Chaper 2 Operation guide
Please perform necessary inspections before riding the GUNAI electric bicycle:
- Is the battery fully charged?
- Is the key in the open position?
- Is the braking system working properly?
- Is the tire pressure normal?
- Are the handles and seats of the bike firmly installed without any looseness?
- Are the front and rear wheels locked?
- re there any error codes on the LCD screen?
What you need to know about batteries:
- During riding, frequent braking will result in shorter riding mileage. When the voltage is lower than half, please charge it in time. If you ride under the condition of low voltage for a long time it will affect the battery life.
- If you do not use an electric bicycle for a long time, please charge the battery regularly. It is recommended to charge the battery once a month. (Because the battery will discharge slowly even when not in use, if the battery is over-discharged, it may cause irreversible damage.)
- The batteries of any electronic devices (such as mobile phones, cameras, computers, etc.) are not allowed to come into contact with water. If you find that water has entered the battery,please do not use the battery until it is completely dry to avoid burning the battery or fire. Water in the battery may cause damage to the battery/deterioration of life. Damage caused by water in the battery is not covered by the warranty.
- The battery is not allowed to be stored/used under the scorching sun or at a high temperature above 60°C.Be careful not to drop, shock or squeeze the battery to avoid damage to the battery.
- When charging the battery, please use the special battery charger provided by GUNAI, and it is strictly prohibited to use non-original chargers.
- If you want to buy a spare battery, please buy the original battery in the GUNAI store. If you can’t find the purchase link, you can consult GUNAI customer service. If you use non-original chargers or batteries that cause damage to other parts of the bicycle (such as controllers, motors, batteries), you will need to purchase other damaged parts.
How to charge the battery correctly:
- Whether you want to take out the battery for charging or charge the battery on the bike, you should first plug the charger’s charging port into the battery port/bicycle charging port, and then plug the charger’s plugin to the power source.
- Please follow this order!!!
- When the indicator light of the charger changes from red to green, it means that the battery is fully charged. Under normal circumstances, it takes 4-6 hours from a dead battery to a full charge.
- iN order to ensure safety, the battery should be placed out of the reach of children when charging and there should be no other high-power electronic products or flammable or explosive materials around the battery. It is forbidden to use the charger in an environment with excessive smoke, dust, humidity, and direct sunlight. Do not use the charger during thunderstorms. Please maintain good ventilation and heat dissipation conditions when the charger is working.

P07: Speed gauge magnetic steel number: range:1-100;
This parameter is related to the meter display speed and needs to be entered correctly;
If it is an ordinary hub motor, the number of magnetic steel is input directly;If it is a high-speed motor, it is also necessary to calculate the deceleration ratio, and the input data = the number of magnetic steel x deceleration ratio; For example: number of motor magnets 20, deceleration ratio -
4.3: input data is:86 = 20×4.3
Note: The value here is based on kilometers. When the unit setting is converted from kilometers to miles, the speed value of the display interface automatically converts to the correct mie value, but the speed limit value data set at this menu under the mile interface is not converted. Is inconsistent with the actual speed limit of the mile speed;

Key Introduction
The specific combination of keys is as follows
Press the button to use the brief
Key operation is divided into short press and long press, and combination key length press Short press is used for rapid/frequent operations, such as the specific key combination position as follows
When riding, you need to modify the powerlspeed file, short press 2.
Toggle display data for multi-function areas during cycling, short click Single key length is mainly used to switch the mode / switch state Composite keys (long presses) are used to set parameters because the operation is complex, which can reduce errors (Short press does not make the composite key, because it is easy to trigger mistakenly, soit is too difficult to do)
Switching liquid crystal display
If the current display is working, long press turn on the screen Will turn off the screen, instead
Toggle multi-function display area content
Short Can switch the value of the multifunction display area
Set Parameters
Long press A + Will enter the parameter setting interface. Parameters that can be set include, Wheel diameter (in: inches), number of magnetic steel, liquid crystal brightness, low pressure points, etc. (see settings: PO1-P20);
Under Settings Interface, Can be short press or Set the value to perform a minimum-precision unit value operation, you can also long press
Note: due to the upgrade of the company’s products, the content of the product will be different from the specifications, but it will not affeet your normal use.
Chapter 4 Error and Solution
The power can be turned on, but the motor does not work
- If there is no error code on the screen, please check if there is any damage to the motor cable.
- Unplug the motor cable and plug it in again. (The interface of the motor cable is on the edge of the rear triangle of the frame.)
- Enter the setting mode of the screen and check whether the parameters are set incorrectly. You can ask GUNAI customer service for the factory parameters.
Error code
- If any error codes appear on your screen, please refer to the table on the next page.
- We recommend that you replug and unplug the wires of the controller and the motor after any error code appears, because the error code is likely to be caused by loose wires.
- You need to pay attention to the operation one by one when you plug and unplug the wires again, so as not to forget how the wires are connected.
- If the error code still exists after plugging and unplugging the cable, please take a photo of the error code displayed on the screen and send it to us, then we will solve the problem for you or provide you with effective suggestions.
- When encountering any Error code, we suggest you contact our email or WhatsApp to facilitate sending photos/videos to each other. This is so that we can solve your problems faster and more effectively.
