The new Bendix/King AV8OR™ portable Multifunction Display (MFD) takes you to
the airport, provides airborne weather and guidance en route to your
destination, and even provides entertainment along the way. Designed by pilots
for pilots, the AV8OR’s exceptional graphical user interface means that you’ll
spend less time entering data and more time piloting.
The AV8OR portable MFD is much more than a simple GPS. It’s the perfect
traveling companion with built-in music, picture and movie playing
capabilities. It even interfaces with your Bluetooth cell phone. Whether for
business or pleasure, the AV8OR delivers
the information you want, when you want it – all in an easy-to-use and easy-
to-read, affordable package.
In the Air
AV8OR’s innovative features push beyond traditional portable GPS systems.
AV8OR’s large 4.3 inch diagonal, high brightness touch screen sets a new
standard for portable systems.
AV8OR’s touch-and-see feature lets you identify and get critical information
for objects on the map with a simple tap on the screen. Obstacle heights,
airspace limitations, VOR frequencies – they’re all just a touch away.
AV8OR’s touch-and-drag feature makes panning the map a simple, one-touch
operation. No more holding a cursor button and waiting to see what’s ahead.
Just drag the map to instantly scan ahead on your course or look to the side
for alternate destinations.
AV8OR’s smart profile view lets you plan ahead with a vertical profile view of
terrain, airspaces and obstacles on your course.
AV8OR can output NMEA GPS data for a variety of users, including autopilots in
experimental aircraft.*
AV8OR’s simple connection to your Bendix/King KDR 610 or WxWorxs XM satellite
receiver delivers true graphical weather to your cockpit. A full range of
weather products can be displayed, including: NEXRAD Composite Reflectivity,
Lightning, METARs, AIRMETs, SIGMETs, Convective-SIGMETs, PIREPs, TFRs and
more. Weather is available for US and Canada. AV8OR also includes XM radio
tuning (Fall 2010 release). AV8OR’s simple hookup to your Zaon Portable
Collision
Avoidance System (PCAS ™ ) XRX provides a variety of traffic advisory options.
Traffic can be shown as an overlay on the moving map, or displayed on the
dedicated Traffic page. As an added safety feature, traffic alerts can be
enabled to ‘pop up’
the traffic page regardless of what is presently being displayed.

Pilot Focused and Reliable
A product you can trust, AV8OR’s efficient touch screen and exceptional user
interface were derived from the pilot friendly, panel mounted Bendix/King MFD
systems. Aviation database updates as well as flight plan uploads are easily
obtained by simply connecting to your PC. Flight plans created in programs
such as FliteStar™can be loaded into the AV8OR. Previously flown and logged
flights can be uploaded to a computer and easily displayed in programs such as
Google™Earth.
On
the Ground = AV8OR’s built-in automotive navigation system provides both 2D
and 3D navigation views to get you where you need to go in the most efficient
way possible. With more than 10 million Points of Interest (POI) in the U.S.
and two million POI in Canada, you’ll always be able to find the nearest
shopping, restaurants, gas stations and more. AV8OR’s large, 4GB SD Card means
that it comes to you pre-loaded with both aviation and automotive databases
for the entire region of your choosing; with plenty of room to spare. If
that’s not enough, AV8OR’s built-in speaker provides voice prompts to your
destination, so you won’t have to take your eyes off the road. Available

When you’re not flying or driving, sit back, relax and listen to music, view
pictures, read an electronic book or watch a movie with AV8OR’s built-in media
players. The standard 4GB SD card has room to spare to add your own media
library. AV8OR also includes ports for video input and audio output.

You won’t have to worry about packing various media equipment for your next
flight.
In addition to its various multimedia applications, the AV8OR is also your
communication and information connection.
Conveniently use the included Bluetooth interface with your cell phone, XM
Weather receiver or alternate GPS receiver.

included.
