SAFE HANDLING OF AIRGUNS

Learn how to handle your airgun safely and properly. Remember that according to the basic rules of safety, touching an airgun is the same as handling it.

  • You and others with you MUST always wear shooting glasses to protect your eyes. If you wear reading glasses, the lenses must be certified for impact resistance or you should wear safety glasses intended for use over normal optical reading glasses.
  • Always aim in a SAFE DIRECTION. Always keep the muzzle of the airgun pointed in a SAFE DIRECTION.
  • Always keep your finger off the trigger and out of the trigger guard until ready to shoot.
  • Never point the airgun at anything you do not intend to shoot.
  • Always treat the airgun as though it is loaded and with the same respect, you would a firearm.
  • Never look down the barrel of an airgun.
  • Always keep the airgun “ON SAFE” until you are ready to shoot.
  • Always check to see if the airgun is “ON SAFE” and unloaded when getting it from another person or from storage.
  • Use only the proper size and type of projectile.
  • Never reuse ammunition.
  • Do not shoot at hard surfaces or at the surface of water. The projectile may bounce off or ricochet and hit someone or something you had not intended to hit.
  • Do not shoot at fragile objects such as windows.
  • Place the backstop in a location that will be safe should the backstop fail.
  • Your backstop should be checked for wear before and after each use. All backstops are subject to wear and will eventually fail. Replace your backstop if the surface is worn or damaged or if a ricochet occurs.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or tamper with your airgun. Unauthorized repairs or modifying the function of your airgun in any way may be unsafe and will void your warranty.
  • Before you store your airgun, make sure it is unloaded, the air is released from the compressed air reservoir, and the airgun is “ON SAFE.”

TECHNICAL DATA

WARNING
Misuse or careless use of this airgun can cause serious injury or death. Read and follow the instructions carefully. Do not load a projectile into the airgun until you are ready to shoot. If you do load a projectile and then decide not to shoot, remove it either manually or by shooting the airgun at a safe target. Accidents happen fast, please handle the airgun safely. Shooting the Hammer with a cracked barrel shroud may rupture the shroud and cause serious injury or death. Therefore, before each use, inspect the barrel shroud for cracks. Also, inspect the barrel shroud if the Hammer is dropped. If cracks are visible, do not shoot the Hammer. The barrel shroud is carbon fiber glass composite and temporarily pressurized when the Hammer is fired. Call Umarex USA to order a replacement shroud.

CAUTION
The components of this airgun were engineered and manufactured to deliver optimum performance. Any modification or tampering with an airgun may cause a malfunction, void your warranty and may make it unsafe to use. Any change in performance (such as a lowered trigger pull force and shortened trigger travel) indicates possible modification, tampering and/or wear. Such an air rifle should be inspected, replaced, or properly repaired by only qualified Umarex USA personnel. Any airgun that has been dropped should be checked by qualified personnel to ensure that its function has not been affected.

WARNING
Be sure the airgun is always pointed in a safe direction. Never point the airgun at any pet or person even if it is uncocked and unloaded. Always assume and handle the airgun as if it were loaded and ready to fire.

OPERATING THE SAFETIES

CAUTION
Like all mechanical devices, an airgun safety can fail. Even when the safety is “ON SAFE,” you should continue to handle the airgun safely. Never point the airgun at anything you do not intend to shoot.

CAUTION
Before you put your air rifle “OFF SAFE,” be certain that your air rifle is pointed in a safe direction and that you are ready to fire.

CAUTION
Only transport the airgun when it is unloaded and uncocked and when the safeties are engaged. Always make sure that the muzzle points in a safe direction.

MANUAL SAFETY

UMAREX-2252635-Hammer-50-Caliber-PCP-Pellet-Gun-Air-Rifle-
FIG-4

The Umarex Hammer has the safety as shown in Illustration 2.

  • To put “ON SAFE,” pull the safety lever rearward, away from the trigger (Illustration 2a).
  • To put “OFF SAFE” (on fire), flip the safety lever forward towards the trigger. (Illustration 2b). Remember, forward = fire.

MAGAZINE FLOOR PLATE SAFETY

WARNING
Never fire the gun without the magazine inserted. Firing the gun without the magazine inserted can cause serious injury. Never manipulate the magazine floor plate safety to disengage the safety. Only use the supplied magazine to disengage the magazine safety. The magazine must be fully inserted. The magazine floor plate safety is designed to prevent the air rifle from firing when the magazine well floor plate is not depressed by the magazine. Inserting the magazine will turn this safety mechanism off without any further action.

FIELD SAFETY
The field safety bolt screw hole is located on the right side of the cheekpiece. It is intended for use anytime you are not actively shooting. Insert and turn the field safety bolt screw clockwise until snug to activate the safety (Illustration 2c). This prevents and blocks the Umarex Hammer from functioning.

NOTICE
The field safety can be backed all the way out of the Hammer. If this happens, simply reinsert and screw the field safety bolt screw back in until snug. If the field safety bolt screw is partially inserted and you can see the RED O-RING (Illustration 2d), then the Hammer can fire.

CHARGING YOUR AIR RIFLE

NOTICE The Umarex Hammer air rifle is equipped with a compressed air reservoir which is approved for compressed air up to 4500 psi. This reservoir can be filled at any time using the supplied fill port. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE THE AIR RESERVOIR.

WARNING
Do not overfill the reservoir. Excessive pressure can damage the airgun and may lead to a reservoir rupture which can cause injury or death.

WARNING
Only use compressed dry air or nitrogen in this airgun. Using other gases, including pure oxygen, may result in damage to the airgun and can cause an explosion that may cause injury or death.

WARNING
Before removing the filling hose, always bleed the air from the hose using the valve on the pump. Not doing so can result in the hose whipping around, which can cause injury or property damage.

WARNING
Never put your face, hands, or any part of your body next to or in front of the magazine well. Keep hands and face away from degassing screw. Treat the magazine well and degas screw as you would the muzzle of the rifle. High pressure air escaping from these areas can cause serious injury or death. Never rely on safeties. Always keep an empty magazine in the airgun when pressurized with air.

WARNING
Petroleum-based lubricant must not be used in or with the compressed gas reservoir. DO NOT use oxygen. Oxygen under pressure can react violently with petroleum-based products, resulting in explosions, fire, damage to property, and severe injury or death.

WARNING
The compressed air reservoir is not removable. It is a fixed, integral part of the gun. DO NOT attempt to remove it. Removing the reservoir voids the warranty and may lead to serious injury.

NOTICE
Firing the airgun without sufficient reservoir pressure can result in a projectile jammed in the barrel.

READING YOUR AIRGUN’S AIR RESERVOIR PRESSURE GAUGE
The pressure in the compressed air reservoir can be read on the built-in pressure gauge. The gauge has an accuracy of 10%. Temperature variations can also affect the level shown. For most accurate readings during filling, consult the built-in gauge of the tank, compressor, or hand pump if available.

CAUTION
Check the pressure level indicator of the compressed air reservoir only when your air rifle is unloaded and uncocked and when the safety is engaged.

Muzzle velocity should remain consistent until the Umarex Hammer compressed air reservoir pressure falls below 3,000 psi. To maintain velocity, refill the reservoir when it enters the ‘Low Pressure’ zone on the gauge.

FILLING THE AIRGUN RESERVOIR WITH A HIGH-PRESSURE TANK/COMPRESSOR

Make sure the airgun is unloaded, ON SAFE, the field safety is engaged, it is undocked, has an empty magazine inserted, and is pointed in a safe direction. Remove the cap on the air reservoir fill port and connect the high pressure tank or bottle quick-connect fitting to the fill port (Illustration 3b). Slowly open the valve on the high-pressure tank or bottle and begin filling the air reservoir.

NOTE: When using a compressor or slow-fill SCBA tank on a gun free of air, expect air to leak out until the pressure reaches around 500-1000 PSI to completely seat the seals. This is normal and not indicative of an issue. Continue filling until the pressure gauge on the air reservoir indicates 4500 psi (IllustrationUMAREX-2252635-Hammer-50-Caliber-PCP-Pellet-Gun-Air-Rifle-
FIG-7

  • DO NOT OVERFILL. Once the desired pressure is reached, bleed the high-pressure tank bottle hose and disconnect it from the air reservoir. NOTE: If air hose is not bled before disconnecting, the hose may whip when disconnected and could result in injury or property damage. Replace fill port cap when finished.

CAUTION
When refilling, use only oil- and water-free compressed air (DIN EN 12021 – breathing air) or nitrogen with a maximum pressure of 4500 PSI (310 bar). Never expose a filled pressure reservoir to a temperature above 122°F (50° C). Do not make alterations to the compressed air reservoir or its valves. Observe applicable national statutory regulations for refilling. Do not refill an air reservoir that leaks or appears unsafe. Empty it safely.

FILLING THE AIR RESERVOIR WITH A HAND PUMP

NOTICE Air will leak out of internal seals until the air reservoir pressure reaches around 500-1000 psi. For this reason, we recommend that if you are using a hand pump, it should be used only to top off the air reservoir when at pressures at or above 1000 psi. Do not use a hand pump to fill the tank from 0 psi. Make sure the airgun is unloaded, ON SAFE, and pointed in a safe direction. Remove the cap on the air reservoir fill port and connect the hand pump quick-connect fitting to the fill port (Illustration 3b). Begin pumping. Continue until the pressure gauge on the air reservoir indicates that you are at 4500 psi (Illustration 3c). DO NOT OVERFILL. Once the desired pressure is reached, bleed the air hose and disconnect the air hose from the reservoir.

NOTE: If the air hose is not bled before disconnecting, the hose may whip when disconnected and could result in injury or property damage. During prolonged pumping, the pump and air reservoir will become uncomfortably warm. Stop pumping and allow everything to cool to room temperature before continuing. Replace the fill port cap when finished. Follow the manufacturer’s hand pump instructions.

CAUTION
Only use a hand pump specifically designed for pre-charging high-pressure reservoirs capable of filling up to 4,500 psi and that is fitted with a foster

12FS quick disconnect attachment.

DEGASSING YOUR AIR RIFLE

WARNING
Never put your face, hands, or any part of your body next to or in front of the magazine well. Keep hands and face away from degassing screw. Treat the magazine well and degas screw as you would the muzzle of the rifle. High- pressure air escaping from these areas can cause serious injury or death. Never rely on safeties. Always keep an empty magazine in the airgun when pressurized with air.

NOTICE
The air rifle must be fired or “unseated” to degas Illustration 4 the air reservoir. Be certain there is NOT a projectile in the barrel before degassing the air rifle. The magazine must be unloaded AND inserted into the mag well. Make sure the airgun is unloaded, uncocked, ON SAFE, and pointed in a safe direction. Verify there are NO projectiles in the magazine and insert it into the airgun. Locate the degas screw on the bottom of the airgun (see Illustration 4) and slowly turn it counter-clockwise until you hear the pressurized air begin to vent. DO NOT CONTINUE TO TURN THE DEGAS SCREW. Allow it to vent slowly. Once you no longer hear gas venting, tighten the degas screw by turning it clockwise, double-check to make sure the airgun is not loaded, re-insert the empty magazine, cock the airgun, point in a safe direction, put OFF SAFE and pull the trigger to remove residual gas pressure in the airgun. While continuing to point in a safe direction, put ON SAFE and make sure the air reservoir pressure gauge shows no pressure in the reservoir.

HANDLING & CARE OF AIR RESERVOIRS

WARNING
The air used must comply with din 3188 (breathing air). Do not store the compressed air reservoir at temperatures above 122°F (50°C). Always adhere to the warnings and safety instructions of the manufacturer concerning the handling and storage of the compressed air reservoir.

WARNING
Compressed air reservoirs may explode at temperatures above 122°F (50° C). Do not mutilate or incinerate them. Do not expose compressed air reservoirs to temperatures above 50°C (122°F), such as in a vehicle parked in the sun.

CAUTION
Compressed air reservoirs which are leaky, damaged or more than 10 years old should be emptied safely and not used or filled again. Ten years after the manufacturing date, the compressed air reservoir must be tested at the owner’s expense or replaced. The manufacturing date is recorded on the reservoir. UMAREX USA does not test compressed air reservoirs.

  • If your compressed air reservoir needs repair, call Umarex USA 479-646-4210 and ask for the Service Department or visit www.umarexusa.com. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DISASSEMBLE IT! Your compressed air reservoir requires special tools and fixtures to repair it. Any disassembly or modification not performed by Umarex USA will void the warranty.
  • Do not alter the surface of the compressed air reservoir. In particular, do not engrave it or apply abrasives. This can damage the reservoir and create a safety risk.
  • Inspect the compressed air reservoir for cracks and damage before each use.
  • Protect the compressed air reservoir against damage of any kind. The compressed air reservoir has a service life of 10 years. UMAREX USA does not test compressed air reservoirs. To find a D.O.T.-approved testing facility, do a web search for ‘D.O.T. hydrostatic testing. Certain conditions may affect the air reservoir, which can impact its proper performance. These conditions include the usage, maintenance and storage at temperatures that are higher or lower than normal outdoor temperatures (60°-80° F/16°-27° C) and when rapidly firing the airgun.
  1. High temperatures can increase pressure in the air reservoir and also within the airgun, leading to higher than standard operating pressure. This excess pressure could cause the airgun to malfunction or be permanently damaged. Maximum storage or operation temperature should never exceed 122°F (50°C). This temperature can be reached if you leave the airgun under direct sunlight on a bright day. Thus, to ensure proper airgun operation, do not expose it to high temperatures or direct sunlight for long periods of time. Otherwise, the air reservoir could overheat and explode, which could damage the airgun and cause injuries or death to people around it.
  2. Care should be exercised to ensure that the airgun is not shot with an air reservoir that is low in pressure. Here are some indicators of insufficient pressure:
    • The sound of the shot is not as loud as when the reservoir is full.
    • The projectile hits the target, but in a lower position than it would with a full air reservoir (that is, the velocity has dropped).

WARNING
Keep your fingers away from the trigger when loading the magazine!

WARNING
Never load the Umarex Hammer while it is cocked.

Make sure the airgun is ON SAFE, the field safety screw is engaged, and that the bolt has been pulled back halfway on its track (Illustration 5a). Identify the front and back of the magazine (Illustrations 5b & 5c).Insert ammunition front first into the REAR of the magazine (Illustration 5d), making sure that any loaded projectile is completely contained inside the magazine as shown in Illustration 5e.Once the projectiles have been correctly inserted, make certain there is no debris in the magazine well, then load the magazine into the left side of the Umarex Hammer with the front of the magazine facing toward the muzzle (Illustration 5f). To correctly insert the magazine, depress the magazine floor plate safety with the lip of the magazine (Illustration 5g) and insert the magazine, making sure to line up the dovetail grooves of the magazine with the rails in the magazine well (Illustration 5h). Due to the precision alignment of the mechanisms. this may take some practice. Once

the magazine has been correctly inserted, push the magazine all the way into the airgun as shown in Illustration 5i.

NOTE: The airgun is now loaded. Keep ON SAFE and make sure the airgun is pointed in a safe direction at all times.

CAUTION
Always check for and remove any debris in the magazine well before inserting a magazine into the Hammer. Debris may cause misalignment that will affect accuracy.

CAUTION
The magazine must be pushed into the airgun. Do not shoot a round out of the right chamber of the magazine on the first shot. The magazine must be fully inserted for the magazine to properly index.

WARNING
Never carry your air rifle while cocked and/or while loaded. It is best to cock the air rifle only before shooting.

WARNING
Use only sized .510″ diameter lead airgun projectiles. Do not attempt to reuse projectiles that have been fired or are deformed. Do not use buck shot, darts, ball bearings, or other foreign objects because they can cause injury to you or someone else or may damage and/or jam the airgun. Do not use sabots.

AIMING AT A SAFE TARGET

ALWAYS BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT. Never shoot at a sound, flash of color, or movement. A camouflaged hunter can easily be mistaken for a target. Always be sure of where the projectile will strike and shoot only where there is a safe backstop free of obstructions, water, or other surfaces that can cause ricochets. Be sure your projectile will stop behind your target. Projectiles can ricochet off many surfaces like rocks or surface water and travel in unpredictable directions with considerable velocity. Do not fire randomly into the sky.

FIRING YOUR AIRGUN

WARNING
Never put face, hands, or any part of your body next to or in front of the magazine well. Keep hands and face away from degassing screws. Treat the magazine well and degas screw as you would the muzzle of the rifle. High- pressure air escaping from these areas can cause serious injury or death. Never rely on safeties. Always keep an empty magazine in the airgun when pressurized with air.

NOTICE
It is normal for some air to escape from the magazine well during firing. When you are sure your air rifle is aimed at a safe target and vou are ready to fire all the bolt handles all the way rearward to cock the gun and PUSH IT ALL THE WAY FORWARD to automatically align the magazine. Put your air rifle “OFF SAFE” (see Section 2. Operating the Safety), and then squeeze the trigger.

NOTICE Many factors affect airgun performance and velocity, including the brand of the projectile, lubrication, barrel condition, and temperature. To cycle into the next shot, grasp the bolt handle firmly, avoiding contact with the trigger, pull the bolt handle all the way rearward (illustration 6a), and THEN PUSH IT ALL THE WAY FORWARD (Illustration 6b). Take aim and squeeze the trigger (Illustration 6c).UMAREX-2252635-Hammer-50-Caliber-PCP-Pellet-Gun-
Air-Rifle-FIG-14

NOTE: It is normal to feel air escape from the valve vents and magazines well when firing the Umarex Hammer. Check the tightness of the barrel shroud and muzzle cap before and after shooting to maintain accuracy. If loose, wear a glove and hand-tighten clockwise. When filled at 4,500 psi the Umarex Hammer will produce three full power shots and a fourth shot at 90%. For the best results, it is recommended to refill the air reservoir after the third consecutive shot.

NOTICE
The Umarex Hammer is engineered to automatically degas itself with the fifth consecutive shot if pressure is at 4,500 psi before shooting. To refill with air, first follow degassing procedures (see Section 4). Then make sure it is pointed in a safe direction, on safe, it is unloaded and an empty magazine is inserted in the magazine well. Verify it is unloaded and pointed in a safe direction. Cock the rifle and dry fire it. Dry firing resets the valve. Refill the gun with air (see Section 3B). If air continues to leak from the barrel, repeat the process.

CAUTION
Every time the bolt is pushed forward, the magazine will index and the airgun is ready to fire.

WARNING
If a projectile does not fire after completing the operation steps, the airgun may be jammed. An unfired projectile in the barrel can be a dangerous situation. Keep the airgun pointed in a safe direction, put it on safe, and evacuate all compressed air. Call UMAREX USA to arrange service.

REMOVING THE MAGAZINE

WARNING
When cocking the air rifle do not place your hand over or in front of the muzzle. Never allow the muzzle to point toward you or anyone else during cocking. Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.

WARNING
Never assume that because the airgun no longer fires a projectile that a projectile is not lodged in the barrel. Always treat the airgun as though it is loaded and with the same respect you would a firearm.Once you’ve emptied the magazine, put your airgun on safe and point it in a SAFE DIRECTION. Slide the bolt rearward until it is halfway on its track (Illustration 7a). Then push and hold the magazine release lever forward (Illustration 7b). While holding the magazine release lever forward, grasp the magazine on the left side and pull it free from the airgun.UMAREX-2252635-Hammer-50-Caliber-PCP-

REMOVING THE MAGPUL® GRIP

To remove the Magpul® grip, locate the screw in the underside cavity of the grip as shown in Illustration 8, insert a slotted screwdriver or 3/16 Allen wrench, and turn the screw counter-clockwise until the screw is completely removed. Pull the grip free.

TROUBLESHOOTING

WARNING
Always keep an empty magazine and the field safety bolt screw in the Umarex Hammer to prevent serious injury or death from unintentional discharge. Never shoot the Hammer or allow it to be discharged without a magazine inserted in the magazine well.

UNLOADING PROJECTILES FROM THE MAGAZINE WITH THE GUN COCKED
To unload a projectile from the Umarex Hammer, always keep the barrel pointed in a safe direction. Put the rifle ON SAFE by engaging the manual safety on the right side of the receiver (Section 2A). Engage the field safety (Section 2C). Then remove the magazine (Section 9) and push the projectile(s) out of the magazine. Visually inspect the breech to verify a round is not in the barrel. Always reinsert the EMPTY magazine in the magazine well.

CAUTION
Never depress the magazine floor plate with anything other than the magazine. Never have your finger on the trigger when inserting or removing the magazine.

UNLOADING PROJECTILES FROM MAGAZINE WHEN THE GUN IS NOT COCKED
To unload a projectile from the Umarex Hammer, always keep the barrel pointed in a safe direction. Put the rifle ON SAFE by engaging the manual safety on the right side of the receiver (Section 2A). Then remove the magazine (Section 9) and push the projectile(s) out of the magazine. Visually inspect the breech to verify a round is not in the barrel. Always reinsert the EMPTY magazine in the magazine well.

REMOVING A JAMMED PROJECTILE
If you believe the air rifle is jammed, keep pointed in a safe direction, engage the manual safety and field safety screw (Section 2), remove the magazine (Section 9), remove any remaining projectiles from the magazine (Section 11B), and re-insert the magazine. Put your rifle “OFF SAFE” (Section 2) and fire at a safe target (Section 8). Do not try to reuse that projectile. If you are not able to unjam your airgun, contact Umarex USA’s Service Department.

IF THE GUN EXPELS ALL AIR
While rare, the Umarex Hammer could expel all the contents of its air reservoir when the valve is dirty. If this happens, first follow degassing procedures (Section 4 in this manual). Then make sure it is pointed in a safe direction, on safe, it is unloaded and an empty magazine is inserted in the magazine well. Verify it is unloaded and pointed in a safe direction. Cock the rifle and dry fire it. Refill the gun with air (see Section 3B). If air continues to leak from the barrel, repeat the process.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

COMMON PROBLEMS

UMAREX-2252635-Hammer-50-Caliber-PCP-Pellet-Gun-Air-Rifle-
FIG-18

CAUTION
Before any care, cleaning or maintenance, always be sure your airgun is on SAFE, is unloaded, and empty of air. Keep it pointed in a safe direction. It is important to perform routine inspections and maintain your airgun properly.

NOTICE
Oils that contain acid or resin can damage seals and possibly the finish of the airgun.

WARNING
Petroleum based lubricant must not be used in or with the compressed gas reservoir. NEVER STORE A LOADED OR COCKED AIRGUN. Unload projectiles from the airgun and degas it completely. Keep the airgun away from children and untrained shooters. Store projectiles separately from the airgun to keep them from untrained shooters. Protect your airgun from moisture and dirt; clean the airgun and wrap it in a smooth, dry cloth. If you are going to store your airgun for an extended length of time, be sure the barrel is protected. This can be accomplished by coating the bore with RWS Spring Cylinder Oil. Always use a soft cloth and insert the cleaning rod from the muzzle. Remove the oil completely before the next use.

REMEMBER: Always check to see that the airgun is unloaded when getting it from storage or another person. With care and routine inspections, your airgun will provide many sessions of shooting enjoyment. Abuse, neglect, and continued exposure to the elements will impair the performance of any airgun. Your Umarex Hammer is designed to fire .510 cal. projectiles only.

SURFACE
The exposed metal parts (receiver, screw heads, trigger, etc.) MUST be wiped clean using a slightly oiled cloth after handling to prevent rust. Use light acid-free and resin-free oil. RWS Spring Cylinder Oil is excellent for this.

WORKING PARTS
Your air rifle requires very little lubrication. The surface in front of the bolt (see Illustration 9a), the o-rings in the magazine well (see Illustration 9b), and the base of the magazine well (see Illustration 9b) should be lubricated with RWS Chamber Lube after every 50 shots. Remember, a little is good – a lot is not better.

WARNING Shooting the Hammer with a cracked barrel shroud may rupture the shroud and cause serious injury or death.

BARREL
In day to day use, dust from fired rounds and some dirt or residue will accumulate in the bore. During periods of regular use the bore of the barrel should be cleaned. Before cleaning, make sure the airgun has been degassed and all safeties have been engaged. The bore of the barrel should be cleaned periodically by means of a felt wad, cleaning rod with wool mop that is secured to the cleaning rod or a synthetic brush. If using a mop, ensure that the mop is retrieved after cleaning and does not get lodged in the barrel. Put a rag into the magazine well to catch loose debris before cleaning the barrel and insert cleaning tools into the muzzle end. DO NOT use brass or steel brushes.

MAGAZINE & MAGAZINE WELL
Clean the magazine and magazine well after the initial 25 shots and every 50 shots after initial cleaning with a lint free rag, synthetic oil, and/or canned compressed air. DO NOT use solvent. Cleaning may also be required after use in dusty, windy or wet/muddy conditions. To clean, first engage all safeties (Section 2) and degas the Hammer (Section 4). Remove the magazine from the mag well (Section 9). Make sure the magazine is unloaded. Clean the bores, dovetail grooves, bottom, and teeth of the magazine. Clean the top of the magazine where it engages the springs in the magazine housing. Clean the magazine floor plate safety, dovetail rails and breech faces in the magazine well. Clean the inside of the magazine housing (do not pull or stretch the springs during cleaning).

REPAIR & SERVICE

WARNING An airgun that is not operating properly may be dangerous. It should be kept safely from use by anyone until repaired or destroyed. Do not try to take the airgun apart. It is difficult to reassemble and will void the warranty. Improper disassembly or reassembly can cause serious injury or death. Do not return defective or damaged product to the dealer. If your airgun needs repair, call Umarex USA 479-646-4210 and ask for the Service Department or visit www.umarexusa.com. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DISASSEMBLE IT! Your airgun requires special tools and fixtures to repair it. Any disassembly or modification not performed by Umarex USA will void the warranty.

CAUTION
If you transport a compressed air reservoir by airplane or send it by courier, it must be completely degassed and checked to make sure it is empty of air.

NOTICE
Air transport can affect the performance of seals and o-rings.
