi and select either the Wi-Fi name “WiFi-Extender” or “WiFi-Extender-5G.”

  3. Open any browser window and enter 192.168.0.254 in the address bar and select “Repeater Mode.”

  1. Select your router’s primary network (2.4GHz or 5GHz).

  2. Enter the same Wi-Fi password as your primary router then click “Connect.”

If the LED on the extender shows solid green, the connection was successful.

Note: : If the connection was not successful, go to the FAQs on Page 5.

Note: The Extender’s default name is the same as your primary Wi-Fi’s router. You may keep that name or assign a new one to the Extender. To create a unique Wi-Fi name for the Extender, please click “Modify Wi-Fi name & Password of Extender Wi-Fi.”

Improving Your Results

Green LED:

Step 1
Adjust the antennas to see if you can improve the signal.

Move the extender to another location.
Look for a location that gives you a green light.

Step 3

Make sure you have reduced any potential interference, such as microwave ovens, Bluetooth devices, large obstacles, and heat sources close to the extender. Extreme weather conditions and poor ventilation can affect the extender’s performance.| |

Frequently asked questions

How can I set up the extender by using a Web browser?

on, connect the computer to the router using a network cable (or through wireless connection). In the address bar of your chosen browser enter 192.168.0.254, which will take you to the configuration interface; choose the repeater mode on this configuration page. Next, select the Wi-Fi name the main Wi-Fi router and enter the password; then click “Connect” and it will start relaying.

To modify the network name and password, please choose “Modify Wi-Fi name & Password of extended Wi-Fi” and then enter new Wi-Fi name and password in the textbox.

What should I do if I cannot access the extender’s configuration interface on my phone?

A1: Make sure your phone is connected to the extenders’ network.
A2: Verify that 192.168.0.254 is correctly entered in the phone’s browser.
A3 : Reset the extender and try again.

Does this extender support both 2.4G and 5G signal extension simultaneously?

A: No, it doesn’t. You can only connect to one of them.

How to reset extender?

A: Press and hold the “Reset” button for 10 seconds and wait for 30 seconds to reset the extender back to its factory default settings.

Press and hold this button for more than 10 seconds to reset the extender to its default factory settings.

2.4G WPS Button & SGWPS Button

After initiating the WPS function on the router, press the WPS 2.4G or 5G button for 5 seconds on the extender to enable it to connect to the wireless router.

Solid LED on: The extender is on

Off: The extender is off

Flashes every 2 seconds: The extender is working properly

Flash rapidly: After pressing the RST button for 5 seconds

Solid LED on: It will remain solid for 2 minutes after pressing WPS button

Green LED on: Signal quality on 5GHz band is best

Orange LED on: Signal quality on 5GHz band is not so good

Step 1
Plug the Extender into a power outlet near your Router and wait for it to power up.

Step2
Press the 2.4GHz or 5GHz WPS button on the Extender for 5 seconds. The CPU LED should change to a solid color and you should then press the WPS button on your Router.

Step 3
Wait 1 minute. When the 2.4G/5G green LED remains solid the Extender is connected to your Router.

Step4
You can move the Extender anywhere as long as it is within the Router’s wireless signal range.
