Soft Contact Lens Insertion
- Apply Eye Drops for Lubrication. This is VITAL. Lenses that are dry or shriveled will not transfer easily or at all.
- Position a Contact Lens on the center of the Bullseye End. Hold the wand with the Finger Grips. Some can use the Pincher End to Insert.
- Spread eyelids as far apart as possible to keep eyelashes out of the path.
- Focus on the Center Hole. Draw to the Eye slowly to allow the Lens to touch the Eye Gently. Blink until comfortable.
You can also stand the OptiWand up on a countertop and then lower down to insert lenses! This is best for those who have small eye cavities as you can use both hands to spread your eyes as wide as possible
Soft Contact Lens Removal
Try both ends for removal. Creativity has led to many ways to use this.
- Apply Eye Drops for Lubrication. This is VITAL. Lenses that are dry or shriveled will not transfer easily or at all.
- Be sure the contact lens is centered. Use a Mirror to help align. You can use either end to remove soft lenses. It is designed to cover the lenses and provide an easy way to Pinch the lenses. You can squeeze the Pincher at the tips to make it smaller to fit the eye cavity more easily.
- Draw to the eye slowly until the wand touches the Lens.
- PINCH High on the BASE with your fingers around the holes to Remove the Soft Lens. Some can use the Bullseye End to remove it. Try Both Ends. Some can PUSH the soft lens out when the wand touches it.
To clean use soft soap, rinse thoroughly, and air dry. Not dishwasher tested!
