Descaling Process
- Unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely before wiping its base and other parts with a soft cloth.
- For more severe stains, a soft cloth dipped in neutral detergent can be used for wiping.
- Remove Scale: Many regions have a high carbon content in their water sources, resulting in a common problem of sediment accumulation in steam irons. The residue of minerals causes the steam to spray intermittently or even fail to spray.
The following method can effectively reduce sediment accumulation. If you are not using mineral-free water or distilled water, we recommend cleaning the sediment every month according to the following steps:
- Add a mixture of 50% vinegar and 50% water to the water tank.
- Turn on the power, press the steam switch to let the mixture enter the heating body, unplug the power, and wait for 40 minutes.
- Pour out the remaining mixture in the water tank and add clean water.
- Turn on the power, press the steam switch, and let the clean water enter the heating body.
- Repeat several times until the machine’s internal acidity is cleared.
If the steam cannot be normally emitted after descaling with the above steps, professional maintenance is required.
